I took my class in May 2021 with Gary Lind. Due to some delays, only got to actually taking the test in October, but I passed on first try above target in all fields! Gary is a fantastic instructor, he explained all the topics in an engaging and interesting manner with a lot of examples. He also reviewed my application (which was also accepted on first try!) and really went above and beyond to make us all feel comfortable and confident. PMA also has a lot of additional materials available. The timed tests are a phenomenal way how to 1) get used to the style of the questions, 2) self assess and identify concrete topics you need to focus on, 3) actually get used to writing long exams and focus for four hours. they also offer additional tutoring every Friday for which you can sign up and submit questions - this is a great tool to get clarification on some topics you’re not too sure about.

I attended the PMP boot camp in Atlanta, GA, on 4 — 7 April, 2016, taught by Mrs. Shika Carter.
I initially took an on-​line PMP course through a nationally recognized college that lasted six months. In addition to that, I purchased several study guides in preparation for the PMP exam. My first attempt at the exam was a disaster! I cannot emphasize this enough; the Project Management Academy Boot Camp and the knowledge provided by Mrs. Carter is what enabled me to pass the exam on my second attempt. The PMP Exam is no joke! If you don’t understand the nuances of the test and have a thorough understanding of how to take the test, you just wasted your money. The PMA methodology is the best you’re going to find.

The PMP Boot Camp put on by Project Management Academy is top of the line. It was held in a comfortable environment and the instructor, Shika Carter, was excellent. The handouts were exactly what’s needed for preparing for the PMP certification exam. Shika was very knowledgeable not only about PMBOK, she gave excellent testing strategy. Her presentation promoted great retention of the information. The boot camp, combined with the PMA online prep tools are stellar. I sat for the exam and passed the very first time. Definitely recommend using PMA to help reach your PMP certification goal.

Great instructor, virtual training class and very helpful online practice tests. I wasn’t able to read PMBOK before the exam, but I had CAPM a long time ago. Gary Lind is a great instructor. I received the course materials before the class, took as many notes as I could while Gary was teaching the class during the first 3 days of the class, took the mock up exams and took notes while Gary was reviewing the test results. Took 2 practice exams, reviewed Gary’s notes ans suggestions. Sure enough I wasn’t surprised during the exam that I took couple days after the course and passed the exam. I highly recommend Gary, specially for virtual classes.

I took the virtual PMP boot camp last week of January –This was a great resource and I enjoyed the instruction. The instructor, Joe Drammissi, was very knowledgable and had great use of real scenarios. I passed the test without difficulty following PMA’s recommended strategies.

I took the PMP Boot Camp class 3 weeks ago and passed the PMP exam last week — first attempt. The boot camp was a great investment of time and money. I could not have passed the exam by just reading the PMBOK and studying on my own.
Gary Lind is an excellent instructor. He understands the PMBOK material thoroughly as well as the structure and nuances of the certification exam. The in-​class exercises and practice exam strongly reinforce the material that’s covered in the class. The online practice exams that are taken after the boot camp, in preparation for certification, are excellent preparation for the real thing. Don’t cut corners on the practice exams — you will need the experience to get through the certification.
Everyone I have dealt with at Project Management Academy are helpful and professional. I will use them again if the need arises.

Awesome 4 day boot camp! I passed my PMP in first attempt with just a couple days of study post class… Gary Lind is a phenomenal teacher… he teaches right the first time… I would certainly recommend the academy and Gary Lind for your training needs!

Project Management Academy is the #1 option to learning the PMBOK methodology and passing the exam. You’ll learn how to study and how to take the PMP exam. I can’t imagine sitting for the exam having only read the textbook. It’s the best investment you can make into a career in project management.

I had a great experience with Project Management Academy. I took the virtual 4 day class held over two weekends in January. The class was really choc full of content and by Sunday each weekend I was pretty fried. However, the class was well designed and the content was perfect for the test. PMA provided excellent training materials and their website was great for practice questions in preparation for the exam.
My instructor was Gary Lind. Gary was awesome! He kept the class lively relating his own personal work experiences as a project manager and was able to provide his personal examples to the 47 processes that PMI tests on. I really appreciated Gary’s candor about how difficult the test was going to be and his suggestions for memorizing the key concepts and processes. Another great thing about Gary is that he is available for questions and assistance after the class was completed. I emailed him several times asking for his input and he always responded promptly.
The best part about the class is that it is totally effective. I took the test the 2^nd week in February and PASSED on my first attempt. I highly recommend PMA for the prep class and if you’re fortunate to get Gary Lind as your instructor you’ll have it made!

This was absolutely top notch and exceeded my expectations. Both with the content covered and the instructor’s knowledge and personality. I cannot recommend Project Management Academy enough.
I attended the PMP Bootcamp Virtual Class held over two weekends in January 2015, tested the first week of February, and PASSED on my first attempt. My instructor was Gary Lind, and he did a most excellent job. He utilized his own personal experiences as examples, explained the content in an easy to understand/​applicable way, and described how it would be presented on the test. In addition to the content of the course, we were given Tips & Tricks on HOW to take the exam, what «gotcha’s» to look out for, and time management techniques.
The website itself was invaluable with the many study tools, practice exams, etc. they provide. The Q&A’s were a great way for me to study as they provided the reasons each answer was correct or incorrect. It really let me see the logic behind the question and what specific answer PMBOK was looking for.
Initially I was hesitant to take this course virtually, given there wasn’t any face-​to-​face interaction. You can’t see the instructor, you only hear them, and you don’t hear others you’re taking the class with either. But Gary did a great job of reading out loud everyone’s questions as they were submitted, which went a long way with helping alleviate any issues I had with it being a virtual course. I’m one of those people who enjoy learning from others, and the side-​talk you get when in an in-​person class was one of the things I was concerned about. But I can honestly say, this proved to be one of the best formats I’ve taken in my career.
