The Wellness Sanctuary

I scheduled an appointment for a hot stone massage for my husband today for Fathers Day and he loved it. The atmosphere is amazing and Tiana is sweet and respectful. We loved the music and the vibe of the place. My husband and I will be returning back. Thanks Tiana.

I absolutely Love this place. GREAT atmosphere, Very Comfortable and extremely Clean. The masseuse at The Wellness Sanctuary really makes the customer feel like like the only thing that matters is who is in the chair, never really paid attention to the time, wanted me to feel like it was personal not business when it came to performing the deep tissue massage in which i received. I recommend anyone that is looking for a great affordable and professional experience to go to the Wellness Sanctuary. I cant wait to go back honestly.

Definitely a little unconventional (as in not your spa sydell or massage envy) – which I prefer. Tiana was awesome, totally made you feel comfortable and easy to talk to. The massage was amazing – she definitely knows what she’s doing. Was not sore the next day, rather felt sooo relaxed that evening and much more stress free the next day. Awesome deep tissue! Will be back! Have already recommended to a friend :)

Running a business is hard work and you can’t please everyone. Tiana has always shown me great customer service. It’s easy to get in touch with her via phone. I’ve had to reschedule several times and she’s never given me issues. I found out about Wellness Sanctuary through Groupon. It’s a very intimate, relaxed environment as soon as I walk in the door. I’ve had two prenatal massages and I always leave feeling refreshed! Counting down till my next one!

You said there is NO WAY you would ignore a clients knocks… Yet in the very next sentence, you said you ignored my knocks while you made a video and even phrased it as if I was in the wrong to knock while you recorded. It was 10 min into the appt time. That’s on you, not on me.
I did not write this when temporarily upset. I’m permanently upset.
I planned on coming back to you– your voicemails and texts seemed very sincere (and I’m sure they were), and you seemed apologetic. I planned on updating my review to note that and show that you care about re-​earning my business. But your response to my review is incomprehensible. You are literally flat out lying about «seeing if I was there 15min later” — this too, I can gladly provide proof of, on Unilocal.In fact I think I will. It’s one thing for you to not admit your fault, but then to claim I am lying, is another. Everything in my review is 100% true; though it may seem like my word against yours, I do have proof. I can show you when I got to your building, when I came up the stairs, when I knocked 5 times within 15 minutes, and when I left 20 minutes into my appt time. And how I stood in front of your closed door the entire time, with you inside. If you owned up, this would have to turned out differently. Being defensive and dishonest will dissolve your business pretty quickly

Like the previous reviewer, I’ve received terrible service. Bought a groupon for 2 massages. Took 3 weeks to actually be able to make an appt. Tiana randomly called me, a day after my 3^rd call/​voicemail, at 10:30 pm, to make an appt. Very unprofessional timing. I let it slide. When I showed up the first time, I was out at the door, where I need to be rung in, but Tiana didn’t answer the calls… Nor did she pick up when I called from my cell phone. 7 minutes after my appt time started, a stranger who works in the building let me in. I knocked on the Wellness Sanctuary door, and could hear her talking inside, but didn’t answer my 3 knocks over the span of 3 min. Just as I was about to give up, she opens the door and welcomes me in. I was pretty annoyed by now but thought, well, at least the massage will relieve the stress she caused. But it didn’t. Because first, she began by not apologizing or saying anything at all about not answering several calls, or the door, and taking me in 10 min after my actual appt (I totally wouldn’t mind the late part if she had a normal customer-​oriented way of communicating to clients meanwhile– maybe figure out a system where people don’t have to rely on you to let them in from the pouring rain, if you’ll be busy with other clients). Rather, she laughs and says «I’ve actually been working on a video,» with a tone as if she expected me to think that’s wonderful? While she ignores her clients calls and knocks? Wow. Still, I bit my tongue and decided to give her a chance.
The massage I would rate as a 2 on a scale of 5. While she dug deep in my back, which I asked for, she lightly rubbed the rest of my body, and for some reason decided to be a chiropractor and try to pop my neck– without even asking me! I’ve had my neck popped once in my life. Never ever again. Once I realized what she was trying to do after twisting and turning my neck, I told her not to pop my neck if that’s what she’s intending to do. She said «oh thanks for telling me! I was trying to pop your neck.» Well gee, thanks for asking! Silly me to not expect a massage therapist to try to realign my spine and neck.
During the last 10 min of the massage, the next client knocked on the door. She ignored it, and 1 min later when they knocked again, she stopped the massage to go let that client in. I get that you’re the only worker– but seriously, figure your stuff out because it is ridiculous to not answer calls and doors for clients who are showing up to their appt and not even sure if you’re in the office, and it’s also ridiculous to interrupt your current clients massage to go let another in… Especially when I hear that client say «I’ve been ringing from downstairs for 5 min, some other guy let me in» and Tiana responding defensively that she’s been with another client.
When you get off the massage table, you may slip and kill yourself. She rubbed oil all over my body, and then I stepped right onto the concrete floor and had to catch myself when I immediately slipped.
By the way, I’m writing this review as I am waiting for her to open the door, for my second appt. Same thing as before. It is not 15 min in to my appt time, I hear her loud non-​massage-​friendly music in there, and I’m leaving. It’s almost not worth the fight with group on to get my money back, but this experience was so incredibly Unsatisfying that im fine with suffering a little more to not give my service to someone who has NO CLUE how to run a business. Ms. Tiana is AMAZING!!! I have had several appointments with her and she is by far the best massage I have ever had! Very good location and very relaxing environment! She has a great personality and is also very professional! I have been lookin for a good massage therapist for the last 3 years and I am glad that I have found her! I will never go get another massage anywhere else!!!

I bought a Groupon for this place as a gift for my boyfriend. The first time he tried to get his massage, she canceled on him day-​of. He rescheduled for the following week. Unfortunately, when he showed up, she wasn’t there nor did she answer his calls. I’ve complained to Groupon and will hopefully get my money back, but it’s just unacceptable — especially for a service that people really look forward to. Neither of us will ever be attempting to go here again.
