History

Established in 2010.

In 2010 Willie Ziavino formed the C.O.T. Band along with Juan Bonini (Panamá) resulting in the fusion of trova, jazz, caribbean /​brazilian rhythms and musical influences from each band member, this world music style blends perfectly with the melting pot that is Atlanta.

The C.O.T. Band quickly became very well known in Atlanta’s latin music scenary performing weekly for the last 4 years in the best latin venues in the city.

The C.O.T. Band has been invited in 2014 to the Atlanta Dogwood Festival, Atlanta Jazz Festival, Chattanooga Riverbend Festival betweeen other Southwest music festivals.

They have also performed for Coca Cola, High Museum of Art, Georgia State, National Society of Hispanic MBAs, Hispanic National Bar Association among others. C.O.T. Band has also been invited to several Southwest music festivals.

Business Owner

Willie Ziavino, born in Guayaquil, Ecuador, began writing songs since he was 14 years old, based on personal experiences and stories ripped from the street.

In 1991 he moved to Havana, Cuba, this experience gave birth to his romance with Cuban rhythms and reinforced his love for trova.

In 1999 he was invited to participate in a songwriting nationwide competition organized by a radio station in Quito, Ecuador taking first place with his song «Confesiones».

In 2000 he recorded his first album «Willie Ziavino» with 12 songs of his own authorship and arrangements of Julio Bueno and Rolando Valladares, few months later he moved to Atlanta, Georgia.

Upon his arrival he started to work in his engineering career but never stopping to compose and play his guitar.

In 2011 released his album «Camino Empedrado».
