Smart Toddlers Prep

My son attended Smart Toddlers Prep for 4 months. I am only removing him from the school because my needs for full time care changed and the school is a half-​day program.
My son thrived since Day 1. He was always excited to go to school and was full of joy when I would pick him up in the afternoon. He began pronouncing words much better, he began pausing to think before speaking and would tell me to say YES, not huh or yea.
What I like about Smart Toddlers is they keep you up to date about what is going on with your child and they are interactive with the learning they teach at the school. Their team is united and they get along very well. What I enjoy the most is that my son is happy.
If I didn’t need full time care I wouldn’t have removed my son from the school. They really have become family ours and I recommend them highly.

As you know, teachers make the school, and I love the people at Smart Toddlers. The location is convenient, they are flexible and communicate well with parents, and the program draws families from diverse backgrounds. This is my daughter’s first «school» experience and she is thriving.

This is a terrific place to send your kids. Our teacher to student ratio this year is six to one. The teachers really care about the students. They have a simple approach to teaching fundamentals to children so that they are more than prepared for kindergarten.

There is nothing like the peace and comfort you have when you know your children are well cared for. My girls are certainly Smart Toddlers after 4+ years of consistent quality care here. They provided everything we were looking for for a work from home mom; shorter hours, social interaction in a small classroom setting, an exciting daily routine where children are active and engaged in a real curriculum and the most patient & loving teachers you could ask for.
Both of my daughters started around 2 years old and thrived when we left for Kindergarten because of Smart Toddlers. This really is prep school for toddlers; your child will get exposed to music, yoga, science & most 4 year olds (in the program) have strong reading skills by the time they get to Kindergarten. They use age appropriate math, science, language & reading games & tools that made it so fun for my children, they loved each day and hated to miss school. The best part was the sense of community & support you feel from other families with superb parent involvement, special celebrations on holidays, mystery reader days, etc,. The children really benefit from these things just as much and you won’t find them at your typical morning out program, certainly not at the larger schools.
If you are seeking a fundamentally-​rich program with loving teachers, engaging & fun environment for your child, at competitive rates, then consider this Decatur gem that won’t for long be a best kept secret!

Very good school. Very nurturing teachers. Great location. Diverse atmosphere. Our personal situation changed and we needed a full-​time school or we’d still be there. Love them.

Awesome school. My 3 year old has been going here for a couple of months now and her vocabulary has shot up. She knows math, reading, number and letters. I would say she is more than prepared than most 3 year olds for kindergarten. So you can imagine what the 4 year olds are learning. They also teach in Spanish as well. It’s a half day program for right now. Price is awesome for what it is. If you’re looking for fun and academia, is it. The staff take you in as family and you feel the warmth.
