Now this place is special to me. Me and my cousin Genie used to come here for everything we needed for dinners. The people are always really nice and helpful when needed. The meat section is small but adequate with good looking meats. Now it is up the highway a piece from the beach but. I like it and that should say just about enough. There are some smaller places a little farther up the road but this is the one Genie liked so I started to go here and learned it. I will always come here no matter what.

This is a flash back to past. I loved the A&P when I was a kid. This is still going to be my pick for the grocery stores in the area. Reminds of times gone by before Walmart/Sams moved in and took over. Love small town anything.

Worst grocery I have ever visited. Bought aspirin and as I was checking out saw it was expired Told the manager and he said go look for another one. I left. In general this store is messy and badly managed. Fruits and vegetables were not fresh. Will not be back.

I am happy to make the trip from Rumson to this A&P, which is clean, well lit and offers a more expansive array of products than the supermarkets closer to my house. What I like most is the store is consistent in its offerings, e.g. they always have the brand of pet food(Iams) we use. Oddly at other stores it seems to be a 50 – 50 proposition.

And I thought the Pathmark in Montclair was a bad grocery store(see review), this A&P is THE worst grocery store… ever. They never have anything I want and I always see spoiled food on their shelves. I bought shredded cheese last week, that didn’t expire for another month, but I opened it and it was moldy. But I already threw away the receipt so I couldn’t return it. That pissed me off. Sadly, it’s the closest grocery store to me so for something quick it’s the most convenient, but I don’t think I can bring myself to ever shop here again. Moldy cheese goddamn it!
