wow i wish i had know how dysfunctional this bank is. Very difficult to get customer service.
Mistake on first statement for Equity Line.
I’m scared to do direct deposit now because you want to trust your banks ability to conduct day to day business.

This bank continues to confound me with just how awful they are. The ONLY reason I deal with them is that I have to manage my elderly parent’s accounts, and they are loyal to this bank from the days when it was Citizen’s blah blah blah or whatever. If you — like most people — try to avoid going to a branch at all costs (an especially wise strategy with this bank) — and are used to really cool internet banking with banks in the know… like Wells Fargo and to a lesser degree, Bank of America, then you, like I will find SunTrust’s very very very lame online banking system so infuriating and limited that you will find yourself cursing out loud every time you try to log in. Bottom line… if you don’t have parent’s loyal to a by-​gone past… trust me… this is NOT the bank for you!

Okay. I used to work in Peachtree Center and could walk about 30 steps to SunTrust plaza. So it was super convenient.
Now, I drive by a SunTrust branch on West Peachtree every day and I dread having to go there. On any given day there are no more than 2 tellers working – one for the drive through and one for the counter. I have encountered days (including a Friday!) when there was only 1 person trying to cover both!
I ordered new checks here over 6 weeks ago and they mailed them to an old address. Not the address where all my other SunTrust mail goes, but do an address I haven’t lived at for 3 years! Not only could they not tell me if the missing checks had been returned or if they were sitting around Bass Lofts somewhere, they also charged me $ 8 for the counter check I had to have in order to pay rent this last month — even though it was there mistake that kept me from having my own checks.
I have once waited in the drive through to make a deposit for over 18 minutes and the atm out front NEVER has deposit envelopes.
Boo! I’m looking for a credit union!

Kind of got a smile from somebody. Suntrust will get bought — it’s an organization with no soul — is this the starbucks of the Banking business?.
