Just my luck, I love estate sales and auctions mostly for the value they offer. While driving down the road in Milton I passed an estate sale sign and did the all to often hazardous impulsive magnetic u-turn(talk about texting while driving being dangerous) I found myself at a sale run by Peachtree Bennett. Im use to sales where everythig has absurd prices then big markdowns to make them seem like a good deal. Not the case here they were very knowledgeable when I asked if the prices were negotiable i was directed towards Barry the owner. He gave me a very fair discount on two clocks I was interested in along with pointing out an issue with one. I also purchased a pair of upholstered armchairs. The main reason Im leaving this feedback is because while I was trying to get my neighbor to come over in his pickup Barry offered to have his guys drop them off at my house free of charge. When I asked to be put on a mailing list of his events he told me I should attend one of the monthly auctions. Well Ive got the bug so off to the Auction with my wife, we were totally amazed! The place was packed there was a quality of merchandise we did not expect to see. We arrived just shortly before the auction began and took advantage of what was a nicely presented free buffet(my wife gave the food 4 stars but upped it to five on value) I was interested in a couple of clocks and my wife fell in love with a pair of French sconces. As soon as the auction began you knew this was the real deal we attended a lot of auctions in the Chicago area before we moved here and this reminded me of them. The bidding pace was a little intimidating at first but easy to follow. Furniture seemed to be where there were some great buys.(wish we found it earlier) Well I ended up with two clocks at what I felt were great buys but the one I really wanted took off like a rocket and sold for almost $ 6,000 My wife got her sconces and loves them. The buyers premium is a bit of a hit but when I looked at other auctions it seems to be the standard. Pay by check the night of the sale is the best way to go to take advantage of a discounted buyers fee.

Attended an Estate sale by this company in Aiken, SC these people must think anybody outside of Atlanta is ignorant. Estate sale was loaded by the company with cheap reproductions and imports, horrible quality but priced near market for the genuine thing. Offered Hermes scarves at $ 200.00 a pop well they were used, stained and worst of all Big olé FAKES.

Likely the most greedy auctioneers in the Atlanta area. They have the gall to charge 18 to 23% buyers premium on top of the profit they make off of the seller. Really? 18% for live bids and 23% for online bids? I don’t care what you are selling, we are boycotting you until you stop ripping buyers off.
