Who this hot girl in all the soju ads? Diffidently worth a dinner– if classic no frills Korean food is your thang. Décor could be a massage parlor for all I really care. (Sorry Fifth Group if that offends you) Service– Very friendly, Usually Fast, and they will give you some free to go kimchi if you smile real nice at them. This might be one of the few Korean restos without the magic server button. Food– Banchan is classic, fresh, and msg free – which is why some of the more health aware ex-pats put this one so high on their list .I love their«water» kimchi = Fermented Daikon Radish with a touch of sugar, salt, and garlic. Rather Gargantuan Menu-This is what I recommend. Man Du Guk– Beef –Tofu Stuffed Dumpling Soup– Awesome– Even though they serve it in a milky white beef broth – Koreans acheive this the opposite way of what you learn in French Culinary School– They boil beef bones for far to many hours(French Chefs would shart themselves) The rest of the menu is up to you for now – get the f””n beef dumplings and call it a day. 4.23 stars Chef Invisible – Out

Mmm mmm good. The bulgogi at this place really is top drawer. I’d come back again and again and just have that, no problem. The daeji bulgogi was also awesome, if a little spicy for my tastes. I still had no problem eating my fair share, of course. Seafood pancake was delish: lots of octopus and other goodies up in there. I also sampled a Korean beer called«Hite:» I wish someone had told me it was an imported version of Bud Light. Yeesh. Like most spots on Buford Hwy, the décor of this place isn’t much. It’s totally wallpapered in advertisements with lots of women making faces from asianposes .com, but our server was very friendly even as our expected dinner group dwindled from 7 to 5 to 3 and we changed tables accordingly.

Week day dinner with a buddy. Ordered: — Hae Mul Pa Jun(seafood pancake) — good — Bibim naengmyun(buckwheat noodles) — it was covered in red sauce and I thought it was going to be soooo spicy, but it was pretty flavorful and a huuuuuuge portion — Daeng jang jjigae(soy bean paste soup) Good service. The food was NOT laden with MSG. Liked it.

I have been to this restaurant several times. I have had the tofu soup, the lamb soup and have tried my boyfriend’s bibimbop. Every experience was outstanding. I highly highly highly recommend lamb soup. It is so tasty and I can’t find this soup ANYwhere else in Atlanta. So, I am going to say — this is the best. If you know of a better place with lamb soup, please email me =)

We came here for the first time last night– I almost freaked out when we got menus completely in Korean. The last time I felt like this was when I was at Jun Ju Jip(before it closed and became Jun Ju). Thankfully, we asked and received menus with English. Sometimes I forget that I can look Korean. Anyway, we each ordered a tofu soup(I got the dumpling tofu soup, wife got the seafood tofu soup), and the BBQ pork(dwae ji gogi). A few knocks on the food: 1) If you’ve seen some of my other reviews of tofu places, you’ll know that jalapenos in tofu soups tick me off. Found some in the soup here. Boo. The dumplings were more like won-tons(squarish, and thin skinned), but this I didn’t mind. 2)The soup itself… honestly after my first spoonful, I surmised that it was probably a powdered mix. Of course I can’t say for sure, but it tasted like something out of a pack of ramen. MSG. Just salty. The seafood soup had 1 shrimp… and a few pieces of squid. Nothing else. Boo. Score for tofu soups: 2.5 3)The kimchi(cabbage) however, was not fermented enough, and it seemed that it was supersaturated in chili sauce– perhaps to mask the lack of fermentation. :-p And now the props: 1) At least the tofu in the soups were fresh. That’s why I gave the tofu soup an extra half-point. 2) The BBQ pork, as per the previous 2 reviews, was indeed done well. A bit greasy for me(literally swamped with oil), but the taste was good. Score: 3.5 3) The panchan had the usual suspects, but had a few pleasant surprises: the chives soaked in chili sauce was pretty good, though simple. The anchovies were good too. Score: 3 4) The service was definitely courteous, generous, and attentive. This place definitely beats other places like Tofu 88, but without kalbi available and tofu soup that tastes a bit like MSG soup, I can’t give this place a 4. Overall Score: 3 I wish them the best…

The restaurant name is totally confusing if you know how to read Korean & English b/c the English translation of the Korean name is «Our House» but the English name is «Today Restaurant». If you can read Korean, check out the picture of the storefront and see for yourself … «Today Restaurant»(or «Our House») is located between Hae Woon Dae(popular Korean BBQ restaurant) & Don Quixote(popular for cheap Korean food). I’d been to HWD&DQ many times but last night, tried Today for the first time. It’s pretty dated inside with ads plastering the walls, and a large screen TV playing Korean shows. The menu is pretty extensive with reasonable prices compared to other Korean restaurants. Service here is pretty good & friendly, which is atypical of most Korean restaurants. My friend & I shared the Duk Mandu Guk(rice cake & dumpling soup) for $ 7.95 which was pretty good, and the Daeji Bulgogi(spicy BBQ pork) for $ 12.95 which was probably one of the best I’ve had. I was surprised how much meat we got — more generous than other restaurants. The banchan(side dishes) were nothing special … my favorite was probably their pickle kimchi and worst was their radish kimchi(like it was extremely fermented!). «Today» is open 10am-10pm, 7 days a week. I’ll definitely be back.

This is a very plain establishment on the inside. Very simple much like 88 Tofu House down the street. They do have a 40 item menu with things other than tofu soup. We received great attention from the staff and the service was top notch. The BBQ pork was excellent with lots of great flavor and thinly sliced. Other people at our table had a squid hot pot and BBQ Beef. We sampled food from each others plates and it was all great. The Pork BBQ won the most favorite from everyone at the table. This restaurant is a good find in a shopping center where it’s behind other businesses and the sign very uninteresting. If you’re up for something new you definitely need to go here.
