Yoga Collective

I have been attending classes semi-​regularly at Yoga Collective since July. I can say whole-​heartedly that I think this is one of the BEST yoga studios in Atlanta. Their focus on alignment is so important, especially if you are new to practice or recovering from injuries. I had been practicing at other studios around the city and didn’t even realize how off some of my poses were. My practice is so much stronger and more relaxed now. The instructors are welcoming and patient, and if you are a seasoned practitioner, they bring highly trained eyes to take you to the next level (or crazy ridiculous arm-​balance). I love it here and my only complaint is that they don’t offer early morning classes. Courtney is awesome — check out her Dynamic Alignment class on Tuesday for an extra dose of sass… :)

This studio is a getaway in itself. Tucked in a nice warm corner, it is clean, full of friendly people and has different kinds of classes to offer.
If you are a beginner, try a ‘basics’ or a ‘therapeutic’ class. The interesting thing about therapeutic class is that the teacher will ask you about any injuries or pain troubling you at the very begining of the class. After seeking inputs from all students present. The teacher will modify the poses catering to needs of all students in the class and will share tips on how a student can progress keeping in mind his/​her limitation. This really worked for me since I was suffering from a minor knee injury.
‘Yoga hour’ is a capsule class for those who like the challenge of moving through numerous poses without resting and want a quick workout. Wouldn’t suggest this for beginners really.
‘Practice’ is a unique format where the teacher practices along with the students. This is a two hour class and works best for students like me who like to observe along with practicing.
The teachers here specially Gina, Hanna and Leslie are nothing less than angels. It is amazing how much personal attention they give to each student.
I’ve been practicing here for only a few months but find myself progressing much faster with help from the teachers.
Visit the studio, leave your doubts away and you will walk out relaxed. :)

My favorite studio in Atlanta. Being new to yoga, the Atlanta scene is rather intimidating. Hannah, specifically, at Yoga Collective has been nothing but inspiring and energetic to help me achieve my goals. Classes are small and have a group feeling about them.

The calm, unpretentious atmosphere and the attentive, kind teachers make this little yoga studio one of my favorites in Atlanta. It’s small, but that’s a good thing because it means that the classes are also small, giving the instructors time to focus on the needs of each individual student. For me, the instructors are the perfect mix of modeling and hands on instruction. They do the poses along with you, but also come around just enough to help modify your own body to ensure accurate and safe practice. I also appreciate that Yoga Collective offers a variety of classes at all levels, so whether you are a beginning student or a seasoned yogi, you’ll find a class that’s at your level. The warm and positive vibe of the instructors also seems to extend to the other students in the class, making this a very inviting and calming place to practice.
They are tucked right off of Cheshire Bridge, and there’s limited parking available in the small lot immediately in front of their building. Bring your own mat and water, but they have blocks, straps and blankets for student use. The room gets a little warm even when it’s not hot yoga, so dress lightly or in layers unless you really want a good sweat.

Amazing yoga studio that I feel so lucky to have found. I’ve been practicing yoga for 11 years and I consider this to be the best yoga studio I’ve ever visited. The instructors are beautiful souls devoted to each student and committed to teaching. The focus is on alignment and I have been amazed in the past year here at just how much i have learned that I’ve been doing wrong. With my newfound focus on alignment I’ve found that poses that previously challenged me now just naturally blossom. No matter what class no matter what instructor I always leave here feeling refreshed, bright and ready for anything.

Beautiful and simple little yoga studio. If you want to learn alignment this is the place to go, the teachers will get to know you and help you through your practice. Gina and Greg are probably the most knowledgable yoga instructors I have met so far, and I have jumped around (and still do once in a while) many atl studios. If you have an injury, they will help you heal. The style of the classes is mostly vinyasa, but a slower deeper type of vinyasa, that really moves with your breath, like it should.
If you want a deeper practice and you have some yoga experience, come to the collective practice at noon on saturday, it’s wonderful community, bringing together people that practice/​teach all around town. I haven’t seen that anywhere else.
Bottom line, give it a try, i don’t think anybody could walk out of the class and not want to come back.

This yoga studio is changing my life. The instructors are excellent, very knowledgeable and encouraging. They offer a lot of classes during the week and I try to hit as many as my schedule allows. Whatever the question or problem is, the answer is yoga. And for me, the answer is The Yoga Collective. Don’t wait. Go take a class and find out for yourself.

What a little jewel. Apparently the building was home to an architectural company who designed the space with a wall of windows 6′ above the floor so the light is just wonderful. The instructors are excellent with lots of detail and feedback to improve your practice. Have not worked with all the teachers yet but have thoroughly enjoyed the ones I have met so far.

This little yoga studio is newish on the scene and as such is somewhat of a secret. Some of the best yoga teachers in town come together to practice here and also teach classes. They are teachers of teachers but… that makes them really great for people that are beginning and want to have personal instruction on the right alignment and therapeutics.
I had a chronic come and go back ache, that I now know was my SI being out. And it hurt to sit in a chair (which I do for my job). After months of going to various healthcare professionals, Isvari did some manipulations of my legs and it went away. It came back a bit but as I have continued with her classes I do not have it at all and have no pain anywhere even though still have to sit in front of a computer all day.
So check them out.

This is currently the best kept secret for people who are serious about Yoga! The location near Virginia Highlands and Morningside is ideal for me.
Wonderful instructors create a clean environment to instruct Yoga in a fun and challenging way.
I found this place near Toco Hills through a neighborhood listing. Having only little experience with Yoga I was prepared to try out several Yoga places and to kiss a lot of frogs before i find a place that was a good fit. But here we are. I will absolutely go back, even though everybody around my was far more advanced.
The atmosphere is friendly, open, trusting, and absolutely non-​committal. It is about you and your own Yoga experience. My group was very small, only 4 people. Even though I still have ways to go to improve my Yoga skills I felt welcomed by the instructor and everybody else.
The Yoga Collective offers a special $ 20 for the first 3 classes!!! $ 10 for short class, $ 15 for 90 minutes. That is exceptional in itself. Classes are held for different experience levels and vary in length between 75 and 90 minutes. I can only recommend this place.
