Place rating: 2 New York, NY
The service at this place is horrible. The line was out the door and they were ill-equipped to deal with more than 2 customers at a time. 3 different people took my order, wrote it with a sharpie on an 8.5×11 piece of paper, handed it back to me and passed me down the line to the next person — the process of getting a slice of cheese pizza and a ready-made salad was WELL over 10+ minutes! This place would be closed in 2.3 seconds in NYC… With a line out the door(easily 35 – 40 people), you’d think they would have been trying to hurry, but once we got to the cash and handed the sheet of paper, we had to tell him our order again! Being that this place is across the street from the Convention Center, you’d think they’d be used to having crowds of people… geesh! Signage & printed materials invite people to enjoy their«restaurant ambiance» — and that’s fine, so long as they mean«pizza joint.» Ugh. The only reason this place gets 2 stars is for the variety of the menu — none of it was really amazingly delicious, but they get props for offering a huge selection of special slices, as well as 5 or so ready-made salads, including the Spinach & Cranberry Salad that had almonds & strawberries with gorgonzola cheese!
