Just stopped in on our annual visit on the way back from Texas, to Indiana… but it looks like the store is permanently closed:’(we were very disappointed because we have always been a huge fan of their amazing sandwiches and especially their beef jerky. But for those who don’t know, it is distributed at all Loves gas stations! I believe the Marietta location is still in operation, but this one appears to have been closed for a long time…

Haven’t been there in quite a while, but I have to say that I love there sandwiches. I can say that there is a feeling that you get from a no-frills sandwich that makes you just want more. These are sandwiches like you make at home or on a picnic, but with good meat. They are the kind of sandwich that take you back to your childhood, and remind you of those homemade sandwiches that you always loved.

No, that’s not an abandoned gas station on the side of the road. That’s actually my favorite place to eat anywhere on US69 in Oklahoma. It’s a sandwich shop that doesn’t cut the meat until you pick it out from under the counter, much like at a market. They are high-quality, custom sandwiches at a great price. I had a turkey with provolone and mustard along with a cane-sugar Dr Pepper(good call) I pulled from their drink fridge. I had no idea what to expect when I pulled-up the first time but ended-up being pleasantly surprised. Hopefully this place continues to stay in business because it is hard to tell what it is from the outside. It’s hard to peg down an address for this place, but I changed the marker on Google Maps so maybe more travelers will stop in. Give it a try and you may find yourself in hog heaven!(sorry)
