Uptown Pups offers fun, unique, & affordable dog and cat products. We have interactive, plush, and durable toys, natural treats and chews, natural food, bandanas, leather collars, harness, leashes, sports apparel, t-​shirts, custom paintings, bowls, shampoos, and much more.

Living in downtown Atlanta, brings with it wonderful perks such as weekends in the park, taking my dogs to outdoor restaurants, and going to weekend festivals. It has also brought to my attention the special needs city dogs and their owners have.

When I started doing some research, I came across some great products that I thought both my pups would enjoy, but I couldn’t find one place to buy them all. It was during this time that I decided to open an on-​line store to help people like me find fun, unique, and affordable products for both city and suburban dogs. The mainstay of my product line is the trendy reversible bandana which comes in an assortment of color choices.

My name is Michelle, owner of Uptown Pups. I have two dogs, Lexi and Zoe, and to say the least, they are picky and spoiled. I was having a hard time finding toys to keep their interests. Lexi, a Brittany Spaniel, is very active and gets bored with just plain old dog toys. Whereas Zoe, a Golden Retriever, is the exact opposite and will do everything in her power to destroy any toy that gets in her way.

I’m always open to suggestions about new products to carry. If there’s a product you’ve seen around that you would like to see in my store, let me know. Or, if you’re like me and you simply have a concept of what you need to suit your dog’s needs, I’ll do my best to find it for you. Who knows, many other people may be looking for the exact same item.

Stopped in today after my second trip to Oy! and had a chance to talk — at length — with one of the owners, Brad.
He truly ‘knows’ his stuff. He was able to answer any questions I posed about his various foods, among them Zignature, Fromme, Sojos. .. He also explained why Gizmo can’t handle pizzle sticks. He was the perfect combination of welcoming but not obnoxious, cool yet funny, knowledgeable but humble.
I’ll definitely be back to try the grooming services!

My 1.5 year old goldendoodle sometimes get upset in new situations. We just moved here and I tried to bring her here to be groomed. Finley got upset and barked at both the guy at the counter and the groomer. However I would expect a place that works with dogs all day to know how to handle a dog with this type of anxiety. They didn’t even try to give her treats and earn her trust. They handed me treats for her but she didn’t need treats from me– she needed to learn to trust them. When she barked at the groomer the groomer said «yeah I’m not doing that» and just walked away. My dog is actually really sweet and would have warmed up if they had even tried. This place is horrible and I’m telling everyone I know to avoid it. I’d give it zero stars if that’s was an option.

My dog did not lunge or bite anyone. She barked. I understand she has a loud bark and it was clearly fearful. You were not there and I’m sure your employee is trying to justify her over reaction. Finley has now been groomed at another salon and did just fine. They were very understanding of her anxiety. I will never be in your store again for any reason especially after your accusatory response.

The ladies here are wonderful! I am used to groomers back home where I can drop my dog off and I can pick him up after work but here they require you to pick up right when they are finished. They have been very understanding and let me bring Teddy in around 5:15(they close at 6) to get him I. Really quick before they close. They care a lot about the animals they tend to!

I took my dog here for the first time. The staff was not very welcoming. The groomers are not consistent and inexperienced. I would not go back. Smile more and try to pretend you want my business.

Great store, great owners. I have cats, just moved here and couldn’t find my holistic cat food anywhere here. The owners of Uptown Pups orders my cat food for me whenever I need it. They also showed me some great products for my cat that needs special cat food and offered to order that for me as well. They’re also very informed with their industry, pet foods, diet, etc…

Moving to Vinings from out of state we decided to try this place. Glad we did, they don’t keep your dog all day like others do. Usually an hour which is nice. Haircuts are always good quality, pricing is consistent with the quality of the service.

Such a cute store. I live across the street and can’t believe I’ve never been in. My dog won’t let me clip her nails anymore so they used the grinder on them. My girl was super nervous but the girl that did it was so sweet to her. On top of that it was only ten bucks and took maybe 3 minutes. Love it. Will definitely be back!

I moved to the Smyrna area and I have been in search for a new groomer. I went to Uptown Pups at the suggestion of Happy Paws Dog Camp. Great location but with a inexperience groomer. When I dropped him off, I discussed with Amanda how I wanted my dog groomed and how much hair she was going to cut off. We agreed that she cut half of his hair on his body and to do a teddy bear shaped cut around his face.
When I returned an hour later to pick him up all of his hair was CHOPPED OFF! not a teddy bear cut just a horrible hair cut! Amanda tried to explain why she cut all his hair around his face and her explanation didn’t make sense! Especially when we had a conversation beforehand as she was examining his hair. I was very disappointed. This is the worst haircut my dog has ever had.
And Amanda had the nerve to get smart and sarcastic with me… NOT customer focused at all…

Took my dog on the suggestion of a neighbor. As always, you can tell a good cut when it begins to grow in. Initially it looked ok, but now that it’s growing in, it’s uneven length all over illustrates the lack of experience, amateur at best.
In addition, the $ 65 price, which seemed to be picked out of thin air was not competitive or of FMV. The groomer was left at closing and must have included her own tip. A later call revealed a lower price for my breed. I won’t return.

Took the fur kid this weekend for a much needed shave and bath. I asked them to simply shave him down, as opposed to a complicated grooming cut. I also asked for them to leave a small poof style on top of his head to give him some sort of attractive and redeeming quality.
Upon returning they had shaved him completely, top of head included. My poor dog looks like a fat scrotum. I will say they were nice people and they shaved him well, but I certainly don’t think that was worth $ 70. Will continue to search. Yikes!

This business is awesome! Everyone here is super sweet and extremely helpful. It is a smaller store so it can get a little hectic if there are a lot of people visiting, but they are still great. They have a large selection of freeze dried raw food, which is all we feed our pup. They have a lot of other supplies, but we really came for the food. We couldn’t seem to find raw food anywhere else, and when we finally did find some our dog hated it. Another awesome benefit was that they have samples of food to see if it will work.
As far as grooming, we took our pup in for a bath and some grooming around her face. More often than not people end up clipping somewhere on our dogs face and making her either have razor burn or a cut. Uptown pups did not, and it is the first time after trying maybe 20+ breeders throughout my dogs 9yr life. Bonus perk for me is that there is a nail salon right next door so I can get groomed while my pup does!
They are great people with a great business!

Went in to support the local shop so I didn’t mind the inflated price. Until the husband and wife (mainly the latter) started bickering about an item I asked about that they didn’t have in stock. Yikes. I’m all for supporting local businesses but it shouldn’t be without merit. Respect your job and your customers. It’s the basic law of conducting business.

This is a GREAT pet groomer and pet store. I love the way they fixed up my dog’s shaggy coat and made him look so good! Brewser (the dog) was very appreciative.
They have very cute accessory items in the store too. It made me wish I had a girl dog! (I needed to put a bow in his hair after he was groomed and bathed.) Oh well, I opted for the spiked collar instead.

What a cute little doggy boutique!
I’m one of those people who actually goes clothes shopping and they have some very cute doggy outfits! Of course, they have all the necessities, such as leashes (in every shape, color, and size), food, etc.
My favorite part about the store is all the cute pet gifts. Not so much gifts for a pet, but rather a great place to buy gifts for people who love their pets! I picked up several Christmas gifts here.
The staff is super nice! When I was shopping there, some regulars came in and the owners immediately started a conversation with them. It’s great that they take their time to know their customers!
This location has seen several little stores over the years, so I’m hoping this one sticks!

3 months later, my dad picked up a stray, who is now mine. I wanted the same harness for her, so I emailed the owners. They remembered me, remembered what I bought, and even put a few sizes aside to hold for me. I really love this place. I don’t get my dogs groomed, but the set up looks really nice as well.

The main reason I came here was because I read that they don’t crate your dog. And they don’t. Hank was very happy when I came to pick him up, and they did a great job. The owner is the friendliest groomer I’ve met, and although I didn’t look around much because I was in a hurry, the store looked like it had a ton of great dog stuff.

I brought my Shih Tzu, Daisy, in for grooming for the first time at Uptown Pups with Jenna on Saturday. When I picked her up just over an hour later, my little Daisy looked adorable! Jenna knew exactly what to do and I could tell she loves what she does. My boyfriend and I agree it’s one of the best and cutest cuts she has ever had.
I love that they don’t crate your dog during the grooming process (I don’t know any other place that does this, but I don’t think I could go back to one that does), so your dog is ready in about an hour. Now taking your dog to the groomer is not a 4+ hour long ordeal.

Great little dog boutique in Smyrna. Originally located in Atlantic Station, Uptown pups moved to its current location in Vinnings. This location is alot better with alot more room and they’ve added grooming also. I went there to do a little X-​mas shopping for my four-​legged buddy since this is the only place closel that carries a certain brand of dog toy. The gentleman in the shop was very helpful and suggested a good toy for doggie. Great suggestion because its been a week and the toy is still intact. Great customer service, my dog was warming up to him and the doggie at the front desk to greet customers was a plus with the cuteness factor.
