The Pool

My husband and I need a break from work and kid. We booked a cabana — on a Friday in June it requires a food and beverage purchase of 150 but the cabana is only 25. Tyra, our server, has been terrific — even when I order off the menu (because that’s what I usually do. She is friendly and checks in as often as we need her. He cabana is a great area for shade and a little sun, though not much if you want to sunbathe. Our goal was to relax and not care about anything and the staff here has made that a wonderful reality. There is action but it isn’t overwhelming. Good people watching but also can feel relaxed. :). Fabulous pool and jacuzzis. :)

First time I came here was on 8÷13÷11. The pool area is big, in my book, it’s like you are poolside in Vegas or in Miami. I saw that the actual pool is 4 feet deep. The club is really not bad. They got a bar inside. When I was here, I saw people dancing in the pool. I have nothing against that. I know they have many events going on. I also like how they got that display where you can get your picture taken with the pool after dark display board. I think it’s still there.

The Pool is an oasis in the middle of Harrah’s. Comparatively to other notes and resorts it is truly an experience that bumps Harrah’s up a notch from many other properties. Entrance is permitted to 21 and up only. The property has a separate swim area for children and families that is accessible after Memorial Day. ID is required to enter and wristbands are given. Beach towels are available at the door. Two, fully stocked, bars are within the area along with servers. Reverse happy hour specials are also available. Lunch is served after 11:30 also. My recommendation is to wake up and get their early. The pool was never overcrowded during our stay, however, securing a lounge chair while you swim or hang out at the hot tub can be a little tricky if you are not early. On the other hand, it isn’t really important to do so because plenty of bench seating and chairs are also available.
Essentially, The Pool is a huge green house with a pool in the center. As soon as you enter, the temperature is warmer. There are love palm trees and many other plants which almost treacherous the enormously high glass ceiling. At one point, we saw people attempting to sunbathe in here. I think it would be possible on less cloudy days, but would ultimately be more effective on the deck which can be accessed by entering the pool area. Five hot tubs surround the pool and the actual pool, itself, is rather large and is only four feet deep.
Admission is free during the day for hotel guests. I highly recommend visiting, if you’re staying here. This specific review is based on The Pool during the day. The Pool After Dark is a separate review.

Don’t waste your time coming here at night. Super Ghetto crowd. Almost got into three fights with three idiots. A lot has changed since the last time I was here. Will never come back to this place.

We come to harrahs Wednesday nite for the pool after dark party. Sometimes it can be a little thuggy but mostly it’s ok. The music is usually sub par.
First let me say the pool is beautiful HOWEVER if you’ve ever been to a vegas pool, this is the exact opposite. At the pool they play lite fm type music (not tropical/​caribbean/​or club) and the place is 90% filled with geriatrics who wake up at the crack of dawn, grab the few chairs there are and camp out all day… What a waste.
The scam the pool runs is they reserve a bunch of chairs then rent them for $ 10… or they have day beds that they rent for $ 25 then you have to spend $ 100 on food n drink or they charge you $ 55 for the bed.
But it’s better than nothing.

Another wonderful day spent here at this pool. This pool is the main reason I stay in this hotel. If you plan on spending the entire day in here like I do you should rent one of the day beds. For 50 bucks to rent, or 25 for rental with 125 minimum food and beverage purchase. The cocktail waitresses are excellent and always very helpful. I also love the food here. They have a reversed happy hour which I had a $ 6 mimosa and $ 7 BLT sandwich. Then for happy hour from 3 – 5 I had a mango daiquiri and the $ 5 wings. I am never disappointed in the food. Quality is top notch and you really get a nice size portion of food for both the happy hour choices and regular menu items.

We used to visit the pool 2 or 3 Thursday’s out of the month to enjoy the beautiful pool & private hot tubs. We would stay there from noon to midnight eat there, get drinks, then stay all day. Unfortunately, they’re management has changed and we will no longer be visiting the pool for their all day Thursday pool party’s. We were harassed repeatedly for payments before we even ordered anything. Our cards and our friends cards were charged incorrectly several times, even though we were told that there would only be a «hold» on our cards. My wife had a $ 300, $ 50, $ 103, $ 102 charge on her card, after we paid our bill in total in cash! If you’re looking to be harassed for money while you sit by a pool, this place is for you. Harrahs, why did you change???

The pool is the main reason I stay at Harrahs. Great atmosphere! Love the pool and the hot tubs. The pool water can some times be cold and dirty. .last few times I went there was a thick layer of grease on the top of the pool water and was like that my whole trip. I hope its not like that during my next visit and hopefully they warm up the pool water a little. Also some of the smaller hot tubs were not very hot during my last stay… hopefully was just slacking on that visit and this isn’t how it will be going forward. They have a great drink and food menu… their happy hour needs to be improved. The wings are really good. Emilio is the BEST bartender there he always takes very good care of us! Can’t wait to relax in the hot tub with my wine in a couple weeks!

The Pool at Harrah’s is a big ADULTS ONLY pool area enclosed inside a huge glass dome. The main pool is in the middle of the complex, and it is quite big. Several hot tubs are available in different parts of the complex. Numerous lounge chairs and a few comfy benches are spread out throughout the complex. A decent number of cabanas containing a TV and mini-​bar are available for rent (fees apply).
Two bars are available for anyone who wants overpriced drinks, even though one of them was operational at the time I went. I guess both are open when this place gets crowded. There’s also a second level called «The Loft». That level contained another bar and several blackjack tables. It looks like that level is utilized during the nightclub hours.
As soon as we finished unpacking at our room on a Sunday afternoon, we headed over to The Pool. When we walked in, we were greeted by someone at the front desk. We had to present our key cards to show that we were guests. I had to show my ID to prove that I’m 21 and over (my parents didn’t have to show). After that, we were given wristbands and towels and proceeded to take a lounge chair.
After placing our belongs on a lounge chair, we immediately proceeded to the hot tub for the remainder of the afternoon. The hot tub that we were in could seat a decent amount of people. The temperature was comfortable, and the tub was quite clean. It was worth every minute relaxing in there.
The next morning, we spent two hours there before checking out of the hotel. The same procedures applied as before, and then we ended up in the hot tub. We also took a dip in the main pool just to say we did. Needless to say, it was too cold for us! For that, we just relaxed in the hot tub for the remainder of our time.
The temperature in this area was 82 degrees, which felt comfortable. Numerous palm trees were scattered about, probably just to make everyone feel that they were in paradise and relaxing. We didn’t drink here at all due to the exorbitant pricing. At the time we went, we didn’t have to pay a cover charge to enter. Overall we were very pleased with this pool complex. We will be back during a time when cover charges aren’t required for entering if you’re guests at Harrah’s.

This place is great. It’s beautiful and the upstairs outdoor area is fantastic as well. Everyone is dressed to kill and down for an amazing time. The crowd is mostly people in their mid 20s. It’s a perfect mix between semi-​classy, and people having a blast. You’ll have a good time without dealing with the losers being obnoxiously drunk.

Huge pool and dome. Everywhere was clean including the locker rooms and bathrooms. Lockers are also available. Service was prompt and friendly. Pool was warm and clean. Air was super clean and not too humid.

This pool is great. The air is great. The food is good too. Alcohol is nice. Only problems are soggy fries? And lack of beach chairs. The jacuzzi is very nice. And the atmosphere is chill. Definitely check it out if you enjoy relaxing, swimming, eating and definitely drinking (because they add a lot more Alcohol.

This pool is one of a kind in AC. It’s enclosed in a huge glass dome with palm trees, Cabanas and lounge chairs and it lets plenty of sun in to the point where you forget you’re not actually outside. There are also jacuzzis on each side of the pool.
The music is always playing and it’s always 80 degrees.
It’s really fun. This past Sunday they even had a volleyball net and we got a group of people playing for about 2 hours!!!
Cocktail and food service is a bit slow but they have some pretty unique beachy drinks and the food is pretty good. I would subtract a star for this but the waitresses are both very pretty and extremely nice when they do come by, which makes up for the slow service in my book :-)

I loooooooooooooooooooooooooooove staying at Harrah’s Atlantic city. The best of both worlds. By day im on the 4^th foor poo with the kids. by night, the adult pool party and casino. Always have a Blast.

The Pool at Harrah’s is one of the more unique spots in Atlantic City. There are other pools in AC open year-​round, but this one was created to feel a little more special.
PROS:
–Like I said, it’s open year round. Rain or shine. 100 degrees or 10 degrees. It’ll be open.
–NO KIDS ALLOWED. It doesn’t matter if you have a 2-​year-​old or a 19-​year-​old. It’s always 21+ to get in.
–It’s a paradise away from paradise. While it’s not quite a tropical vacation, it can fill that void. The décor just has a way of relaxing you.
–If you aren’t relaxed by the décor, you can order yourself an adult beverage and get your relax on. They have servers that will take your order from your lounge chair.
–It’s one of Atlantic City’s hottest night clubs (see separate Pool After Dark review listing)
CONS:
–It is open year round… except when it’s closed. If the pool is your main attraction, check the website or give them a call before you plan your trip. It does close from time to time for maintenance, etc.
–It’s one of Atlantic City’s hottest night clubs. They must have a crew that cleans between the night time and daytime activities, however there’s no way to full clean up from the nightclub. Gum on the ground and some overall grime is a dead giveaway.
–Aside from being a little dingy from the nightclub, the entire venue is also starting to show its age.
–Good luck getting a chair after a certain time each day. That time will vary from day to day, but it can be a free-​for-​all in there if you aren’t any early riser. Extra luck if you are trying for two chairs or a group of chairs together. But it would be the same way at a beach club, so it just gives you that tropical vacation feeling.
–Same goes for a spot in the hot tub. It’s a little easier to find a spot than a chair, but if you are with multiple people you need to stake out several openings.
–The drinks are a little pricy. It’s not-​unexpected, but it’s just not ideal.
So a tropical vacation would obviously be better than a trip to Harrah’s Pool, but all things considered, there are more similarities than differences. It’s a good place to go if you need a rewind and aren’t looking for a major trip.

Pool is 4 foot deep. Boo. Hot tubs all around the pool hidden. Relaxing and cozy, not overcrowded on a Wednesday morning. Pool closes at 6pm. Another boo!

Super relaxing to come here mid November. The glass dome and the regulated room temperature makes it feel like its summer! I fell asleep pool side with a Pina Colada and I was so relaxed. Its even nicer to come here this time of year in the fall than it is in the summer. In the summer the sun beams thru the glass making it scorching hot inside the pool area. I highly recommend grabbing a bathing suit and a drink no matter what time of year!

If you stay at the Harrah’s the entrance is free of charge. If you don’t it’s $ 20. If you’re trying to pretend to go to a place that is warm with palm trees without the cost of flight or use of a passport, then this place is for you! I didn’t mind spending the $ 20 to get in. Some people in my group thought it was not worth the $ 20 to get in, but in my opinion, warm weather, water, and fake palm trees beats the cold, rainy atlantic city and its rough beaches, especially in mid May. They have frozen drink specials that run for about $ 7.00. The vodka seltzers were about $ 10 — not the worst albeit a bit pricey for my broke taste. They do serve food, so you’re free to order from one of the bikini clad waitresses.
If you get there at a good time, you can huddle around a jacuzzi and pretend your vip without paying the astronomical prices of a cabana or anything of that sort.
I would def. return to this place. Sure you’re going to see a bunch of idiots, but you’re not there for the idiots, you’re there for your people and a little warm weather. Take a deep breath and just relax to the beats of top 40 of today and yesterday. lol

Overpriced admission. Beer was overpriced. Music was typical mainstream radio. When i go to a club i want yo enjoy a dj that can actually «dj» and not play song to song with no transitions. Layout of the club was great. Club offered gambling and swimming on top of typical club experience. Based on entry price and overpriced beer I will not be returning.

No effing annoying little kids allowed! 21 and over at all times.
Always a balmy 82 degrees 365 days a year in an indoor tropical oasis.
Plenty of lounge chairs, hot tubs, cabanas, and a clean pool to chill in.
Full bar serving cocktails and food with bikini clad waitresses patrolling the area.
A DJ and celebrity host driven party at poolside on the weekends. It’s a human petri dish of Jersey Shore meatheads and wannabee’s. Always fun people watching.
Again, No Effing Annoying Little Kids Allowed! Jackpot!
