I will NEVER eat at this place again. 1. Upon entering the establishment, my sister and I were greeted with the most hateful stare imaginable by an overweight middle aged caucasian couple. I felt like they were trying to intimidate us from eating there! Ridiculous, and as this is 2016 and not the civil rights era we ate there anyway. 2. The host came to greet us– an elderly asian man whose accent was very thick — and we asked to sit at a booth. His response? «No.» just like that. While I was still trying to process being told no I can’t sit there, he says the booth is not open. Wrong answer. We told him, well open it up, that’s where we’d like to sit, and we see many other people sitting at booths, and the booths are set for people to sit. I don’t know what his problem was but it was unprofessional. So we sit at the booth, being glared at by the aforementioned couple the whole way there. Luckily we sat behind them. 3. The table was set, but dirty, server gave us an attitude when we asked him to wipe the table. At this point I was ready to leave but my pride wouldn’t let me. The actual waiter was very nice and attentive, but the food was just ok, and in my opinion way over priced for the terrible service and mediocre food. I had the chicken caesar salad and my sister had the shrimp scampi. We both left feeling like we just wasted our time and money.

Stopped by for breakfast on our way out of town. Good was very good. I had pancakes and my wife an omelette. Service was exceptional and reminded me of the way casino restaurants used to me. Meal was reasonably priced.

Wow. Just not good. The service was awful. Took 15 – 20 minutes just to get a refill on an iced tea while we were still waiting for our food after about 35 minutes. The food was not particularly memorable either. I had a veggie panini with veggies that were cooked for about 10 minutes too long. I couldn’t taste much texture, especially with the mass amounts of(albeit good) melted cheese. The pizza that my tablemates ordered was not particularly good(although could you expect it to be from a place like this?). And when a burger is asked to be cooked medium rare and it comes out looking like a hockey puck, I think you need to learn your timing a little bit better. Not again. Trop should just shut this place down.

3.5 stars! My daughter and I stayed at the Trop for the night. We needed coffee and breakfast the next morning and decided to check out Seaside Café. Host was courteous and seated us quickly. Our server, Linda was friendly and did a great job waiting on us. My daughter and I both had scrambled eggs, toast, hash browns and turkey sausage. My daughter had a mimosa. Good experience.

Place is dirty and filthy. Service is terrible. Food is sub par. The water tasted funny. I really do not have anything good to write about this place. My wife couldn’t even drink the coffee. The reason for 2 stars is because the prices are reasonable.

Recovery food. Big breakfast : Home fries, two eggs, country ham and coffee that is refillable free 10 dollars . I can’t complain at all, my food came fast, attentive staff and we sat right in …

Went here for breakfast. not enough staff and the ones that work here don’t do their well at all. no one knows how to cook an egg correctly… tiny cups of coffee which need to be refilled constantly by waiters. that don’t show up to tables… this place sums up the Trop. In general

We stayed at the Tropicana. The food was decent and we had $ 10 food credit with out overnight stay at the hotel so that was a nice treat. The prices are fair as well. Our waiter kept forgetting our water which is not cool but otherwise the food was good and the price was fair. I can’t say much about the ambience though. The crowd at Tropicana are not like the borgata crowd.

Come late night for no frills meals. This is one of the few 24 hour food options, so when you return from the club or finally tear yourself away from those slot machines, you’ll likely end up here. Think diner food options. If your night is coming to an end, they’ll even wrap it up for you to take back to your room.

After my amazing romantic lovey dovey Valentines day and stay at the Tropicana, the next morning we chose to get our typical late breakfast/lunch meal and I had a hotel credit and was able to use it towards the hotel restaurants and chose to eat at this place because it sounded close to what we were looking for. When we got there the line was long but it went by pretty quick and the host and hostess were very pleasant and nice. We finally got our table and the menu was not offering very much to eat and especially breakfast wise but then again all you can really eat for breakfast is EGGS! There wasn’t anything special or much of a selection and the prices were a bit high especially for a typical BLT or grill cheese and its not like there giving you extras or maybe throw in some fries for free like that meal would typically come with! I ordered the triple decker sandwich which came with turkey, bacon, lettuce, tomato and mayo in the packets which is kind of annoying but thank goodness for my boyfriend who treats me like a princess and helped me out with the packets like if I was 5 ! He ordered the cuban which is roast pork, pickles, white cheese and a mustard mayo mix and came with fries. The meal was pretty good and pretty filling but the waiter wasn’t all that great and he went missing majority of the time we didn’t even know who to give the bill to and I forgot to add that the orange juice was def. from those soda machines which sucks cause in the morning I TOTALLY look forward to fresh cold large orange juice to PUCKERMEUP! So that sucked! Overall, as a last minute, hang over recovery and wake up starving this is a decent place to eat but I think I rather go to McDonalds on the strip or even papa johns since its not like you make breakfast half the time regardless if your check out is at 11am. Theres even a HOOTERS! Nothing like wings for breakfast!

We went here because we missed the buffet and this was the restaurant they had recommended on the sign. BIGMISTAKE! We made it to our table and waited 5 minutes for a waiter who was looking right at us to approach our table. I ordered the chicken matzo soup and cajun alfredo. My husband ordered the salad and cajun alfredo. 1. The soup was tasteless. The broth had to of been really really watered down. The matzo was not cooked properly. Inedible. I put it to the side of the table and it sat there for 10 minutes when the waiter decided to finally ask about it. I told him I did not like it and there was no offer to correct the matter at all. He just said«oh, sorry.» 2. The cajun alfredo was disgusting. Sauce had no flavor whatsoever and the«chicken»(and I use that term lightly) tasted incredibly processed. I have never tasted chicken that reminded me in flavor of hotdogs. My husband eats everything, and its a shame when he wont even take more then 2 bites out of a plate. The waiter again never asked us how we liked the food, simply if we wanted togo boxes. There were clearly 2 barely touched plates sitting there with unhappy looking patrons. For the prices we were paying -«diner or not», I expect at least half decent tasting food. Not nasty. Be wary of this place, good luck to you if you do decide to dine here. Hopefully you have much better food then we did.

It’s slightly more creative and much more expensive than your average diner. The food is pretty good, actually. The cheesesteak spring rolls were good(although you only get 2 in an order for $ 8) and the corned beef hash was great. I ate brunch here twice over a long weekend because it was close to our hotel, right on the boardwalk, and had no wait. I got a mimosa($ 9) both times. The first time, our waiter brought out a half-full champagne glass and it seemed like the hugest ripoff… until he brought out individual bottles of champagne for each of us. So the mimosa is a really good deal! And they’ll even give you a to-go cup.

I ordered a simple burger and instead of fries I wanted onion rings(even if it was going to cost a bit more) to which my waitress flat out said«NO» and that if I wanted it, I’d have to order it separately out of the appetizer section for like 5 bucks extra. For a place that serves pretty mediocre food, you would think they would be a bit more flexible, no? Also, their chicken quesadilla does not come with a side of guacamole which really got on my nerves, I asked my waitress where it was when she handed me my plate and she said, «No, we don’t serve it like that here” — Come on lady, don’t you know anything else other than«No»? sheesh!

Awake for an 11AM checkout after a long night and not much sleep all I wanted was some yummy breakfast, well this place did not live up to my longings. I paid $ 11 for 2 super rubbery pancakes, any pancakes I’ve eaten before could simply be cut with a fork, these practically had to be pulled apart! Sadly, I did not even finish one pancake and was left longing for some of my dad’s delicious homemade pancakes. Everyone else that I was with ordered eggs of some sort and they all seemed happy with it, I guess I made the bad call on that order. All dishes came with a mini muffin which was cute and the only tasty part of my meal. I ordered coffee figuring I’d get a cup but they gave me and entire thermos full. There was a line to be seated but we did not wait more than 15 minutes to be seated. Casual place inside of the casino. The tables and chairs reminded me and my friends of patio furniture. Our waiter was very nice and attentive and the place was very clean. Everything was way overpriced, 6 of us for breakfast was a little over $ 100. A bowl of cereal(which none of us ordered) was $ 6, you can get 2 boxes for the prices of that damn bowl! Definitely try to venture out of the casino(hungover or not) and find a better place for breakfast!

Its a diner. It’s not going to be amazing. They have solid breakfast food, and their sandwiches are usually good. It’s a diner, if you order a filet — it probably isn’t going to come out right. Order standard diner staples, and you will be fine. A lot of the servers seem miserable. If you go on a weekend day between 9 and 1, it will be packed. It’s usually a very quick turnover thought. It used to be a lot better, a few years ago before the economy and then it was bought out(the casino) but what can you do.

Hands down, this restaurant serves some of the most disgusting food I’ve ever eaten. Think glorified cafeteria food from middle school. If my boyfriend didn’t have a voucher to this place, we would’ve skipped it entirely. And unfortunately having not checked Unilocal prior to coming to the restaurant, we made the mistake by eating here. Lesson learned. Needless to say, we are not coming back with or without voucher.

You should only come here for breakfast although by the time you get seated it will probably be lunch. We waited on line for about a half hour while the manager bs’ed with a few«high rollers» at the front of the line. When we finally sat down in the back part of the restaurant, there were about 20 open tables. I asked the waitress why don’t they fill them up and she replied, «We get no business, so they’ve been laying people off». Game, set, match… Make sure you have a comp. A bowl of chopped bananas is $ 6. Juice is $ 5. Pancakes are about $ 11…

Snack at 3AM, Chicken Quesadilla with raw onions and scallions. Where’s the chicken? Hmm something’s not right here. Only 1 of 3 of us were actually happy with our snack. Stick with Eggs & Breakfast items next time.

She Said…” Eh… nothing about this place stands out enough for me to write about. If you go early for lunch you will probably have to wait a while, but dinner is pretty low-key. I ordered a steak and cheese and regretted it after i ate it. The steak and mashed potatoes we got the night before that were pretty good though. Only reason we went here was because it was compt…” He Said…“You can find this place at the Trop, and it was only one of two restaurants that we got comp’ed so we tried it. The steak was good everything else was like cafeteria food. Nothing special, service was good, except for the fact the guy forgot our appetizers. By the way you can’t see the sea, technically its on the«seaside» of the casino but don’t expect to see the ocean. ”
