Regal Cinemas Atlantic Station 18 IMAX & RPX

Poor box office service. Slow. Very Rude employees, especially in concessions… oh, and turn on the A/​C already… it’s sumner in Atlanta, for God’s sake!!! Overall bad experience.

This movie theater isn’t bad, but the service is super slow. There were 4 lines at concession each moving at a snail’s pace. We ordered a ‘kids pack’ of popcorn and had to wait and watch as the girl had to assemble and build the box — then slowly fill it with popcorn. Shouldn’t that have been prepared ahead of time???

The theater is somewhat generic — although I do like how you can exit on the 2^nd floor in some theaters to beat the crowd. I ordered chicken fingers from the concession and had to move over to the area where they handed out the food. I waited 20 minutes for my items to come out. They handed out about 1 item every 3 – 4 minutes and I almost missed the start of the movie. Make sure you order food with plenty of time if you go during a prime time.

The movie, Alice, was wonderful. The Regal experience at Atlantic station was not.
Nothing bad to say about the film… the administration, well, read on.
Parked underneath. bought tickets, Fandango 29 May. Got in fine. Way out, put my parking tag in machine… no noise, nothing. Put it in again other way round. again, no noise, nothing. Thought it had been Validated (+ 2 hours). Drove out… told to pay $ 4. Punched button for receipt (I intended to complain)…no receipt. Machine ate my tag… nothing. Paid $ 4… mad as hell.
Now, if you folks will refund my $ 4, fine. If I hear nothing, not fine. Last four numbers on my credit card 6 373 (Amex)…now you can look it up. Lets see if you do anything? If nothing, you made an enemy.

The place is very dirty. Overflowing trash cans, debris in seats and all over the floor. Movie was supposed to start at 730, the screen was dark until 745pm.
I’m pretty sure this place is run by teenagers, so it makes sense. Great sound system, though.

This is going to be short and sweet. Movies are movies so. Nothing to comment on there. Haven’t seen enough I max movies to comment the quality. Seemed pretty good to me. But the thing that boils my blood is the price of inflation. So If you offer movie tickets for $ 20 please let the atmosphere match the experience. My pictures should explain enough. I’ve had cleaner bathrooms and theathers at North DeKalb mall. Not saying just saying. Tighten up.

It is pretty hard to mess up the movies, as you obviously go to see a movie while you are here. Th Us review is based on the customer service. The interactions with the employees that I have had every time I attend is terrible. The concession vendors are HORRIBLE. I have to get their attention when it’s my turn because they are always too busy talking among themselves. After finally getting their attention, I repeat my order 2 – 3 times, they then proceed to sluggishly gather my order. The whole process for a drink and popcorn takes FOREVER! It’s very frustrating to say the least.
Only reason I give 2 stars is for the VIP servers… They are the lone bright stars at this establishment.

This theater is located in Atlantic Station. There is parking below the mall strip and there is a parking validation machine in the theater that allows for an additional few hours of free parking.
To get to the theater, there is a glass door by the fitness center to the escalator to go up. They do movie screenings here (need to get ticket in advance through the movie screening website/​film company) and I’ve been to this theater twice. It’s an OK theater to watch movies at. Their bigger theater rooms have a decent amount of seating, but it feels like a older theater (look and feel of it). It’s conveniently located near shops and restaurants so makes a good place to meet and hangout with friends.

This is a fave theater of mine. Mainly because of the location. Usually whenever there’s a big movie première or, in many cases, when a celeb decides to step out to the movies (for their own movies), it will be here. Very long lines for popular movies (arrive early) and slightly higher prices. But mainly because of the location. But I like it. The individual theaters seem a little more intimate.

watched 2 fights break out on v day. love world star hip hop videos in real life. was not disappointed in movie or buttery popcorn. drinks are big.
floors had popcorn all over them but whatever its a movie dude so get over it!
those kids get minimum wage man, they don’t care and neither should you. watch yo movie and shut up

While the screens and seating are above average at this Regal, the concessions are a joke — way too slow and to eager to upsell you a pizza or unwanted combo. I’m not sure who came up with the idea to have hot food with a «pick up» line but it takes too long (the person taking the order yells back «pizza» or whatever it is then you wait for some time as someone in the back scrambles with the microwave or toaster oven) and often, if you don’t get a pick-​up ticket, the orders are confused and given to the wrong people who are in a hurry to make the opening credits. In general the concessions are the real issue here so if you don’t need them the movie, screens and overall cleanliness are fine.

I used to really like this theater, but it’s really gone down hill in the last year or so.
Last night was the final straw — we won’t be going there again.
The entire theater was filthy — popcorn was everywhere — all over the floors of the hallways, the escalator, the actual movie theater we were in.
My husband got up to grab a soda and ended up missing 30 or so mins because he was in the concession line and the people working the counters were moving slow as slugs.
I was also very nervous because there were so many cops there. It seems as though there is trouble there often if they have to have multiple cops in bullet proof vests patrolling the halls.

Ok, so this is a two-​fur. Reviewing the 1) movie theatre AND 2) the always infamous but sometimes surprising movie theatre food — and I suppose you can add a third because I went to the 3) «VIP» sad excuse for a clubby sports pub «restaurant» (restaurant very much deserves to be in quotes).
1) I’ve been to the theatre before — average to good. Staff a little rude but it’s a theatre and gets the job done.
2) Ohhhhhhh my goodness this is the worst food I’ve ever eaten. And I’ve eaten a chicken Caesar wrap in a gas station in middle of south Tennessee. It was practically rubber chicken on my potato bagged chips nachos. Cold runny tomatoes, canned everything — seriously THE WORST FOOD EVER. DO NOT ORDER ANYTHING. I’ve had the chicken tenders in the main area (only when I’m in a pinch and starving and chick fil a had too long of a line before the show started) and they are also pretty terrible. The only saving grace why this got 2 stars is because the manager, although he took 5 – 10 mins to show up, did understand and gave me a full refund. Don’t waste your time or sodium allotment — DO NOT EAT ANYTHING. I know it’s a movie theater food and it’s too be expected but these full service bar and restaurant places can have decent food. This place does not. I hope it gets shut down.
3) probably the most relevant is the VIP seating area. The chairs are so budget, they recline either too far or not far enough to wear your beck is uncomfortable or staring at the ceiling.
Summary — these guys are SO budget and cheap. I hope regal shuts them down because I’m appalled by how bad this place can be. Go anywhere else!!!

Finally visited this theater for the first time recently to attend the Hateful 8 70 mm Panavision Roadshow last weekend, so my review is based solely on that experience.
We purchased our tickets through the Fandango app and gratefully avoided the long line forming in front of the ticket window. Had our tickets sent via mobile, so we simply walked up to the ticket taker, had my phone scanned, and breezed through once we found the secret passage inside. HINT: To avoid looking like a lost tourist, head back behind the ticketing window. It will appear that you’re walking into the gym, but alas! there are doors that lead to an escalator into the theater.
Concessions overpriced & possibly disinterested teenage employees like everywhere else blah blah blah, but they did have a few heartier snacks (Freschetta pizza, chicken sandwich, etc) that don’t seem terrible if you screw up and don’t eat before your flick. Bathrooms were clean and plenty.
They handed out our programs for the film upon entering and had an organized line formed behind the velvet rope to avoid the mad dash that may have ensued otherwise. A good choice I think. The seats are nice and new with some give, but they are not the schmancy recliner type (my only snooty reason for –1 star).
What I really appreciated was that the owners of this theater saw the importance of the preservation of FILM and decided to participate in this Tarantino Roadshow business. Knowing what they invested in time and effort to be a part of it just so that ATL area patrons could appreciate a film experience that many will now never have, my hat goes off to them! Bravo and thank you!

The movie-​projection-​portion side of the house seems to have its game down. The rest could use a good pep-​talk.
I feel as if the staff wants you to know they’re doing you a favor by letting you be in the building, never-​mind getting your popcorn or a beverage. (And the prices don’t come with financing.) I was recently in attendance for a movie that had an intermission. Now, anyone who’d done their homework would have known the intermission was to last twelve minutes. Twelve Minutes. Only twelve. Why then, is there no hustle behind the concessions counter when the intermission crowd is six people deep at each register? Why do I feel like the sloth-​trailer for that one movie is happening in live-​action at Regal Cinemas? It took me fifteen minutes to get to the counter. Half of my order was lackadaisically filled before they bothered to tell me that the hot food I’d ordered would take another several minutes to make. *headdesk*
Oh, and the validated parking didn’t work. I should have had six hours of validated time on my ticket to see a 3 hour movie, and I still had to pay to get out of there.

I visited this theater, located in Atlantic Station, last Saturday morning. My girlfriend and I went to one of the day’s first showings of the new Star Wars movie, so we got to see the theater during a challenging time.
The first thing to note about this theater is that it is located in the Atlantic Station complex. My thoughts on Atlantic Station are available in another review. However, from the perspective of a theater visit, Atlantic Station only comes into play because of the parking. There is ample parking for the theater, and you can validate two additional hours after the two hours offered by Atlantic Station. You have four total hours, and the machines are located near the exits.
The theater itself is about what you would expect. I believe it is the only place to offer IMAX in Atlanta, but it’s not «real» IMAX in that the screens are small and the seating is not tiered like I’ve seen at better theaters. However, the picture is still good and the seats are okay.
The staff was friendly and efficient despite the crowds. One positive is the ability to reserve seats ahead of time. Having assigned seats is wonderful, because you don’t have to mess around with lines and other stress.
As others have noted, this theater has some issues around cleaning. The seats were filthy, and there was trash all over the floor. It’s not hard to staff the theater such that you have enough people to clean after each movie, especially one of the first shows of the day.
Others have complained that the sound is too loud, but this wasn’t a problem when we went.
Overall, this was a decent experience under harsh conditions for the venue. We weren’t impressed enough to go back for more IMAX, but it’s a worthy theater. There might be some merit to its VIP seating, but there are better options available. Unless you live in Atlantic Station, I would go elsewhere, but this isn’t a bad place by any means.

This cinema is appalling. So bad they should demolish it.
Here is why I hate it:
1) It’s expensive $ 20 per ticket (for imax) but its run down, has ordinary seats (not the recliner versions), dirty cloth fabric on the seats.
2) It is absolutely FILTHY. I went in there. Our row was full of popcorn and abandoned soft drinks on the floor. I go to the customer service desk and ask them to clean it. They say it has been cleaned. I tell them to send another cleaner. The guy comes, looks and then is about to leave. I grabbed the guy by the arm and told him to clean my aisle. He then cleans the aisle, but doesn’t bother to clean the other aisles. What a useless janitor! I don’t know what astonishes more — the fact that they are so hopeless at cleaning, or that some of the locals feel it is okay to sit in this filth.
3) Out dated, run down, worn out seats.
4) Not enough leg room compared with other premium cinemas.

The moon must be blue since I went to a theater to see a movie, something I only do every few years. A friend wanted to see Spectre, so a couple of us joined her at the Regal Atlantic Station. It would have been a cinch to purchase tickets outside at the self-​service kiosks, but after going through all this rigmarole, the machine couldn’t read the credit card, argh. At least it was just one machine but that was obnoxious. And why is a weekend matinée for an adult $ 11? Yikes.
Anyway, the guy ripping out tickets in half was very pleasant and directed us to our theater. The room was packed so our seats were at sub-​optimal level, but we dealt. I will have to declare that the seats were roomy and cushy. And I was pleasantly surprised that the other moviegoers kept quiet though there were a high number of people coming and going during the flick. I guess people don’t worry about missing any major plot points. But if I’m spending more than ten bucks on a film, I want to make sure to catch every single minute.
The restroom wasn’t unkempt, and it was pretty easy to locate. The parking validation machine is a little harder to find. If you’re facing the exits, more more towards the left. Two more hours of free parking is super awesome.
When a few more years pass and it’s time to venture to the movies again, I’d consider Regal Atlantic Station.

This Regal Cinema’s not the best, but it’s certainly better than many.
I’ve been coming to this cinema on and off for years now. For the longest time it was like most movie theaters: regular seats, regular concession goodies (popcorn, nachos with liquid cheese, candy), regular movies.
But maybe a year or so ago, Atlantic Station stepped it up. With the rise of fancy schmancy movie theaters around Atlanta like Cinebistro, updates to Phipps’ AMC Theaters and Movie Tavern, Regal got the hint that it couldn’t keep doing what it had been doing. Good thing too — it was tired then.
Imagine my surprise though, when I came back for the first time after a few months’ hiatus and saw bigger, cushier seating, adult beverages and cocktails for purchase, an IMAX screen for larger than life viewing and a new lounge area for enjoying a bite and a drink pre– or post-​show.
While it’s still not as fancy as some, this Regal Cinemas at Atlantic Station has definitely raised its game and it was a good move. Because of this, I can recommend if you’re in the area and in the mood for a movie, you’ll do well coming here.

Out of all the Regal’s I have been to in Atlanta I prefer this location over the rest. I love that fact that it is in Atlantic Station so that I can walk to dinner and do some shopping before the movie. You can get your parking validated at the movies so I normally never have to pay to work. You already get free time for the first hour or two and Regal adds on to that. The theaters that I have been in have been clean. They normally have enough staff working the concession stands. Sometimes on the weekends there can be a line especially if you want something cooked (pizza, chicken etc). This location has reclining seats and it’s pretty spacious in the inside.
The thumbs down part: It’s pricey and the first time I was here it took me a minute to find the escalator to get upstairs. It’s not really the grand entrance you would expect.
