Established in 2012.

‘It’s in the genes’…my Grandfather started his business decades ago by going door to door offering floor cleaning services to local businesses in his community.

Years later myself and my partner individually began perfecting our crafts as we worked our way through college and later formed the awesome business we have today «Sprucing Up GA!»

I am a native New Yorker who has called Atlanta home since the Summer of ’05. I’m also a graduate of both The University of Pittsburgh and Florida A&M University.

Recent years have been quite enjoyable providing house cleaning and lawn care services in my community. I love to see pure joy in the eyes of our customers after a job well done.

And I also appreciate all the dog treats our regular customers provide our pooches, Queenie, Snoopy, King, & Maximus.

I highly discourage anyone from using this service. The woman who returned my call was extremely rude. I attempted to schedule an appointment to quote a massive clean up, redesign, and recurring maintenance landscaping project. This woman simply refused to do so. She only wanted to «ballpark» the charges without actually visiting the property. The woman repeatedly raised her voice when I balked at the idea of someone showing up to complete work which hasn’t been quoted. I found their process highly irregular and communication extremely unprofessional. Luckily there are MANY other providers to choose from within the immediate area.

Joi and Sprucing Up Georgia just finished a lawn cleanup job for our home in Smyrna. I reached out after reading reviews like the one I’m leaving on Unilocal,and Joi got back to me within 24 hours with an approximate quote for the work. She came out the next week and did wonders for our yard. She trimmed hedges and bushes, picked up some of the brush on the side of our house, picked countless weeds, edged the yard and blew off the yard and driveway. Our yard looks so much better!
Sprucing Up GA is really a one-​stop-​shop, and I look forward to using them for other projects we’ve been wanting to get done like pressure washing. I would highly recommend Joi’s services to anyone.

We had been seriously slacking on raking up leaves and those awful sweetgum balls and needed desperate help — Sprucing Up GA came to the rescue and it was as easy as possible. After an initial email and phone call to confirm, they took care of our yard and it looked great! They sent me photos of the job (since I was at work) and invoices are sent online — no need to be there or write a check. Great job, easy as cake — thanks!

I have four dogs and she has always left my house in great shape. She always sends a reminder for my biweekly service. She is very trustworthy and very friendly. Similar to one of the other reviews. Finally signed up for Unilocal account after many years of usage, all thanks to two wonderful personable people coming cleaning up our lawn and back yard. Loving the fact that they texted before arrival, and even texted as they were pulling up the driveway to let us know. After that they promptly did everything on my wish list, and exceeded my expectations! Rare find of professionals loving their job. Will certainly use them again, and won’t hesitate recommending them either.

I was initially hesitant to go with a «smaller» company. I do try to support local business when I can and read reviews similar to the one I am about to leave. Sprucing up GA are professionals, they are flexible, personable, and a reliable hard working team. They were very fast in initial call back and Joi even came by on a Sunday afternoon to look at my space (contemporary house on a hill and corner lot). Due to some weather related issues, my appointment was moved back a few days. This was fine because I had told Joi that I was flexible about what day they came for service. Today they came and worked their tails off. No joke. Hats off to them. My disaster of leaves, weeds, mini bushes, hedges, edging, and large limb collection/​removal happened through some major hard work. I am hoping they will come back to help wit fall clean ups and lawn maintenance through out the season… would most highly recommend Sprucing Up Georgia.

I’m so pleased with the wonderful job the owners did with my yard, that I finally signed up for a Unilocal account (after 5 years of using the site) just so I could leave this review. I was actually embarrassed to hire someone to clean out my yard because the space is so small (I live in a townhome with a tiny backyard). However, the owners promptly returned my phonecall and assured me that no job was too small. David arrived for our appointment on time and spent a couple of hours removing all of the many dead leaves and debris that had accumulated this winter. He trimmed back the overgrown ivy on my fence, laid down brand new mulch and even hauled away my Christmas tree! I couldn’t be happier with the finished product and pricing was very reasonable. I definitely plan to use this company again for future outdoor projects!
