One of my all time favorites. Chili dogs and ice cream can’t be beat! Highly recommend the onion rings and strawberry shake.

Only soft-serve vanilla ice cream I could find in Atlanta, and it was delicious!

I really liked my experience here. The service was very friendly and filled with laughter. The wait was 15 mins but there were a lot of people placing orders. Ultimately it was well worth the wait, burgers taste wayyyyy better than they look. Not dry, nice crispy buttery bun, overall yummy cheat food.

This was the worst experience in restaurant history I would of gave zero stars. The staff was cursing each other out they were rude and loud on a Sunday with kids present. Just so ghetto and unprofessional will never visit this location again. The tables were dirty the floor was dirty it was a hot mess. Two men had to get up and make them shut up just goes to show you when you eat in the hood this what you get. Us AA people need to do better

I’ll start by saying I’m a pretty healthy guy. I watch what I eat, try to eat my veggies as much as possible(I actually enjoy them), and I stay pretty active. I tell you this because I don’t get out for junk food much, but when I do, I want it to be great. I’ve only been a handful of times and haven’t tried a host of items from their menu, which is a fairly vast menu by the way. I mean, would you expect to find shrimp on a menu at a place like Zesto? I dunno! But there is shrimp on the menu, and jumbo shrimp at that. Haven’t been to the Zesto web site yet? Check it out! It’s actually a pretty good web site complete with menus for all of their Atlanta locations. So, of the items I’ve had here, there has been the chili dog, a couple arctic swirls, and a cone. All has been enjoyable, and memorable, even. Just last night I had a hankering for an ice cream treat, and so I went to get my Butterfinger Arctic Swirl. That, for those of you non-Zesto’ers, is a frozen ice cream concoction of vanilla soft serve blended with a candy favorite. For under $ 4, this treat packs some serious punch, as does their chili dog. I scarfed that thing down so fast, I swear I could have eaten at least a few more, and it’s probably a damn good thing that I didn’t. But, I will go back for another at some point, and I will certainly be back for my future ice cream hankerings. So what else is the draw to this place? I mean, if burgers, fries, chicken wings, and ice cream aren’t enough, then there is this. Last night I watched a homeless guy have a side of french fries with three cups of ketchup singing along to an oldie but goodie on the Zesto radio. He was just chilling out, enjoying his fries and a good song, awesome. What’s good about that is it doesn’t matter who you are when you come here. They welcome all. And the customer service, it’s a standout actually. When handed my change last night, the lady at the register says enthusiastically, «thank you, baby.» I like that, and it makes me want to return for more. Honestly, it seems like most of the employees I see working there are always having a pretty good time, and who doesn’t like to have fun at work? This might not be the place you want to frequent if you’re trying to watch your waistline, but if you just need some good, old-fashioned, fried food and ice cream, accompanied by plenty of fluorescent lighting, then look no further. Zesto is the spot for you.

As you can tell from the pictures, the burger is nothing extra special. It tastes much better than it looks. I asked questions of the cashier and she answered them. I couldn’t decide between the Fatboy burger or the chubby decker. She said the fatboy is like a Big Mac. Special sauce lettuce cheese pickles onions on a sesame seed bun. As she described the Chubby Decker, a customer next to me said it’s very delicious and highly recommended it. I took his recommendation and I liked it. What this place reminds me of is the food from Dairy Queen back when they served real food and you could smell freshly grilled burgers walking through the door. you know, the smell used to make your mouth water and you’d pray you’d get everything plus an ice cream. Well, that’s what these burgers remind me of. When burgers from fast food joints were actually pretty decent. I highly recommend this place for families to drop in and grab some food to go for when you don’t know what you want or everyone wants something different. They have wings, fish sandwiches, burgers, dogs, and even Mexican food. They also offer dessert items mostly ice cream based such as sundaes, cones, malt shakes and they even have slushes to drink along with fountain beverages and sweet tea. Since the space is cramped and there is barely any moving room, they do a good job of getting you in and out. The customer service is very lackluster but I guess it’s to keep the lines down but they act like they are seriously bothered when you ask them questions. If you’re not in a hurry and you’re lucky enough to snag a seat, go for it. You sit in a swivel stool and eat off a counter against the wall. You can people watch as you dine. They have no tables and not much counter seating space. It’s worth a try and I must say I’d come back here before going back to the varsity. This place is basically a upgraded version of Dairy Queen/McDeath and may even be reminiscent of when some of those places sold better quality food. Given the choice between them and here, I’d pick here any day. Parking is miniscule to practically nonexistent. Most people must walk over because I don’t see them servicing the people they do with the miniature parking lot they have. They gave me a somewhat cold burger. I’m only giving it three stars for the swift service and the way the food tasted. I’ll come back and if I get another cold burger, I’m dropping my stars down to maybe a 1.

A few things may have improved since my last visit. Before that, my relative and I enjoyed eating food from this location and the one that was in decatur. Over time, employees changed and attitudes became worse. Sometimes, the menu items like nuts in the nut brown crown, the oreos in the artic swirl and the ice cream cones were stale. Since you have to enter to order, each customer is not always greeted. When I entered, I received no greeting. I ordered an ice cream without a lid, requested that there be a peak. I was told that I would get that but nope. Lid on and the female would not add more ice cream but gave a look as if she did her job before giving it to me. While waiting for that ice cream, at least ten minutes afterwards, a caucasian male entered to receive a greeting. Quite informative. Parking is not well defined, not even and SMALL. The business is along two streets, one has houses and the other has traffic. So, if you’re on the side of zesto close to that disgusting bathroom, then people will come from your blind sides. Really there is nothing special anymore about the menu, especially when certain foods are stale or greasy combined with poor customer service, even when you have intention to only order food and pay for it.

So I came here for ice cream with the kids during the Halloween Festival and Parade. Even though they were VERY busy, they were so nice. I ordered three small ice cream cups with sprinkles. 1st off, a small is like a LARGE. It was a massive amount of ice cream. 2nd, the amount of sprinkles used was Amazing! My kids were so happy. I was happy. Everyone was happy. Would I come here for a fancy meal… no. Would I come here for a grilled cheese and soft serve… YES!

Nothing fancy at the Zesto. Just hardcore junk food served hot and fast. On my first visit, I ordered the chili dog with a side of slaw. The tater tots are the thing – fried up to a golden brown. Crispy, never soggy. Seasoned just right. Yum! Everyone raves about the dipped cones of soft serve ice cream. I will make this a priority the next time I need a fast food fix.

Zesto milkshakes are good for when you need a milkshake fast, but you’re not willing to make a big financial investment on one. We’re all familiar with the feeling, yes? They have lots of flavors of milkshakes, and the final product is just fine. Definitely not the best milkshake in town, but it’ll do when you need a fix.

Get the Chubby Decker. You won’t regret it. It’s messy, it’s not gourmet, it’s perfect. You got your double patty with the traditional burger accoutrements(ketchup, mustard, a few onion slices, PICKLEZ, lettuce, tomato and perfectly melted cheese). Yeah – it’s not a Burgerfi shishi burger, nor is it a Holeman and Finch ubershishi burger, but if you’re looking to spend less than 10 bucks on a meal, do yourself a favor and hit Zesto’s for their Chubby Decker. Other menu highlights: piping hot tots and their hot wings. What I don’t like about Zesto’s – and I guess it’s a criticism that could easily be levied against L5P in general – is how unnecessarily garish, gritty and sketchy it is. The bathrooms are indeed nightmarish. The strong lighting makes you feel like you’re in an examination room. If you are cool with both of those things, then you will love this place. And probably hold it in higher regard than that overrated tourist trap we call the Varsity. Standby.

I love and hate this place at the same time. On one hand I find it amazing to have a corner location for burgers and shakes with different varieties. On the other hand I can’t say I’ve had anything food related from here that surpasses what I’ve had at different establishments. The ice cream is great but the burgers are dressed up but relatively mediocre! Wouldn’t suggest this place besides for mid day ice cream. Also the service is pretty below average so be prepared to wait entirely too long to get your order.

Not the best service ever, but so great when you feel the urge to eat something entirely unhealthy. I love going here on a lazy Saturday night to grab food before hibernating. I would do anything for a brownie deluxe sundae. It is absolutely amazing.

This is an okay place to run into, if you’re looking for inexpensive eats. The burgers are pretty tiny, and are always so flat that they look like they’ve been sat on. Also, they hardly have any condiments on them. One thing I actually like here is the Coney Dog. It’s a foot long, with a small amount of chili, and slaw on top. I like the slaw here enough to always order an extra cup of it, then I add a little more to my Coney Dog. The tots here are always nice and crispy. This Zesto would be a much better place to it at, if they would clean it up and keep it clean, but for food to go, it’s not bad.

Zesto’s is a local fast food chain that was started by a Greek family back in the 1940s or 1950s. Whenever people from out of town ask me about The Varsity and whether or not they should go there to eat, I often refers them to Zesto’s instead. The Chubby Decker burger is comparable to McDonald’s Bic Mac or Burger King’s Whopper, but better. The fries at Zesto’s are of the crinkle cut variety and are always cooked just perfectly and are served piping hot. The soft served ice cream treats are the stuff of legend. When I partake in a dessert here I always get the Nut Brown Crown cone, which is a vanilla soft serve ice cream cone dipped in chocolate sauce that eventually hardens into a firm shell, but rolled in chopped peanuts before the chocolate hardens into a shell. The foot long hotdog(with chili and slaw) is also the stuff of legend and is arguably the best thing on the menu; however, if you don’t eat it fast the bun will turn flimsy and soggy to the point that it will disintegrate hand turn into into mush(from contact with the chili and slaw). If you don’t want burgers or hot dogs. there are various other menu items that are pretty good like the hot buffalo chicken wings, fried chicken baskets, fried fish baskets and gyro wraps. I am a fan and I eat at this location(as well as the one on Ponce) often. The location in the Lindbergh neighborhood(on Piedmont at Morosgo) is good also.

I ate at Zesto twice in a week(please don’t tell my doctor), which already tells you something. On my first visit, I had a footlong hotdog with chili and slaw with onion rings. On the second, I ate the Fatboy burger and tots, washed down with a chocolate malted. Again, please don’t tell my doctor. Both meals were to-go, so I can’t really speak to the cleanliness of the restaurant, as I didn’t stay very long. Everything about Zesto is fun to me. The décor, the upgraded fast food menu, and especially the selection of milk shakes and malteds all contribute to a really excellent throwback feel. The food is far better than any fast food drive thru, but I wouldn’t say it’s the best food I’ve ever had, either. Everything is tasty in that way you feel guilty about, if you know what I’m saying. I look forward to future(rare) visits for an occasional malted or to take advantage of their specials, but it probably won’t be a regular stop. It reminds me a lot of the DQ stops or my youth or maybe going to the Varsity on the way home from a long road trip.

One of the tastiest greasy spoons I’ve ever eaten at. When I mentioned wanting to visit Zesto to a UPS Store employee, they instantly referenced The Varsity. Well, OK… another time perhaps. This was my last meal before boarding my personal 737 back to Chicago. I loved Zesto – down & dirty grease burgers, fries, shakes, deep fried & battered okra, coleslaw and gizzards. GIZZARDS? Oh, man… I AM in the South. Luckily, I gave those a pass but sampled their famous hot dog and a few sides. A terrific menu with just enough Southern eats to make me miss the South.

I mean… It’s probably self-explanatory when you look at Zesto. They are all about some greasy burgers, fries and a few other favorites. Can’t speak too much to anything other than the ice cream and the general cleanliness of this location. The ice cream? Meh, definitely a letdown. I’m not always very gung ho for ice cream, but we decided to check it out since it’s in the neighborhood. Had a chocolate malt and my wife had a butterfinger something or other. My wife’s choice was pretty fair, but mine was so bland. I couldn’t even tell that there was malted milk in the shake… which is the best part. Not a huge deal as the chocolate flavor was decent. I’m glad it was a small size, too. The biggest downside to this location is the interior. It was rather dirty from the floor to the counters with garbage. The floors looked pretty mucked up as well… like they hadn’t been mopped in quite some time. The worst part for me was the men’s restroom. Why did I go in? I have no idea. It was like walking into a haunted house. So gross. Just… gross. Also, there are just so many asinine things written… no, CARVED into the mirror. It’s sad. I most likely won’t be rushing back to Zesto anytime soon.

The hot fudge shake is so good. However, it all depends on who makes it. Sometimes they go light on the syrup and it just tastes like vanilla softserve. Then, when they go overboard, it tastes like a delicious chocolatey hot fudge milk shake thats the best $ 3 shake you’ll get. The food here in general seems kind of sketchy, I’ve had the chili dog before and its not too bad for $ 2. I’ll be coming back to try the gyro one of these days.

I highly doubt you go to a place like Zesto for the reviews, so I’m probably writing this in vein, butttttttt Ok so lets see, let me compare this place to Dairy Queen really, cause, well, it’s similar in a lot of ways, except it’s a hometown choice. So it gets a star for being an Atlantaism. Secondly you don’t really go here because of the«food», you come here because of the dessert offerings, which are similiar to Dairy Queen but everything I tried was better, the soft serve ice cream, yum, thier«blizzard» is much much better than DQ and many more toppings in it. So in the future if I’d be in for a Dairy Queen, I’d end up at Zesto instead.
