One of the best barber shops I’ve been to. I used to live in Atlanta, and this was my go-​to spot. Now that I’ve moved away and return to Atlanta for business, I always try to get an appointment my first day in the city.
Michael and George are pros with clippers, scissors, and a straight razor. Beard, shaved head, or regular cut, these guys can do it all. A good cut takes time, so plan on spending an hour in the chair and possibly a few minutes more if things are running behind.
Prices are reasonable. Great value for the high quality you’re getting.
Appointments are a must. Parking is (mandatory) valet lot behind a row of shops.
Will def return and highly recommend.

After a couple of decades of standard Great Clips cuts, I finally followed my friends’ advice and tried out Nadines about 1.5 years ago. The difference that an extra 20 bucks and a quality stylist like Stacey (forgive my spelling if I butchered it) makes is amazing. After we moved to Sandy Springs, I attempted to get my hair cut at various other higher end places in the area and have found nothing nearly as good. I will now continue to gladly drive the 31 minutes down to see Stacey for my monthly appointment. Atmosphere here is awesome, you get a free beverage (red wine for me), nice conversation, and a stylist that takes time to understand what you like/don’t like and knows how to make you look good.

Being new to a city is intimidating. However, getting a haircut for the first time in a new city is death-​defyingly scary. Once I walked into this place I was calm as can be. The free valet was great (even though the attendant had a well behaved stray cat hanging out with them. I hate cats, yuck!). I had a haircut with Stacey, a tall hipster, self described kate hudson look, who has mad skills with her scissor cuts. I came in and told her exactly what I wanted in the vaguest of terms and left knowing that I will be back. Yes we didn’t have that much in common, she likes smokey dive bars, I prefer lounges and patios, but the cut was all that mattered. the straight razor use was an added bonus. I highly recommend her for men;s cuts. She understands what you want even if you don;t exactly know how to say what it is.

Okay, second attempt with Nadine’s. My visit was free after my experience last last time (which is reviewed here from 3÷11÷12). This one was really no better. It took the gentleman cutting my hair 45 minutes for a simple clipper cut, and there were still many, many individual hairs sticking up much longer than the rest. He also spent most of the haircut talking about all the sex he had, which I guess might be interesting for some, but not me. It was quite uncomfortable. I took some scissors and cleaned up the top of my head myself at home, it at least now looks consistent.
I mentioned the top was a bit wonky and he went over my entire head again, when I looked in the mirror it really was no better, and as I was not interested in staying any longer for uncomfortable talk and another 15 minutes of what would probably not be an improvement over the last two passes over my head. I just went ahead and left. Sadly I don’t think I could say this cut was worth it, even though it was free. The atmosphere is nice, and the people are friendly. The owner, Bobby, that I talked to after my last experience made sure to be present to greet me when I came (but was already gone when I left). I think Nadines & I were just not meant to be buddies. Hopefully others have better experiences here, it’s been a very disappointing two trips for me and I won’t be going back again.

I’ve been having my hair cut at another salon since moving to Atlanta back August, however, I just couldn’t bear the establishment anymore and made the move to Nadine’s this week. Wish I had been going there from the beginning. The salon itself is really cool and the staff is super.
Oscar greeted me when I walked in and was great (and very funny) and played awesome music. We laughed, we sang, and I got a great cut. Lashundra gave me an awesome haircut and fantastically proper relaxer. I HIGHLY recommend her and am so thankful I found her. I told her at the end of the appointment that she just got another regular client.

My second time getting a men’s haircut was today and I am super pleased with Nadines as a company, but most of all with my stylist Lynn Norman… Not only a great hair stylist but super cool person. I am not an easy haircut or maybe it is just me and all my banter while getting a haircut… anyway she ROCKS! The stylist next to her, which I apologize for not knowing his name… thank you for the use of your koozie that went with my awesome, freezing cold can of Miller High Life! Oscar works the floor, phones and yes was rocking the Mary J. Blige Concert tee was super pleasant and made appointment very easy. Totally recommend nadines triple crown and ask for Lynn!

I have been coming to Nadine’s for a little over a year now. And Michael has always done a good job cutting my difficult hair. I also sometimes over indulge myself in a straight razor shave. If you have never experienced one before you need to go see Michael.
As far as pricing goes very reasonable for a male haircut.
The only downer about this place is the parking. It’s street parking so do yourself and your schedule a favor and leave plenty of time to find parking in the ever busy virginia highlands.

Awful. I got a hot shave here and the guy nicked me 9 times. They might be decent at haircuts, but don’t let them near your face with a blade.

I like a place that provides a great haircut and a fun experience without the snooty factor. Nadine’s is just right– relaxed but nice atmoshphere, good perks (head massage, wash and post cut rinse) and great stylists. I go to Allison and she’s super– great with recommendations and listens to what you want. Never had better haircuts in Atlanta.

I have been going to Lexi since before the salon opened and hope to never have anyone else cut my hair. She knows exactly how I want it to look even if I don’t. I joke that I want to take her home with me so that I can have beautifully blown out hair everyday. It is a pleasure to spend (sometimes 3) hours in her chair, chit– chatting and sipping on wine. The rest of the staff at Nadine’s is as equally friendly and from casual observation, I have never seen anyone leave disappointed. I definitely recommend this salon to anyone who wants a relaxing experience while getting a great cut, color or shave (not that I’ve had one — but it looks cool)

This review is on Allison who is a stylist at Nadines. I’ve been to several different places in Atlanta for haircuts, including Van Michaels, Vidal, DASS salon, Korean salons, etc. I’m extremely picky when it comes to my hair. There have been times where I’ve visited 2 – 3 different salons in one week to get the cut that I want. Well, all of the multiple visits to the salons in the same week has been over since I’ve been seeing Allison. I’ve been going to her for approximately 3 years now for cuts and every cut has been the best cut I’ve ever had. My haircut is so amazing that even my guy friends notice my hair AND give me compliments. When does a guy ever notice a difference in a girl’s haircut? I’ve referred a few friends to Allison and they also have all said it’s the best haircut they’ve ever had. She’s truly the best.
What I appreciate the most about Allison is that she tells me the truth about what would and wouldn’t look good with my hair dependent on my hair texture, face shape, etc. I don’t know how she does it, but I always look and feel glamorous every time I leave Nadines. Also, my hair looks good even when I fix it myself because Allison teaches me the best and easiest way to fix my hair. She’s great at spending time with you to go over any questions you may have about your hair. Again, she’s the best! If you want your hair to look amazing then you definitely need to see Allison. She works hair miracles!

Reviewing from barber shop slant … George is a master for those who want the clean head… hot towel, straight edge blade and a hot cup of coffee made my guy’s first clean head shave a very satisfying afternoon.

Getting a hair cut in Atlanta these days seems like an exercise in the extremes, especially if you are a guy with hard to cut hair. You either have these two choices: Go to an expensive salon and get your hair cut by an increasingly expensive stylist (I love it when you go to pay and find out that Amber’s cuts have gone up to $ 45.00), or you can go to a myriad of chains and get your hair cut for about $ 20.00 and hope they don’t scalp you.
Nadine’s fits in a nice niche between these options. It’s a casual place with comfortable seating, complimentary beverages (would you like a Miller High Life while you wait?), and a personable staff. The treatment you receive is every bit as good as you would get at Van Michael, but for a bit less money.
My haircuts are as good as I’ve ever gotten, and the time spent there is always enjoyable. I’ve never had to wait more than a few minutes, and the place doesn’t smell like hair chemicals or anything annoying. Decent music rounds out the experiece.
Parking is tricky, so make your appointments at times when you might be able to find a spot. I’ve only been able to park in front once, and it was so enjoyable I left my car there for a few days…
My only complaint, and it isn’t a deal-​breaker, is that the pricing is more than I feel a guy should pay for a hair cut. That doesn’t mean I’m going to shop for a cheaper one, but I just wish I could find the perfect $ 20 hair cut. It’s kind of like looking for a great steak for $ 10, so I think I’ll save my energy.

I moved from New Orleans, and have been going to the same hairstylist since I was 13. Its hard for me to trust a hair stylist, my hair is my «pride». My mom had been to Nadine’s and suggested I go. So finally after 8 months I got the nerve to call and schedule my appointment. They put me with David, who was absolutly wonderful! He told me everything we were going to go with my hair before he did it, he listened to everything I wanted, etc. I did a light amberish red and I did in front bangs. My hair looks great! I love it! I have found my new stylist! YAY DAVID!

My usual salon is up in Roswell and my boyfriend has been trying to convince to go somewhere closer to our home. So Nadine’s it was because it’s literally 3 miles from our house. The day I got my hair cut I didn’t even have an appointment, I just walked in with no problem at all. First off, I love the décor of this place. It’s comfortable yet so stylish. I was handed over to David for my cut and style. Not only is he a fantastic stylist, I genuinely enjoying talking with him. He made me feel comfortable and we talked about everything from my career, the hair industry and even food and cooking. It was overall a very enjoyable experience. And I love my hair! I’m not picky at all about my hair (my last hair cut was by a friend and I wasn’t allowed to see what she was doing until she was done! It’s turned out amazing but it’s a situation that might deter others), but I was completely happy at how well David styled it. He also showed me how to achieve the same look at home with just a hair dryer, brush and some hairspray. That was a big change from having to purchase several different products and still never being able to re-​create it on my own. Plus, I have A LOT of thick hair and some stylists don’t really cut and style it well or know how to deal with it other than giving me a bunch of layers and trying to thin it out. But David didn’t cut that much off and still made it feel 10 times lighter, manageable and look fabulous! I love it!
Also, the price was great. $ 55 for a shampooing, cut, blow-​dry and style. In this shaky economy I definitely don’t want to be shelling out major bucks for my hair (I’m vain, but not THAT vain). I believe I received better service for less here than any other salon I’ve been to recently.
I truly wasn’t expecting much when I first came here, but I don’t think I’ll be going anywhere else from now on! Yay!

Modern take on the old fashioned barber shop, Nadine’s is neither snooty nor stuffy and they make you feel right at ease right away. Guess it helps to get that first High Life upon entry but still… very relaxed and yet still very professional. Having a beer while watching Smokey and the Bandit is really the only way to keep me still long enough to do anything with my mop as it is but Tanya is just the best and I can’t recommend this joint highly enough… is there a way to throw on a 6^th star in the rating?

Nadine’s is a great salon in the Virginia Highlands. They offer services for both men and women.
When you walk in for your appointment you will be offered a wide variety of beverages to choose from, including cold Miller High Life and wine. You will also notice the shop is a contemporary twist on the traditional barbershop. They also have TVs at every stylist’s station.
The stylist I have been going to there is Allison. She is very talented and also a great conversationalist. Having curly hair, I am very picky about who I let touch it. Allison has always taken time with it to make sure everything is cut perfectly.
