About the gallery:
pb&j gallery is a contemporary, affordable art gallery for the emerging collector offering photography, painting, collage and sculpture. We are located at Kirkwood Station in Historic Kirkwood, Atlanta.
History
Established in 2009.
Forged from a long-standing friendship and a desire for broader creative expression than their corporate careers offered, three graphic designers took things to the next level when they founded pb&j in 2002,
Together, Peggy Dana, Bob Burkhardt and Jack Simonetta launched their second careers at local art venues and festivals. Award-winning photographers Bob Burkhardt and Peggy Dana capture images ranging from land and seascapes to floral and figurative. Jack Simonetta is an accomplished painter, collage artist and sculptor.
Having steadily built a loyal following, Bob Burkhardt and Jack Simonetta seized the opportunity to purchase a live/work space at Kirkwood Station where they opened the pb&j gallery in 2007.
The gallery not only represents Bob Burkhardt, Peggy Dana, and Jack Simonetta but features other local and national artists.
Keep your eye on pb&j gallery as this group of ambitious and exciting artists continue to bring Atlanta the best in new and creative fine art.
Meet the Business Owner
Bob B.
Business Owner
Bob Burkhardt is co-owner of pb&j gallery. Retired, from the corporate world two years ago, Bob manages the gallery full time. In addition to these duties he is also a photographer. His work reflects his interest in light, atmosphere and emotion. He strives for simplicity in his composition and he feels there is always an interesting photo waiting to be taken, his challenge is to see it.
With an interest in landscapes and seascapes, much of his work is shot in the Atlanta area and in Provincetown, MA. Some of his work is enhanced using digital filters to heighten the effect on color and contrast.
He recently has been pursuing portrait and figure photography and is available for hire. Contact him for rates and availability.
