Vet nice staff eager to help but a few things askew… Food pretty good but not fabulous but i would definitely go back. Wedge salad very nice with a different twist of green goddess dressing. I had the flank steak for dinner with over puréed cauliflower and sautéed spinach. good flavors. Steak cooked perfect medium! Thank you. Latte could have been HOTter but good flavor again. Dessert was okay.

I came here for brunch since I saw so many good reviews on Unilocal.I was impress with the rustic and vintage décor of the restaurant. However the food did not meet my expectations. The bacon that came with the meal was brunt. I didn’t mention anything to the sever because I was on a time crunch. I will give it another shot when I come back to Atlanta because I really did like the atmosphere.

Best brunch in Atlanta! Pimento cheese omelette or the belly Benedict are my favorite. The belly Benedict is weekends only. They have a ginger peach tea that is amazing! The restaurant is super cute. Expect a wait and to have to park on the street

This is my favorite place in all of Atlanta! The vibe here is amazing and I try to come here on days off. The belly Benedict (sadly only served on the weekend) is my favorite dish, I love all the different flavor a that are in it. The Napoleon complex is a great lunch option and is very filling. The big problem that Sun in My Belly suffers from is consistency. I get the same dish every time (the belly Benedict) and I never know if the eggs are going to be runny or come out completely hard boiled. The service here is sometimes great and sometimes super slow. Your never sure if the server is going to check on you or not (I get it, it’s super busy so they may not have time) this one issue really does irk me. But the food is so delicious and it’s such a nice place to hang out that it really doesn’t matter.

Came for Saturday brunch. Wait was around 20 min (not bad!). Got the french toast, which was excellent. Sweet and flavorful but not overly so. Cleaned the plate and will be back to try in another seasonal variation. Street parking is manageable, and their décor is tasteful. Also hear their catering is really great.

My wife’s friend often visited this neighborhood café, so we decided to go here for Sunday brunch. They have live music on the first Sunday of the month from 11 AM — 2 PM, which they call «Jazz Brunch». The place was packed and there was a waiting list. We got some drinks from the coffee bar and sat on the couches near the musicians while we waited for a table. The music was a light jazz and they were really good. We waited for about 30 minutes before we were called for a table. I guess that’s the sign of a good restaurant — lots of people want to eat there. They were going to seat us at a table out back but we wanted to hear the music so we decided to sit at the couch instead.
Service was a little slow, mainly because they were really backlogged with food orders. By the time we got our food another 30 minutes later, the music was finished. I ordered a grilled vegetable sandwich with tomato basil soup and my wife got the french toast stuffed with ricotta cheese and fruit. Both of our orders were delicious. Each item seems to contain something different to give it an exotic flavor. Can’t believe each of our dishes costed only $ 8.
The café also does catering, private events and gourmet boxed lunches. The portions are great and the food is almost gourmet for a reasonable price. Definitely recommend if you’re in Atlanta!

Great brunch menu! My friend and I went Saturday around 11 and got seated within 20 minutes. The food was delicious! We shared the French Toast and I had the egg omlet. My friend had the eggs Benedict. Everything was great and our server was nice.
Definitely plan to return there.

First, and most importantly: the food here is absolutely amazing. I had the Belly Benedict and it was one of the best breakfast items I’ve had in Atlanta. My friend loved everything he had, too. On top of all that, the food came out really quickly, and we were also shown to our table pretty quickly despite the place being crowded. I will most certainly be coming back in the future for more.
The reason I give this place 3 stars is because of kind of a lot of little things that you just don’t expect at a restaurant that has such nice ambience and such good food.
The issues:
The first thing I ordered was a coffee, and the entire rim of the cup was pretty dirty. It had dried up coffee all around it, as if it had been very hastily cleaned, or not cleaned at all.
Second, I noticed some ants crawling around on the wall. That was kind of off putting. There weren’t a lot of them, but there were more than I’m comfortable seeing on the walls of a restaurant for sure.
Next, after we all got water and ordered coffees, we were never once given refills. Maybe coffee refills aren’t complimentary, but water ought to be, and if not, we should have been asked. We also didn’t see much of our server, so there weren’t opportunities to raise the issue ourselves.
Finally, at two points during our meal, a server or hostess approached us in the middle of our meal asking us to give her one of the spare chairs at our table. The space where we were dining was pretty tight, so we had to get up, shuffle around, slide chairs out, apologize to other diners, etc, etc. Not something I’ve ever been asked to do at a restaurant before — even a crappy one.
So, in conclusion, the food is amazing. I’m going to go back. But if you plan on going, just don’t be surprised by any of this stuff.

Was so excited to try this place out because I had their catered food before and it was amazing, but once we FINALLY got our food I was underwhelmed! We tried the restaurant on New Year’s Day so we expected to wait. We were told a hour, we waited a hour and a half. Our food took a whole hour to come after that. Talk about starving. I had the scrambled egg press panini, and honestly I could have made that at home. It was just ok, but not great. The cheese grits however were good. I’ll give this place another try, but I was not impressed. My friend ordered the shrimp
And grits and didn’t like the BBQ sauce, another ordered the French toast, he said it was good. I just wasn’t impressed and the servers were not attentive! The apple, carrot cake, is good, we had that while we waited.

I love this place! It’s really cute. The menu is a little expensive for the portions. Their brunch menu sounds awesome, I’m going to have to come back and try that. Their menu changes seasonly (I believe, not 100% on that.) overall, it’s a great place to come with some friends for a quick lunch to catch up or something.

Came here with some friends and had a super delicious brunch. The service was reasonable and the food, all of it, was delicious. Why we loved it:
The PBLT — best breakfast sandwich ever. I got mine with and egg, I think you should too.
Stuffed French Toast — shared with the table. It was amazing.
Benedict — My husband loved it and after begging for a taste I did too. Great flavor to the dish and it was super balanced. Sometimes the hollandaise sauce overwhelms these dishes and this one didn’t.
Atmosphere — call me a nostalgic fool but this reminds me of the little cafes we are at in Seattle when we loved on Capitol Hill for a few short glorious years.
Coffee — they had decent coffee which made it a perfect breakfast.
Yeah service wasn’t phenomenal but it wasn’t bad and I was certainly not put off by it. If I lived closer if be here often!

New Year’s brunch here was naturally a long wait, but totally worth it! They even have a few couches for waiting patrons to use. They offer a separate coffee and bakery bar at the front of the entrance, and the coffee is even fair trade. After waiting about an hour we were seated and our order was taken promptly. My friends ordered the PBLT and the portabello mushroom panini. I ordered Alison’s omelette with honey glazed bacon and pimento cheese. The food was perfect and delicious! It was also well priced and we had good service. The wait was long but the ambiance and décor were rustic and comfortable so at least it was an enjoyable wait.

Went for brunch, The food was good. The place is cool. But the wait and the service (though friendly) was very slow. On everything
Recommendations:
–Fried green tomatoes with pimento cheese
–PBLT
–hashed potatoes
–chicken sausage
–French toast.

Sun in my BELLY!!! I had a large white omelet in my belly and multiple glasses of champagne by the time the brunch was over. Service is extremely slow and they forgot multiple times to bring out our requests (extra glass for the champagne, toast, veggies for the hummus, just to name a few).
I think I would have enjoyed the food more if what we asked came WITH the meal. However, I did have a good time overall but that may be slightly biased due to the ludicrous amount of champagne consumed. Just saying.
Step up your service up a notch or so and you got yourself a regular!

Is this the cutest and most hipster brunch spot possible? Yes.
Sun in My Belly is in an up and coming neighborhood in Atlanta. A friend and I went here for Sunday brunch and it was an amazing experience. It was busy, but the wait wasn’t too long. We ended up sitting outside — which was great — just a little bit loud with the trains going by.
I started off with an Iced Chai, which was perfect and refreshing.
Being in the South, I had to go with the Alison’s Famous Pimento Cheese omelette. The bacon really made the dish. Soooo good! The potatoes it came with were great too — but I wish it would have also come with a side of bread. I left full, but not stuffed.
Overall, I thought the brunch prices were right and the service was friendly. Our waiter was a bit spacey but took care of us.
Would most definitely go here next time I am in Atlanta!

Amazing brunch spot located in Kirkwood!
I ordered the Benedict (only available on weekends) and loved it! The portion wasn’t huge but I didn’t leave hungry. The butternut squash was amazing and the chipotle sauce had a nice kick to it. The biscuit was surprisingly very good! Especially with the homemade jam.
My friends ordered the challah French toast and it also was very good. The fruit was very fruit and complemented the French toast very nicely. I ordered bacon on the side and it was good as well. All of that^, plus a glass of fresh orange juice!!! Couldn’t get any better.
On the weekends be prepared to wait a good while for a table/​food.
Overall, this place is amazing; great food, cool ambiance, and friendly servers.

Oh my! So happy that my friend decided to have her birthday lunch here. I had it bookmarked and was excited to cross it off my list. The place is much bigger than I thought. There are multiple rooms and we were located in a room way on the far side of the entrance. We were a pretty big party. 12, I think. Parking was a pain and a half. Try to find something on the side streets but pay attention to any signage.
To start, we shared some fried green tomatoes (first time trying this) and pimento cheese. So amazing! Someone brought in champagne so we could celebrate. $ 10 corkage fee for each bottle. What?! That seemed pretty excessive. Luckily, they could split that fee across the whole table. We also opted to get carafes of orange juice to make our own mimosas. After seeing how awesome the pimento cheese was, I opted for the pimento cheese omelet as my meal. It was delicious. :-)
Someone at our table did have a bit of bad luck with her speciality order. The kitchen got it wrong twice. But, in the end, they comped her meal. So there we go. Good solution. I do wish they had a more extensive menu– there really is not alot to choose from if you are looking from something breakfast-​y.

Maybe because I haven’t tried brunch here, which is what they’re know for, I am not a fan.
We came for a birthday dinner and the location was pretty far out. Someone else had drove, so I was lost for direction and felt like it was middle of nowhere. They do have free parking behind the restaurant, which was nice. Ambiance and décor is nice, sort of remind you of being in Anthropology, which was perfect for our group of girls. Service was good, and overall everything was average including the food, but nothing too memorable for me to go back.

The great:
Food quality & taste. Each dish is freshly prepared to order, and plated with care. We have loved every dish & dessert that we have had here! They really know how to take simple, seasonal ingredients and make them shine.
The service. Although it can take a while longer than some places for food to come out (because, see above), the service we have had here has always been top notch. Drinks brought promptly after ordering, and they’ve always let us know that our food was close to being on its way out to us.
We’ve been here during both breakfast & lunch hours on weekdays, and I love that we have never felt rushed out of the place. Reminds me a lot of lingering over some lovely meals in Europe.
Weekday service. We’ve only been here for breakfast & lunch on weekdays, and we have never had to wait for a parking space, nor table.
The not so great:
Dining room & lack of comfort.
I completely agree with the reviewer who recently said that it is hot and humid in here. I think that the AC needs fixing (or needs to be turned on!) They should also keep the doors that keep the dining rooms separated closed, during breakfast/​lunch hours on the weekdays. It’s really odd & discomforting to watch as employees are constantly walking back and forth through that door. The first dining room is a pretty small space for a restaurant. Tight seating & close tables can make for some noisy dining. Especially because (although the tunes are usually really good) the music in here is played pretty loudly. People tend to speak louder, to hear & be heard over the music.
Outside space. I won’t dock the restaurant a star or anything for this, but it would be really great if they made the outside of the place more appealing. Some nicely decorated, shaded outdoor seating would go a long way here.
Weekend service. Apparently this place is a zoo during weekends, but they do take reservations. Parking might also be an issue on the weekends.

The first 120 moments inside this business I was overwhelmed with scents of fresh out of the oven, buttery, sugary, delightful things. I could not stop talking about how wonderful it smelled. When was the last time you’ve said that about a business?
I have nothing negative to say about my experience here. Our brunch was the right level of both causal and classy. Mimosas came in a stemless champagne flute. Plates were garnished with just the right amount of herbs and butters/​jams came in separate dishes on the plate. My single snickerdoodle cookie to go came in a small box. Lots of small touches that rolled up to an amazing experience.
Oh yeah– and the food was absolutely incredible. I had the Benedict — and while it was more of a pile of things than the traditional stack, I enjoyed every bite. It was the type of dish you keep eating even though you are stuffed. The chipotle flavored hollandaise did have a kick to it. The accompanying biscuit was super dry but was made better by my friend’s jelly that she got with her meal. I’d recommend ordering a topping of some sort.
I will definitely be back here sometime soon and would happily recommend to friends. The only thing is that we came very early on a Saturday and were immediately seated. On other days we have passed by it looked like there was a long wait– this is a case of early bird gets the worm.
