Specialties

The Training and Counseling Center at St. Luke’s (TACC) Counseling Program provides quality, confidential, and affordable counseling to individuals, couples, and families. TACC a non-profit organization striving to provide healing through accessible therapeutic services.

TACC’s Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) program trains seminary students, clergy, and lay persons for ministry in our six Community Placement sites.

History

Established in 1976.

We are a growing non-profit Community Counseling and Training Center with a rich history of 39 years. Our official two-fold mission has remained the same over the years:

We offer affordable counseling services that promote the psychological and spiritual well-being of individuals in the community.

and

We provide Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) that prepares the next generation of clergy and lay leaders in their future ministries to address social justice issues.

Since 1994, the Gay House has been home to TACC by providing a warm and safe space for its clients and students. After 15 years of operating in the basement of St. Luke’s Episcopal Church the Vestry permitted TACC to establish the Gay House as its main office in 1991. Renovation designs were managed by Randy Young of Young Goldstein Architects and Rev. Palmer and his staff moved into the Gay House in March 1994. This strategic move not only signified TACC’s emerging independence but greatly increased its capacity.
