The Container Store

In late 2012, The Container Store in Buckhead moved from its longtime spot near the corner of Peachtree and Piedmont to the old Borders space at Peachtree and Wieuca, across from Target and catty-​corner from Phipps Plaza. This location is bigger and better. It’s two stories and has more parking, which sometimes was hard to come by at the old location.
The Container Store is perfect for anyone moving or reorganizing their home or office. If you’re looking to maximize the amount of space in your room, closet, pantry, kitchen, bathroom, garage, or office, odds are you’ll find a product here that will help you achieve it. Unlike a store such as IKEA, the quality of most products at The Container Store are superb. The better quality comes at an increased price, but the prices aren’t unreasonable.
I purchased an elfa brand custom drawer set for my closet at home for under $ 150. I love it. elfa is a Swedish company owned by The Container Store. In the U.S., you can only find elfa products at The Container Store. My drawer set consists of 4 runner drawers with a white melamine top. It’s worked out perfectly for socks, underwear, shorts, and T-​shirts. Some simple assembly was required. Not only have the drawers been useful, but the white top has unexpectedly functioned as additional temporary storage space for me.
The quality of elfa materials is definitely one or two steps above what you’d typically find at a retailer like IKEA or Target. It’s solid, well built, and durable. It looks and feels great too. The individual drawers slide in and out of the frames effortlessly, almost as if they’re gliding on air. I did accidentally break one of the back-​stop pins shortly after installing the drawers (I pushed one of the drawers back in too hard), so that was disappointing. Other than that, I’ve been pleased.
The storage solutions offered are highly customizable. Case in point, for the elfa drawers, they have a planner which you can use to customize all aspects of the unit including color, height, width, materials, top, bottom, stops, and label holders. When in doubt, ask an employee. They are friendly and helpful.
Some Did You Knows?: The Container Store is consistently named one of the «100 Best Places to Work» by Fortune magazine. The Atlanta store was the first store to open outside of the company’s home state of Texas.

Brand new store. Looks are deceiving. Couldn’t find a soul to assist with ab in store search for a specific item that was In the catalog. The help needs training.

We spent $ 2000 on a custom closet and decided to install it ourselves. The installation was fairly easy. The store forgetting to include items we purchased and were essential to installation were the hard part. We had to go back to the store three times before we finally were provided everything for which we paid. Store associates didn’t even apologize. One even made it seem I was stupid for thinking I was missing a piece. Another piece they originally gave us appeared to be a broken one someone had already returned. The product is pretty good but the rest of the experience confirmed that we will never shop there again.

I mean. I guess. This was my first time here. I am the type of guy who thinks less of storage items or containers. I will stack papers in the corner and pile them up high. Eventually I will sort through them. like a year later.
Went here about 10 minutes before closing time. My face showed the, «So what, your still open, what you gonna do about it?» We were looking for 1 particular item though. A dish drainer. Currently I have been using one for the last 3 years from Target. It was cheap white plastic, kinda small, that cost about $ 10. This new one is 3 times the size, and comes equipped with several add on’s.
I never even thought about replacing my dish drainer. Especially one that costs $ 80.00. I would have never paid that before, but upgrading your kitchen can make you do that. This dish drainer is awfully nice though. It really is top of the line, which it should be. It has a built in butcher block, and a wine glass holder. There is even a spinning drain underneath that allows water to run back into the sink from the drying dishes.
There were several sales that I noticed while picking up the drainer. Mainly on office storage containers for documents, folders and such. It was an experience. I will have to come back and browse the entire store, remember, I only had 10 minutes. This location is next door to Pinkberry and CVS. It looks 2 story, but only the escalator is downstairs leading to the store upstairs.

i just had my first encounter with the container store regarding my closet and had to write a review. from my appointment with claudia to the installation with paul, it was complete professionalism and wonderful attitudes! claudia was extremely friendly and helpful in setting up and reconfiguring my closet on the computer the way i wanted and processing everything and setting up my installation. paul installed the closet and was very professional and friendly and on time! that store is run like a well oiled machine and i just wanted to let them know how much that kind of service is appreciated! wish everyone ran their busniess like that.

I love the Container Store. And, I cut my CS teeth at the Buckhead store in ATL. However, they’ve moved. We were there to buy Elfa during the annual sale. I expected to wait for a design associate. However, we waited not because there were others in front of us but because no design associates were in the department… WITH A SALE ON!!! When we were finally waited on the experience was great and we did a wonderful closet design. However, I’m not sure my partner would go through it again. Overall, it was not a good experience.

Yeah, I’m not afraid to admit that I probably get in touch with my feminine side when I go to the Container store. If I have a feminine side. This place has freakin’ everything.

I can hardly contain myself in this store… OK. That was funny, did anyone else write that?
I prefer a good old fashioned brick and mortar store instead of internet shopping. So whereas some people will wonder where to get something which leads them to AMAZON. Instead, I just get into my car and go to Container Store.
Living 1 mile away makes it easy and convenient, but even if I didn’t I think I would seek this place out.

Adding to the ease of shopping, a new, spacious store, lots of parking, and a convenient location no wonder I can hardly contain myself!

Most people probably don’t go to the Container Store to browse. But I could totally spend close to an hour in one just dreaming up all the options of what I could do to my house. And then I would need to find an attorney because my husband would want to leave me. When Container Store offers legal consulting services, they will truly have it all!
Only kidding. But seriously, it is one of my favorite places to shop as it feeds my inner nerd.

Where anxiety takes brick and mortar form…
I typically come in here for 1 thing and find myself in a container trance. Thoughts like «why haven’t I labeled every item I own?» «this gift wrapping separator might fit in my apartment» and «your spices cabinet sucks» begin to take over.
My creative genius gets extremely overwhelmed in this store. Luckily the staff members are organizational ninjas (and really kind). I’ve yet to contain most of my belongings but as my Grandfather always said «everything has a place and everything in its place»…so yeah.
This is the holy grail for anal people and I think their prices directly correlate with their anal needs. You can’t put a price on staying organized, right?

I love this store!!! Everything you can imagine that needs to be container you can fins it here. They have interesting tricks and organizing ideas displayed throughout the store. Their staff is always waiting to assist you in whatever you need help with they even have great ideas for you too!
My favorite secitons are Kitchen, Office and Travel!

This was my first visit to the Container Store post relocation. I must say, there are more parking space, but still in a high traffic area. Even though it’s two story, the bottom floor only has esclators and elevators. The layout appealing and a neat freak’s paradise (clearly). My favorite part of the container store is the bedroom/​closet organization. The displays leave me fawning. I like ordering online from Container Store and picking it up in person. You can opt to receive a text or email of when your purchase is ready. Call in when you arrive and they’ll bring the items to you. Curbside service is great for bulky purchases. I got great, friendly, timely service when I came, albeit, it was on a weekday. There’s also a kiosk right in front of you once you enter the store upstairs with clerks to assist you. There is also a computer to check for items located at the kiosk

I love the container store & this is 1 of 2 in GA. I like the one at perimeter better but this one is closer to me. Just about anything you need to organize & even some stuff you didn’t know you needed is here. Just be prepared to empty your wallets. With that aside this is a bright & open store where the CSR are as friendly & helpful as can be. The only downside would be the traffic in this area but if you know buckhead it’s too be expected.

Oh my gosh. First time here. My wife loved it. Containers for any room in the house. Clean store, friendly staff. Will definitely be back. Prices are reasonable and containers are sturdy with all different sizes.

I love this place, mainly because I crave organization. If I had unlimited funds, I would buy out half the store. No lie.

This was my first ever visit to a Container Store, and I am very impressed. The store layout is clean and well organized. The shelves are well stocked and appropriately labeled. I came on my lunch break and was in a hurry so I asked the woman at the front register where my item might be located. She immediately pointed me in the correct direction and had someone waiting for me by the time I go there. The whole experience was a pleasure!

If you are like me, and you love nothing more than to divi up all of your possessions into neat labeled boxes, cupboards, drawers, and shelves, than this place is for you. My goodness, my neurotic tendencies to organize start shaking in their bloomers, like a sort of Spidy-​sense, but for super neat people. Suddenly, anything is possible! I could use this little box here to organize my shoelaces, and looky here!.. I can separate my sports bras from my work bras. (yes, I have work bras). I can organize my q-​tips and cotton balls, alphabetize my spices, and hang shelves, shoe racks, and pot holders from every corner of my apartment.
That’s right ladies and Gents, Everything and anything has a place! There are boxes tiny enough to hold glass beads and big enough to hold your Aunt Sally! So come one, come all, down to your neighborhood container store and finally get your crap off the floor. Seriously though– I almost tripped.

The Container Store has moved down Peachtree to world’s most horrible shopping intersection. There has to be at least 5 wrecks here every day. It has expanded and cleaned up a bit from the old store at the Piedmont Peachtree intersection, but at the end of the day a Container Store is just a store full of containers no matter where it is located.
I’m trying to organize my life these days so obviously I assumed that I needed the Container Store to help me. I went in looking for a rack of sorts to hang on the back of a closet door to store wrapping materials in. I browsed through the isles of clever storage devices and wasn’t seeing anything so I enlisted the help of an employee. He proceeded to try to convince me I needed an $ 80 closet installation and nothing else could make sense.
Needless to say, I was not convinced that my wrapping paper and ribbons deserved an $ 80 home. I was disappointed that my new Container Store friend could not help me find a more creative containing solution. My wrapping paper explosion that occurred after the holidays is still sitting in a terrible pile in the corner of my room so that is probably why I’m feeling so hostile towards containing devices right now.
