These folks still have a very decent selection of cigars from which to choose. I find this more appealing than the somewhat limited wines that they have.(If you want wine, go to a great liquor store like Toco Giant Package or Mac’s.)

The Tinder Box was started as a cigar shop, but as cigars are falling out of vogue, they’ve taken to selling wine. Yay! I mean, let’s face it, after spending some shopping time at Lenox, drinking definitely appeals. Especially with the Christmas season approaching. The wine areas are immaculately organized. Red wines along one wall, white wines along the other wall, next to the sparking and dessert wines. Every wine is rated along the fruity-dry scale and light to full-bodied. So it’s a great way to zero in on what you like or gently push the envelope and explore. And their goal of 100 wines under $ 25 makes it inexpensive to explore. The employees are great at answering questions, never patronizing, and very helpful. The only downside is that there might be someone in there puffing a stinky cigar. Eww!
