Prompt service, food was delicious and didn’t cost too much. Adding Tin Café to my favorites when in Atlanta

I generally reserve low ratings for the very worst experiences. In this case, however, my low rating is because of the food. The staff was efficient and friendly, without which it would have been one star. The food completely missed on my expectations for flavorful Asian fusion. I had this coconut based soup which was the blandest variation on that theme I’ve ever tasted, with white mushrooms thrown in as an afterthought, it seemed. I also had pad Thai noodles. Again, without any of the expected seasoning; flavorless and undercooked. To round out my meal I had a Thai fresh spring roll. Normally this would have shrimp and/or pork, bean sprouts, rice noodles, fish sauce, lettuce and/or cabbage, wrapped in a rice wrapper with peanut sauce dip. The one they gave me had only lettuce and carrots inside the rice wrapper, and a bland variant of the peanut sauce. Dry and disappointing.

I read some reviews about the service here and I’d say that they obviously can’t see value when it’s there. I’m very absent minded and awkward when it comes to phone orders so I totally screwed up what I wanted. As I was paying with the food already made I asked if I could switch to what I wanted expecting to receive the«no it’s too late deal with it speech»(rightfully so). Shout out to Chris for being so sweet and fixing it with a smile on his face. I live in LA now but always come to this spot when I’m in town, and will continue to do so. Thanks guys!

One of the best Asian restaurants I’ve had since being in Georgia. The food is great. The prices are worth it for the amount of food they give you. They have great customer service and a great ambiance as well. This is one of my favorite restaurants to go to by far!

The Pad Thai was so bad I actually took it back to the counter and asked for my money back. My standards were not high at all because I knew this was considered fast food. When I returned it one of the staff member said«yeah I never like the Pad Thai» if you go here have very low expectations and just don’t order the Pad Thai!

Absolutely outstanding. The service was wonderful and they were very helpful in choosing a dish. I had the Pad Thai. I told them k wanted it spicy. They asked me to tell them how spicy on a scale of 1 – 10. I chose 8 and they delivered. It was amazing. I can’t wait to go back.

Watery bland pretend Asian food. It’s worth the 5 minute drive to Buford highway to get real Asian food.

Yuck. Far from good Asian food. Glass noodles with chicken dish was heavy — used too much oil and chicken was dry and had no flavor. Wait time is pretty fast if you’re in a rush. Otherwise look elsewhere for decent Asian food.

Never had a bad experience! Always get the mango chicken bowl. Cool, laid back atmosphere, good price.

This place is really good. Affordable, fresh Vietnamese food at a decent price. Just had the Pad Woon Sen Street Noodles and Fresh Thai Basil Roll so far but I was very satisfied. They give you Huge portions as well. I am planning on stopping by again next time I’m in the area to try something else from the menu. Wish they would add some Bahn Mi sandwiches to the menu. I think they could pull it off.

This place used to be good, then they changed their menu and their standards. Apparently chefs who don’t wash their hands after they use the bathroom, and pass viral gastroenteritis on to customers is par for the course. Thanks for my 3 days of hell.

The food was good for fast food but the service was poor. The food was good on the whole. I had a spicy chicken dish and my sister had the pad thai. Both were great. I would recommend the Thai basil rolls. The coconut soup was cold. It took a long time to be served. The staff was overwhelmed and not doing much to get caught up. The tray under the ice machine was overflowing with ice and caused a woman to slip. The staff helped her up but did nothing to address the ice that caused the issue.

Clean eating! This is one of the few places in Atlanta that didn’t give me a tummy ache later. Disclaimer: That is not to say that food in Atlanta is a dud. Total opposite! I am not accustomed to eating so much delicious rich food in such a short span of time. When I am in Atlanta, I am reaching for the types of meals I generally cannot find back in Tucson. Now, back to Tin Drum. This place has a fast food feel. It doesn’t have a distinctive ambiance. Think Chipotle for Mexican food. But it doesn’t matter either. Either you are ordering for a quick bit to eat in, or you are taking it to go. I’ve had the benefit of trying the sesame chicken, pad Thai, mango chicken and coconut soup. I found that the sesame chicken was quite tasty! I loved the broccoli and, actually, had began craving more of the vegetable mid way through the meal. Fine job there. The mango chicken was OK. You couldn’t pick up on the mango flavor, sadly. So it tasted more on the scale toward orange chicken. The coconut soup had an amazing, full flavor. Very round and luscious. But it was so thin. I chose to drink it as through it were water. There were nice bits of mushroom and scallions included. The pad Thai…*sigh* I would not recommend this dish. It had, like, no flavor. Like, none at all! That was quite surprising. But I would give them another go. The food was fairly light compared to other Americanized Chinese eats. And there were plenty of leftovers.

This place is awesome possum. It’s an Asian fusion place serving a variety of popular Asian dishes turned Panda Express style. Food made fresh, ample serving size, clean ambiance, and the wait is not long. I really like their Thai tea, which is less creamier than those served in Thai/Vietnamese restaurants. You order at the counter and wait with your number. Fun place to go for a quick flavorful meal while out shopping.

The team here is awesome so nice and care about the food they put out. The baked chicken and the fried chicken are improved. The new roasted chili soba is crave-able! Keep up with the improvements. Tin Drum is advancing quickly.

Mexicans have Taco Shops, Asians have Tin Drum Asiacafe. It’s quick express Asian food. A step above Panda Express. I got the Pad Thai Noodles-Creamy red curry coconut sauce, broccoli, bell peppers, tomatoes, sautéed chicken, steamed white rice. The chicken was not all cooked(ugh). The flavors where ok. I can probably make the same stuff at home from a can at H Mart. Panang Curry –Creamy red curry coconut sauce, broccoli, bell peppers, tomatoes, sautéed chicken, steamed white rice. It was a little spicy but I liked that. It wasn’t bad but not the best either. Meals here range from $ 8 – 15. The food came out quick and the staff was very accommodating(we came right before closing). Not a bad place if you need a quick lunch or meal to go. I wouldn’t come back unless it was under that cirteria.

2nd time here. The location is decent. Located in the Target shopping center across from Perimeter Mall. Spacious indoor seating as well as patio. The staff are very cold and unwelcoming. No smiles on anyones face. I had questions about the different type of noodles and the guy at the register advised me to look on the menu. Wth?!? Ok, cool — I can read but I wanted his expertise on the various noodles. The food is good. The crab n cheese rolls are good. They remind me of crab ragoons. The coconut soup wasn’t bad either. In my opinion, I think the food is beter the day afterwards.

I’ve ate at Tin Drum once before for lunch with a friend. As then the food is not top notch but is good and they seem to like to have some variety in their dishes so you can try new things. I had Mango Chicken. The ingredients were fresh and it was a large amount in a bowl over rice. I didn’t care for the fact that all the food was large in size and not cut small enough. It made it seem like more work to eat. For the price and for what you get you should give it a try if you haven’t already. I suspect YMMV on what you get also.

Okay, so I have gone back many times since my review and I must say it just kept getting better and better for me . I have been on a pad thai with tofu kick lately and this place definitely satisfies my craving every single time. Firstly, the price is reasonable. Secondly, their cold teas are my absolute favorite! I do a half and half of their unsweetened jasmine tea and pomegranate tea and it is most definitely my MOSTFAVORITE drink in the world. Pad thai with tofu and a splash if the sri racha was great! I used to come here just for the pad woon sen, but I definitely am now digging that pad thai. I also have had some of their chicken pot stickers, and I ordered it crispy, and crispy it came. Yum-o! As far as customer service, I LOVE it! Every single time, they have been very nice and thoughtful. For example, once, hubby and I decided to just split one entrée and briefly mentioned it to the cashier. It then came to our table in two smaller bowls. We didnt even request for it to be split, but they thoughtfully split it anyway. Also, when one of their co-workers overheard a conversation between hubby and i, and how he shouldve gotten chicken instead of tofu, they sent chicken to our table anyway without us asking for it. So for that, thanks to the employee Chris for being so thoughtful! The next time we came, the guys remembered us and thoughtfully asked if we would like to put our entrée in a split bowl like the last time… AGAIN without having to ask for it. I mean, that is GREAT customer service! All in all, I am a total fan. This is not really«fast food» but it is definitely one of my fave quick go-to around this area! Love the food, love the service, love the prices, and love their teas!
