On April 15, 1912, Titanic, the world’s largest ship, sank after colliding with an iceberg, claiming more than 1,500 lives and shaking the world’s confidence in the infallibility of modern technology. Almost 100 years later, Titanic: The Artifact Exhibition, which showcases authentic artifacts retrieved from Titanic’s debris field, arrives in Atlanta.

Educational, emotional and appropriate for all ages, Titanic: The Artifact Exhibition takes visitors on a journey through the life of Titanic. Along the way visitors will learn countless stories of heroism and humanity that pay honor to the indomitable force of the human spirit in the face of tragedy.

History

Established in 2006.

RMS Titanic, Inc. is pleased to welcome you to our website, where you can explore the RMS Titanic and learn about the heroic efforts to recover Her artifacts. Since the discovery of Titanic in 1985, countless brave and committed men and women have faced enormous challenges to carve out a legacy for the Ship. Their participation has ranged from exploration, discovery, recovery, conservation, research, and exhibition to legal, financial, and emotional. Their efforts have made it possible for us to preserve the memory of the most famous ocean liner in history and to bring Her alive in Titanic: The Artifact Exhibition. This exhibition is currently traveling the world and we invite you to visit it when it comes to Atlanta.

took about an hour or so, but depending on how much you read and spend on each artifact

We learned so much that we didn’t know about Titanic! Very cool exhibit, loved touching the iceberg to feel how cold the water was (since salt water freezes at a cooler temperature, the water was colder than the ice). At the beginning, we received a boarding pass of an actual passenger. You find out if you survived by reading the memorial wall at the end. Informative and sad, but still enjoyed it.

Waste of $ 25, nothing I haven’t already seen on discovery channel! You can walk through in 10 minutes or stretch it out to an hour by reading facts everyone already knows about the Titanic!

I enjoyed this exhibit. It was cool seeing actual artifacts from the ship and going along the time line of events. At the beginning, they give you the name of a person who sailed on that fateful day and at the end, you find the name on the wall to see if you survived or not.
I enjoyed learning the back stories of some of the passengers and seeing replicas of the accommodations on board the ship. Very interesting stuff. Nice exhibit.

I was impressed. Very well made and designed exhibit/​museum of Titanic overall. The exhibit is in the same building as the Bodies and pricing is exactly the same as well although I believe they have a bundle package where you can do both for a discounted rate.
Going through the Titanic exhibit was a lot like going back in time as it shows chronologically the history and timeline of the Titanic. I was able to learn some new facts about the voyage which I found to be interesting. The layout of the walkthrough is much much like a book, so if you are not keen to reading, you may find the exhibit somewhat short. Read everything and feel free to explore, touch, and ask the friendly staff questions and the entire tour can last you over an hour. Walk quickly, glance at pictures, artifacts, and displays and you can finish the gallery in 5 minutes. Kind of a waste to do it the latter way but letting you know its possible. Loved it overall for the quality & interesting facts and artifacts.
