They were not very professional. I was not happy with their services and the power, David Peavey, was very rude. I would not recommend them. They sell you equipment that does not actually work for your home and try to say that they did all this technical analysis, but the reality is they are trying to play a game and undersize for your home. I would be very wary about using them and buying into the whole process when they are just trying to rip you off and sell you more services.

I had to put in an emergency request and Michael came out within a few hours. He was honest and really good to deal with.

I called PV Friday morning after another company cancelled my 2 PM appointment and wanted to reschedule it to Saturday. PV was the only company, out of 4 or 5 I called, that were able to come that day. Branden showed up much sooner than scheduled (yay!) and was very professional. He went right to work and had the problem debugged in a few minutes. He clearly laid out his recommendations and options for the needed repairs. Once I agreed to what would be done, he went to get the parts, returned soon after and cool air was blowing through my vents a few minutes later. I was very happy with the overall experience. He even gave me two spare fuses for my old-​fashioned disconnect. The price seemed a little high but considering the situation, I can’t complain. I would definitely recommend these people.

I am consistently impressed with the high level of professionalism from everyone at the Peavey team. This morning I cam into our office and realized that the air had stopped working overnight. Its critical that our office stay cool due to our servers that are on premise.
I spoke to Jason Peavey at around 9:00AM of a Friday morning and he had a technician to our door before 11:0AM. I am positive that there is not another service provider in Atlanta that could have accomplished that.
Paul was the service technician that came to our office. He was knowledgeable, courteous and prompt. He had our system up and running in no time and also recommended a future plan of items that might need addressed to help with the longevity of our HVAC system.
I used Peavey HVAC two years ago for our residential installation and now for our commercial office space.
I cant speak more highly about this company and their core service culture to exceed their customers’ expectations.

I’ve had PV work on my A/​C and heating for 5 years now & wouldn’t ever consider any other company. All of the technicians are extremely experienced, knowledgeable, professional, & courteous. They have many products for every budget & explain everything in detail. They do whole home assessments & energy audits & they are completely turn key (they also offer plumbing, electrical, insulation, & water quality services… so basically any issue that arises in replacement or repair, they know the solution & can fix it.) We’ve had Peavey H/​A come out for 2 different problems, once with the gas/​electric fireplace at our new house near Decatur (for a minor fix) and also to our old house (a bigger fix) in East Point.
Both times they were incredibly FAST in coming out to assess the problem and then very professional in dealing with the problem. We ended up buying the monthly service plan to help with the cost of repairs at our old house, since the system is older and will likely need more help before the year is up.
Highly Recommended!

Below is in response to Jason’s reply to my original comment about PV:
Vendor says that the line set was undersized which will affect the operation of the unit. So why did the technician waste his time and my money ($ 500) on other things.
Vendor says that in addition, the units were mismatched without the improper metering device installed (TXV) that can cause liquid migration and shorten the life span of the compressor. This is incorrect. You need TXV device if the system is using 410A. My system is using R22; for R22, you don’t need TXV so the system is just fine as is.
The Vendor says we informed the customer the cleaning would not necessarily fix the unit and there could be additional issues once the cleaning was done but this was the first step in resolving his problem. The technician was so convincing that cleaning would fix the issue that I didn’t have a choice but to agree with him. He made me think that spending $ 130 would fix the issue and I wouldn’t necessarily need to fix the compressor and line set. This was a money-​making tactic used by the vendor.
The Vendor says after the cleaning we found the system to be low on freon affecting the operation of the system. They knew the system was low on freeon before it was cleaned; Cleaning was not the deciding factor here. This is where the chemical costs $ 12 but the vendor charges $ 130 due to their overhead charges; I was told this exact thing by the vendor specifically.
The Vendor says we added the proper freon to the system. We also informed the customer that this may not resolve the issue but will increase the cooling ability. Then why don’t you folks be honest and tell the customer the right thing from the beginning so the customer does not waste their money???
The Vendor says he was upset because he had spent $ 418 and still didn’t have the system working 100% properly. Correction; I spent $ 487 and not $ 418. Yes, I was upset because of this. Which normal person would not be upset if they spent almost $ 500 and the system is not fixed!!!
The Vendor says, our company pre-​warned the customer prior to every repair that due to the line set improper size the repairs may not 100% resolve his issue. Then why don’t you folks be honest and tell the customer the right thing from the beginning so the customer does not waste their money???
The Vendor says PV did not install or design this system so we are not responsible for the undersized line set. Even if the customer replaced the line set, the coil cleaning and freon are required for proper operation. This is incorrect. If the line set and compressor are replaced, cleaning the condenser unit with just water does the job.
The vendor says, Fahad mentions it only takes 5 minutes to clean an outdoor coil. A coil cleaning can take anywhere from 30 minutes to an hour to clean depending on the application and how dirty the coil is. The day your technician cleaned my coil, it took only 5 – 10 minutes; they beat the average time of 30 minutes; you folks should be very proud of this accomplishment.
The Vendor says we responded the same day within 4 hours of Fahad’s call, an excellent response time. Incorrect; the technician came in next day not same day. However, I never complained about the response time but if that is the only thing you folks feel special because of, that is very sad.
The vendor says we understand the frustration to spend $ 418 and still not having the AC work 100% properly. Incorrect; it was $ 487 NOT $ 418. Obviously, you don’t understand the frustration because you don’t even know how much money I spent.
The vendor says Also, these repairs would have been necessary even if he replaced the line set. This is technically incorrect.

I had a poor experience with the business recently once my AC went out. I was desperate for it to work on an 80 degree inside day. I called 6 places which were booked a week out. We had a HVAC guy come out and he thought we should purchase a capacitor for $ 250. He explains it may be a 300 $ to $ 400 blower motor that we need but he didn’t want us to buy it in vain for the capacitor may do the job. We bought it and a 14 $ a month maintenance plan for 1 year. He left and our AC stopped working 2 hrs later. We called at 7:30 and they said someone would come. At 9:30 another guy comes out and says we need a blower motor which is $ 442. We refused to pay that and he says he’s gonna make a call. He comes back and says he can take the previously spent 250 $ from the total and we pay $ 345. I asked how does that add up?!? He stays until 11:30 pm and still couldn’t fix it due to lack of correct parts. We went without for 2 days and Mon the co-​owner was who I am able to complain too. He gave me excuses as to why their parts cost more due to the fact they have to pay their workers 25 $ an hour and overhead fees. He also says my quote was only off by 100 $…I guess that’s not a big deal. He didn’t compensate anything but 14 $ back on my now canceled maintenence plan…

Peavey were recommended to me when we had an energy audit performed on our house. We are participating in the Georgia Power «Whole House Approach» as an effort to make our home more energy efficient. The energy audit revealed that our 1965 house was very «leaky» and suggested that we seal the air ducts and perform some other seemingly unrelated HVAC work to improve energy efficiency, comfort and indoor air quality. I was already planning to have a company seal the crawlspace to address some of these concerns but then I contacted Peavey thinking that they would just be sealing the duct work.
Once the Peavey brothers showed up and started talking to me about holistic approaches, I then realized that Peavey are much more than heating and cooling specialists. David began talking about how all these issues are related as a system and the best outcomes can be achieved by considering all factors, including heating, air conditioning, humidity, air sealing, etc (they are BPI certified.) Before even calling in the first few companies about this work, I had spent considerable amount of time researching building science and home performance, so I felt somewhat comfortable with my knowledge base (I’m a bit of a geek when it comes to buildings). David definitely knows building science and home performance as his recommendations and explanations became testament to this.
After studying our home and fully understanding what our goals were, David and Jason provided a quote for a scope of work that would address all of the recommendations from our home energy audit. The program through Georgia Power offers rebates for achieving benchmarks for air sealing and making certain improvements, such as adding insulation, etc. David and Jason both were very generous with their time to fully explain what they were doing and constantly following up with me to be sure all my questions were answered. Their scope of work included sealing the crawlspace, sprayfoam insulating the cinderblock walls in crawlspace, insulating basement walls, installing a whole house dehumidifier, sealing the ductwork and plenum. David and his crews always showed up when they said they would and performed their work exceptionally! Each day, we would review what work was to be performed and I was always given an opportunity to ask questions. I have worked with many contractors and tradesmen in my career and dealing with personal houses. Peavey far exceeded my expectations every step of the way. David’s knowledge, expertise and pursuit of excellence is exemplary. Never have I had such a positive experience with any work of this kind. David performed some of the work himself but had his crews perform other parts. David would always come back to review any work that he did not do personally. He has very high standards and constantly quantifies their work by testing and monitoring data. This is one company that does not cut corners to sacrifice the quality of work. I highly recommend Peavey HVAC for any type of home performance work or HVAC service. Peavey have built a high quality, very reputable business by applying research and technology built around customer satisfaction and a high commitment to quality work and service. I couldn’t be more satisfied by their work and the outcome. Thank you Peavey family!!!

The team at Peavey are outstanding in their knowledge, quality, customer service and price. I always say you get what you pay for… in this case I received more than I paid for. After it came to light that my outdated system in an 8 year old condo was cheap and obsolete, I thought this couldn’t be possible. The builder used crappy units and the work was shoddy. After given all the options, with no hard sale, I choose the unit I thought would do the best job for me at that price point. I have never been happier with a contractor and I use many in my line of work. I would without hesitation, recommend them to anyone needing HVAC work. The team at Peavey are the best. You guys rock!

I got quotes from several companies before going with Peavey. I decided to use them because they gave me unique solutions I hadn’t heard from anybody else. I received a very in-​depth assessment of my living space with the initial quote. I was impressed with their knowledge and inclusion of outlying factors that affect my home’s environment beyond the compressor and air-​handler like airflow and noise. Inevitable problems were handled professionally. These guys are problem solvers.

Visiting my grandmom in Atlanta, her air conditioning blew. Nothing worse than seeing Gma sweat more than the tall glass of sweet tea in her hand.
Eager to deal with an hvac contractor in the heat (not), I called Peavey. But, thanks to the surprisingly friendly (and fast) techs, we were sipping that tea in Siberia in no time.

Another great repair job by the Peavey Brothers team. David helped us get running with a new capacitor last summer and warned me about needing a new contactor soon. Due to tight funds, I put off having the repair. Sure enough, the contactor failed when it came time for us to use the AC. They sent Joe out this year and he’s been awesome. Got the new contactor installed and checked the refrigerant charge.
These guys know what they are doing and are willing to take the time to walk you through your options so you can make the best decision. They stay up to date on the latest industry information through training and certification. It is so nice to have a reliable HVAC contractor we can call on and recommend to friends. We highly recommend them for all your HVAC and home performance needs!

Jason, David and the rest of the Peavey team did an outstanding job on the replacement of my HVAC system. I knew by the end of the price-​quote visit that this would be the company I’d use. They provided a thorough quote, great service during the project and were quick to address minor things they found post-​installation inspection. The level of service they provide can’t be matched by the huge HVAC companies out there. I hope to never have to replace this system again, but if I do, I’ll call Peavey!

The guys at Peavey A/​C & Heating, Inc are awesome and did an EXCELLENT job with fixing our AC problems. They are so professional and courteous and really made us feel at ease. Even before testing out their work, it passed the look test right off the bat. They fixed even little things I didn’t say anything about, and it looks so professional. Many thanks to Chris and Steve (I think those were the names… gotta check my paper work. I am so bad with remembering names). But they were extremely professional and very polite and my partner and I are 1000% happy. I don’t think we will ever go with another company. Oh, and side note; One Hour Heating and Air sucks! Do NOT go with them. They tried to charge us twice as much as Peavey and we would have paid it if they were not so unreliable. Why would it take 4 days to get a quote One Hour?! Whew, Just had to get that out. But Peavey Rocks!
