Just Baked

I don’t understand why the name is «Just Baked». They do not «bake» a morsel in this place. Cupcakes are very dry, not that great:(

Yum as usual! Being a kiosk, space limitations keep it from getting five stars from me. I usually prefer to get a cookie for my messy toddler, but there were only a couple there. And there were no signs on the cupcakes! I wasn’t sure if I should feel proud or ashamed that I could name most of the flavors I was interested in on sight.
While the cashier didn’t have the nifty stamp, she still signed off on my frequent cupcake-​er card, and said to just let them know where it was from if there was any question. She was very nice and helpful.

Not my favorite cupcake place around, simply because they aren’t as fresh as they could be. The cupcakes aren’t made in-​store (they are made in Michigan, so at least there’s that), so I never expect them to be extremely fresh, honestly. Just Bakes does earn high marks for their variety of flavors. They have basically 2 full cases of cupcakes, plus now they carry specialty brownies as well. I believe they also have ice cream. There are so many flavors, I haven’t ever gotten a repeat, so I don’t have a favorite. They’re pretty good and look impressive– and they’re pretty huge.
I never go without a coupon though! Sign up for their email and you get buy 2 get 1 free coupons or other deals every once in a while. I’ve also seen postcard-​size coupons around local area businesses (near the register or front window, where a lot of places have business cards or those free DTE tickets over the summer). The coupons make it worth it, because obviously cupcakes are always crazy overpriced.

Just Baked is a dangerous place. Dangerous for my waistline, that is. The moment I step through that door the little common sense I do have just escapes me. I can’t control myself. I want one of everything! Can I have all that? Sure can, they say. They are complete enablers in that place. I went in there for one cupcake for my grandmother’s birthday and left with 12. And my grandmother still only was gifted the one. I would tell you that one flavor rules over the others, but that would be a lie. And I’m no liar. If I were you I would stay far away from here. Save yourself.
