Salon 2000

I’ve been going here for years and John always gives me the best cuts. He has great attention to detail and keeps up to date with the latest styles so when it’s time to update my look I come out looking great.
It’s a fun atmosphere… and they have free wine and other beverages to enjoy during your session.

I should have read the reviews before going there. I walked in, WENDY CUT MY HAIR AND DID A HORRIBLE JOB!!! DONT LET HER NEAR YOU WITH SCISSORS. she rushed through my hair and did not wash it. she ruined my hair, plain and simple. BE WARNED!!!

I’ve been getting my haircuts at Great Clips and other similar businesses. These places were okay for a standard cut, but I needed a stylist that could work with my coarse hair. It had been 3 months since I had a haircut when a friend referred me to John at Salon 2000.
I arrived a few minutes early for us to discuss the issues with my hair and what I wanted. John made recommendations and we agreed on a style before he started cutting. My sides and back were trimmed then John washed my hair to see how the top would lay without product in it. Next, the top was cut with some tweaking on the style to get the ideal shape. We discussed the hair products I could use. John wasn’t trying to make a sales pitch which I really appreciated. Next, my head was rinsed to remove the loose hairs and John demonstrated the technique to apply product.
This was the best haircut I’ve had in a long time and I really like my new style. John was very experienced and showed patience. I even made my next appointment with him before I left the salon.

I have been to Salon 2000 before and Mary did a great job. I needed a haircut and was only in town for one day and Mary was off so Wendy cut my hair. She did a horrible job. She did not wash my hair after I had product in there all day long. She cut my hair and I could barely tell she cut it. I asked her to cut it shorter and it was not any better. I was so frustrated and just wanted to get out of there. The cut was very uneven due to the fact that she did not wash out the product before she starting cutting. The trim job around my ears leaves a lot to be desired and my sideburns were not touched. Needless to say Wendy will never touch my hair again. She clearly did not care about me as a client.

Unfortunately none of the good hairstylists work there anymore. I had a haircut yesterday by someone I didn’t know, because people I knew were gone. Also I have bad experiences with women who cut my hair before. So, I had concerns and called back to arrange a different hairstylist. I just can’t stand this stereotype thinking; because I am a woman I must have been matched with woman hairstylist? It is a gay neighborhood god sake! There must be a reason why I walk in a salon where other gay men get their hair cut, isn’t there? Also it’s my choice as a costumer nobody’s business to judge. But hey! I’ve got bitched out on the phone… Such «miss things»… I was offended by that guy’s attitude however I still showed up. Why? Because even I knew that I was going to come to this point giving a well deserved bad review, deep inside I wanted to be wrong!
So lady finished cutting my hair within 10mins –the simplest haircut request ever I tell you– she didn’t even showed me back of my hair, she didn’t blow dry to see how exactly my hair would look when it’s dry, nada! Then she OVERCHARGED me for all that hardwork! When I got home I blow dried my hair and saw the front of my hair wasn’t right at all!.. I had to cut it myself and have to go somewhere else to fix it for good. Because I’m not going back that salon ever again!
I live across the street for 11 years now. I was here when they weren’t and I’ll be here when they will be gone and I won’t stop telling everyone I know that how shitty their work and how shitty attitude some of them have!

I have been going to Kim at Salon 2000 since before the Millennium and am still going.
The friendly, personable atmosphere puts you at ease the moment you walk in. All the stylists are experts and I would trust any of them to cut my hair when Kim is on vacation.
I have tried those other «$ 15 Haircuts» and found they just aren’t worth it – you have to wait, don’t know who you are going to get and are so close you might as well be sitting on top of one another in the chairs.
So without question, I recommend you try Salon 2000!

When I moved into town, I was in search of a good hair salon. After a year of misses, I found Salon 2000. I have been a customer here for the last six years. When I first started going, I had short hair and Ann did an awesome job. Then I decided to let it grow out and switched to Michael. There are six or seven stylists at this salon and they all share the love, so wasn’t uncomfortable about making the change. Which is nice, because where Ann was great with short hair, Michael, in my opinion, is great with long hair.
All the stylists are personable, the shop is clean and based on my experience, Ann and Michael keep on schedule. Although I make my appointments in advance, they do accept walk-​ins.
