History

Established in 1960.

Southern Eye Specialists is one of the oldest offices built in Atlanta, GA to give quality eye care to the local residents. There have been three different doctors in the past 53 years because we believe in a marriage of old fashion care and compassion coupled with the latest in technology to provide consistent eye care.

The doctors and staff take great care of their patients and have started a legacy of devotion to anyone who walks into our office.

Meet the Business Owner

Dr. Rohit S.

Business Owner

Dr. Rohit Sharma, of Indian ancestry, was born and raised in Kenya until the age of 12, when his family immigrated to the United States. He spent his childhood in California and later attended the University of California, at Berkeley where he majored in Molecular Cell Biology, with an emphasis in Cell and Developmental Biology. Dr. Sharma graduated in 1995 and then attended the New England College of Optometry.

Dr. Sharma specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of all patients specifically with diabetes, high blood pressure, glaucoma, dry eye, uveitis, as well as many childhood conditions such as amblyopia.

Dr. Marc Kranz was born and raised in Louisville, Kentucky. He attended Vanderbilt University and graduated from the University of Louisville. Following graduation, he attended Southern College of Optometry, Memphis, Tennessee.
