Great place for bison burgers and milkshakes! The service was great, and the wait staff was very friendly. My wife and I have gone several times and love it.

Less than mediocre. Ordered a bison filet, asparagus and baked potato. All came our luke warm and the filet was cool and raw in the middle. I sent it back and 20 minutes later got a repeat of my entire order(appreciated) but it was still just blah. Doesn’t seem to be any real quality control here. I would avoid and I likely won’t return.

Had the«Big Sky Salad» with a bison burger. It was out of this world. I asked them to hold the cheese and croutons which was no problem for them. I was glad they offered olive oil and vinegar as a dressing option. The atmosphere was great and the service extremely friendly and fast. I would highly recommend this restaurant to «Paleo dieters» or anybody looking for a healthy meal.

The New Mexico Bison Burger was on the 2013 Atlanta Convention and Visitors Bureau Signature 100 so I’m finally getting around to checking it out! It’s my 52nd dish off the list so far. I had that with sweet potato fries. One of my new favorite burgers in Atlanta! The Pepper jack and roasted Anaheim peppers give it a nice little kick. Another plus? There’s a TON of parking. They share the lot with Don Julios but that much parking in Midtown/buckhead can sometimes be hard to come by.

Went for an early dinner and service was pretty slow. The Bison burger is very tasty, but the main entrée was just not very filling. I got the«Green and Hot» bison burger with sweet potato fries.

This place is disgusting. The meat tastes like game meat and they need to air the place out because it stinks like humid stale pickle juice. The service is gangster garbage also. Take a salad to go and thank me later.

Bison is the new beef and it’s time every burger spot gets hip to it. I took my mom here to try bison for the first time and it was a winner! Our server, Mr. Jeff, did excellent educating us on bison and Ted’s. We started with the smoked trout dip, served with tortilla chips and ciabatta bread. This dish reminded me of tuna fish salad, the ingredients were tossed a in a creamy white sauce. It was just ok, not my cup of tea so I wouldn’t order it again. My mom had the Delmonico steak with 50⁄50 onion rings and fries. I had the Avalon burger with fries. My burger was pretty dynamite, the bison was very light and tender. My mom enjoyed her steak as well. Oh! And the paper straws were pretty cool too, kudos for the green thumb. If you decide to check this place out, request Mr. Jeff as your server, he really is excellent and very knowledgeable.

So the word around town was this was the place to eat! The bison chili nachos were delicious. Hubby had the bison rib eye which was cooked perfectly. I had the crab cakes. Although they were nothing but crabmeat(no fillers) they were kind of bland. Same goes for the mashed potatoes! Server was nice but didn’t check on us very often. For the price however I didn’t see what al of the hype was about… It would have been better spent at Ruth Chris’s!

I stopped in here twice for lunch the last few weeks. Did my food order as take out, as I ran across the street from work to grab a quick bite. Even though I wasn’t dining there, the bartenders were super friendly both times & generous with a bowl of pickles :) I had the chicken Caesar(at a steak house…) the first visit & realized the insanity of my ways by the visit the following week & got a bison burger the next visit. Both items were delicious though & my 2 coworkers liked their orders both times too! No errors in the orders, everyone happy, pretty rare for a work lunch! Will definitely be a place we frequent! Oh, and the red sangria is delicious too!

Had the bison meatloaf and tried a taste of my hubby’s spring chicken. Everything was fresh, tasty and all around excellent. Even better than the food is the service. Our waiter Jeff did an outstanding job.

Where is the 6 star rating? This place deserves at least that many! First of all, let’s talk about the front of the house staff. I was in the EPICALLYHORRID traffic that Atlanta is infamous for(40 minutes to go less than 5 miles) and called to let them know I was running late for my 7p reservation. Elijah was exceptionally kind, understanding and said they’d be ready for us when we arrived. True to his word, he had a table when we arrived past our reservation time. Beggars shouldn’t be choosers, but I asked Elijah if a booth was at all possible and he graciously provided one to us. Then we had the delight, DELIGHT, of Mr. Jeff as our server! He knew the menu perfectly! I had eaten at a Connecticut location a few months prior and when my dining companion asked about the two sides my husband and I had tried, he gave a spot on description to her of each. We let Mr. Jeff know we wanted to sit and truly enjoy our evening and were in no rush and he said that was not an issue at all. We enjoyed the phenomenal house pickles and drinks, then ordered appetizers and a bit later dinner. Sadly, the entrée my friend had ordered was sold out and the manager came to express his regret and offered a litany of other choices she might like. We decided to do a split with her ordering the Bison Filet and my ordering the Bison Delmonico. We then shared 50⁄50 when it arrived at the table. The food… oh the food! I must admit, my husband and I had such an amazing experience in CT that I feared this location wouldn’t live up to my recollection. Wrong – it surpassed every expectation and desire for a lovely evening out. Each item came out perfectly done, exactly as requested and was timed perfectly. My friend and I each remarked that it was an amazing meal and that we can’t wait to have such an evening again in the future. I wish, wish, WISH that Ted’s would come to the Queen City – Charlotte needs a place like Ted’s Montana Grill. EVERY city does!

Standard Americana fare in this old world steakhouse decorated joint in Buckhead. The service although friendly is hurried and disorganized. We were asked if we wanted anything else right after the appetizers came to the table as clearly, everyone was rushing to get out at 11pm closing time; Never going there again. The bison chili Was Good as were their signature ½ pickle ½ cucumber nibbler. The meals were«so-so». Salt and pepper trout came very late as the server stated that«it’s Still defrosting». Mmm yeah uhuh very fresh lol #neveragain

The tagline of Ted’s is «Authentic American Dining» for good reason. No, for great reason, as this is simply one of the best restaurants in all of America. I could go on about the décor, you know, the nice private style booths and old barkeep vibe. I could go on about the taste of the pickled cucumbers, biscuit rolls, mango ice tea, bison meatloaf, bison burgers, bison filets and one time even had the cranberry chicken(pretty good btw). Instead, I would like to focus this review on a person. His name is Mr. Jeff. Mr. Jeff is the waiter all other waiters wish they could be if they weren’t so focused on how much being a waiter can suck sometimes. Mr. Jeff is different and has balls as big as the bison statue outside. He is the reason I frequent this particular location so much. He’s like a mix between Bill Cosby(pre rape allegations) and the butler Fonzworth Bentley who’s duty is to gleefully make you feel like your white ass could ever been as cool as him. Upon greetings now, Mr. Jeff calls me family and we do the typical afro street greeting of slapping hands, bumping elbows, then into the half hug embrace thing. It’s better than daps, for real. The biscuits and pickled cucumbers are on the table lickety splits as Mr. Jeff takes time to exchange the pleasantries of his noble life. He’s just so «slick» and«rosey», words frequently uttered by my Mr. Jeff that I have since added to my vernacular as I stride towards a more positive life. Before you know it, the food is on the table and it’s time to «instagram, instragram!» Mr. Jeff is quick to take pictures, making it a true 21st century experience. Beyond serving the restaurant Mr. Jeff also serves in the community. He is known for producing some of the best young rap talent around metro Atlanta. He even slings inspiring rhymes himself. I often find myself whistling his tune of wanting bands and a fancy car. He also served as my adviser as I considered moving in with my current girlfriend. I made the move upon the advice that I ain’t just playing house and things are going well so far. Do yourself a favor and demand Mr. Jeff be your waiter. He will hustle his way into your heart and your food will taste better for it.

Overall the whole experience was great! We came here for my boyfriends birthday and started off at the bar. Bartender was very attentive and made us two double Hendricks(only $ 3 more for a double) and boy did they mean double! High five to him! Very nice and friendly, put us in a happy mood !! I think he really set the bar for our experience and without the interaction it wouldn’t have been the same. The check showed they are supporting No Child Hungry and I donated $ 5 with my check. To my surprise I was given a $ 5 giftcard to Ted’s?!! Wow thanks guys! We moved to a table to wait for his mom and ordered onion rings(served with horseradish ranch) and guacamole with chips. Our waitress said it «is like a dollar» …after seeing the bill, not soo much! But hey it’s not on the menu and I still requested it so no biggie. We order the bison meatloaf, the skinny bison(no bun, avocado and kale salad) and I ordered raw onion on the side… do don’t relieve till I asked but no big deal, again. We also had the No. 11 burger –yum and the short rib I think. Everything was tasty. His mom did however have to ask for water three times… I’m the person that doesn’t drink a bunch of water during a meal so I didn’t think twice but a typical place will usually serve water to everyone at the table whether they ask or not. We all enjoyed our meals and I loved the salted cucumbers they serve to start, and all of the food was pretty yummy. We enjoyed the décor and the general vibe of keeping it ‘real’ –the paper straws were my fav! Honestly our waitress was Super sweet and seemed genial, but she forgot more than a few simple requests – granted after being reminded a bit she was right on top of it – but considering the quality of food(high) and price of the bill we sort of expected to have impeccable service. Maybe she was new, and we had no complaints! Were easy going, but considering I’m in the industry and have been for over 8 years… I do subtract a star for the forgetfulness… I totally understand how easy it is to forget minor detail, but only reviews and comments with constructive criticism will fix it… so I say I enjoyed the experience and food but service needs a minor tweaking and a bit more attention!

I’ve never been to Ted’s before recently and it was really good! The menu selection is so diverse and interesting, yet the food is so soulful and down right country cookin. Love it! Also love the drinks! Damn are they strong! But so good! I love a good Mojito and they got it down pact! Yeehaw I was feeling just one drink it was that strong! Place is great for groups as well as good for families and date night. Ted’s is great for all walks of life. Really awesome!

It’s rare that I give out 5 stars to chain restaurants but when I came here for lunch recently, this place was tops. It was calm for a one o’clock lunch, and this restaurant wasn’t actually our first choice. We didn’t know that where we were planning on going was closed for lunch on the weekends so we decided to try our luck here instead. Talk about fate! Our server Mr. Jeff was AMAZING. He was funny, personable, and always made sure we were well taken care of. He took us through their business model of fresh(never frozen) food. They get deliveries every day on produce and grind their beef/bison three times a day so it is always at its peak when it hits the table. I had only been to Ted’s once before at another location so he was able to walk us through the menu and make recommendations on what we were looking for and some of the favorites of the house. We decided to start with the house chips and dip which was out of this world! The ranch dip is house made and really creamy without overwhelming you with spice. Perfect for a summer afternoon. For entrees we chose George’s Cadillac — a barbecue, bacon covered, mouthwatering burger and the Snowcrest sandwich — a crispy fried chicken sandwich with a tangy mustard sauce and dill pickles. Both came out piping hot and were absolutely delicious. The Snowcrest was served on a ciabatta bun which really made all the difference. Soft and chewy with crisp and crackly — a winning combo. The burger was dressed well and you couldn’t help but get a little messy with it. That’s the best part though right? Mr. Jeff made sure our glasses were always topped off and our bellies were always full. I will definitely make a point to go back, and this time as the first choice.

Convenient for lunch. I usually get the bison nachos appetizers with pepper jack cheese, bison chili, and fresh toppings which is pretty filling for a meal. For a healthier option, I’ve tried the Balsamic Bleu Steak salad with grilled Certified Angus® beef sirloin, mixed greens, cucumber, crumbled Bleu cheese, smoky bacon, sliced vine-ripened tomatoes and a sweet balsamic glaze, topped with fried onion straws. Although their claim to fame is apparently the bison, I have gotten the very tender and flavorful cranberry roasted chicken several times. It is a roasted half chicken, glazed with cranberries, spices and herbs, infused with Sam Adams beer, garlic and rosemary with garlic mashed potatoes and parmesan roasted broccoli. This is quality food with affordable prices. You get what you pay for! I give this place a 3.5.

Hmmm I ordered a cup of gumbo soup it was a bit salty nothing special about it. Then I ordered a beet chicken goat cheese salad. Word to the wise exclude the meat because your meat will turn purple and make you not want to eat it. AND the strips of meat seriously looked liked left overs off of someones plate the chicken tasted old just like left overs. I don’t know the whole time I was there I kinda felt like I was in the movie ‘The Goonies’ because they waiters reminded me of that. It was surreal, maybe my water was spiked :/. I don’t get the hype. Will give it another try.

So I’ve gotten increasingly familiar with this Ted’s, the folks there, and the food. In the spirit of trying new things, I have to report back on something adventurous(for me) that I had yesterday and simply loved. The bison chili nachos. Y’all! Delicious. I was skeptical(I love bison meat but do NOT love chili), and I’m not a big fan of pepper jack cheese. Drew convinced me to taste the chili before nixing the order, and it is really tasty and just a tiny bit spicy, to me. A big(really big– I know I rarely finish anything but this is a dish 2 – 4 people should share and I have the leftovers to prove it… wondering if I can chef it up with some eggs for brunch today!) pile of tortilla chips topped with bison chili, cheese sauce, green onion, normally jalapenos but I asked for them to be left off, tomato and sour cream and guac on the side(note– extra $ 1 charge for this), topped with some shredded pepper jack. So, so good. Better than the plain old cheese dip I was contemplating down the street, which is what I mentioned to Drew who craftily suggested I try this. I guess I am prone to taking suggestive sales tactics from people I like. Oh, and since the oatmeal raisin cookies«didn’t come out looking right,» but still tasted good, I got one of those, too — whatever they looked like, it was yummy. Final note– it was also suggested to me the other day by several people that I try one of their margaritas. Definitely one of the better ones I’ve had around town– and get it with salt if you like it that way because what ever kind they use, theirs has just the right(a lot but not too much to distract from the drink). If you like to pick it off, at least some of it, and try just the salt first(weird habit maybe but we all have our things, right?), this is the drink you want. Becoming a bigger and bigger Ted’s fan. ..
