It had the most horrible experience and it is a first and last time I stay at Motel 6. After my first night in Motel 6, I woke up with a swollen eye. It looked very bad (I added a picture) and I called my doctor. She told me that is a spider bite and I got an allergic reaction. This issue really ruined my whole business trip. I complained to a front desk guy and shortly received a call from a building manager. I haven’t been in a situation like this and I didn’t know how hotels should resolve the problem, but his offer of 10% off was very insulting. I’m going to get all tests in hospital and contact a lawyer for advice.
Pros:
1. Close to downtown.
2. Free parking and Wi-​Fi
3. Clean and big room
4. Very friendly check-​in staff.
Cons:
1. Noisy heater and tiny blanket instead of a duvet.
2. Very loud ice machine down the hall. I could hear a creepy noise all nights.
3. Bugs and spiders issue.

Motel situé dans le downtown d’Atlanta, les chambres sont jolies car refaites à neuf et propres.
On peut tout faire le centre ville à pieds, notamment le World of Coca Cola qui est à dix minutes, c’est proche d’une sortie d’autoroute donc pratique quand on reprend la route.
Accueil sympathique, j’ai eu un prix via booking en réservant assez longtemps à l’avance sinon comptez 100 $ la nuit.
Parking gratuit en souterrain.

Stayed here for my birthday I didn’t personally try the food but from what I heard it was to die for! I stayed on the 4 th floor it was wonderful, newly renovated nothing but the best! Just wish there was a separate fridge for your personal food or drinks that you could use! Otherwise it was absolutely wonderful would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone!

Nous quittons aujourd’hui après y avoir y avoir passé 5 nuits à partir du 1er juillet.
Tarifs: Une affaire imbattable surtout si vous avec la carte AARP. La carte coûte 17 dollars US par année et nous avons payé $ 116.99 la nuit avant la taxe de 16% et un 5 dollars additionnel par nuit qui est une toute nouvelle taxe qui était nouvellement en vigueur que 4 jours avant notre arrivée. Le tarif régulier aurait été de $ 135.99 alors l’économie en vaut grandement le coup avec la carte AARP qui vous donne droit automatiquement à une réduction de 10% dans tous les motels 6.
Emplacement: 15 minutes de marche du manège de la grande roué du centre-​ville près du parc principale.
Stationnement: Un atout majeur pour Atlanta car il est gratuit et sous-​terrain en plus avec quelques places au rez-​de-​chaussée si vous le désirez. Il y a aussi deux places au niveau de la réception pour les personnes handicapées désirant s’y garer. Les stationnements d’hôtels même dans les grands hôtels coûtent 25 dollars par jour que Ben travaillant à la réception nous a confirmé. Une autre économie substantielle qui s’ajoute à celle du rabais AARP.
Chambre: Nous avons la chambre 221 non fumeur et il est interdit de fumer sur le balcon également. Le wifi y fonctionne de façon exceptionnelle comme je vois rarement dans les hôtels américains depuis quelques années et j’en ai tiré une grande satisfaction pour mes activités internet. Un très gros plus à ce niveau bravo! Nous avions un lit king très confortable avec 3 oreillers et une quatrième au besoin. La chambre selon nous est récemment rénovée avec son plancher flottant ainsi que pour les murs et plafonds. Le mobilier est très bien avec une chaise confortable et une lampe de bureau pour les activités wifi avec aussi une commode de 3 tiroirs.. Un fauteuil assez ancien peut être utile si vous désirez vous reposer en regardant la télévision. Le système d’aération fonctionnait au poil autant pour l’air froid que le chaud et n’était pas bruyant de surcroit. La télévision de marque Upstar est A-​1 avec environ 30 canaux. La porte de corridor se verrouillait de façon très sécuritaire ainsi que la porte du balcon. Les bruits venant du corridor sont assez perceptibles surtout si les gens y bavardent à haute voix et né retiennent pas les portes de chambres en les refermant. L’insonorisation pour les bruits dans les chambres avoisinantes est par contre très satisfaisante. La salle de bain est correcte mais le jet de la douche pourrait être franchement amélioré.
Service aux chambres: Un gros manqué à ce niveau. Le ménage est vite fait en surface. La baignoire fut nettoyée sur notre demande seulement sinon vous prenez votre douche dans votre crasse de la veille ce qui est un point négatif. Les draps n’ont été changés qu’une seule fois en 5 jours selon mon épouse ce qui pourrait être nettement amélioré au point de vue hygièné. Les deux planchers soit celui de la chambre et de la salle de bain né sont pas nettoyés. Alors assurez-​vous de l’exiger à la réception si pour vous c’est important. Heureusement que la chambre est belle et confortable et sûrement récemment rénovée car ce point de vue passé mieux en apparence sans toutefois faire disparaître la poussière par enchantement.
Réception et accueil: Ben nous a accueillit très convenablement à notre arrivée. Nous saluons amicalement Otha qui est d’une rare amabilité et qui parle très bien français en plus. Nous avons très apprécié de gars qui a su nous accueillir de façon exceptionnel. Il nous a même approchés dans le centre-​ville pour venir nous saluer sans que nous né l’ayons vu. Salut Otha et merci pour tout ! Il y a un gars de la réception pour tout. Un gars de la réception nous a grandement déplu avec son visage de plomb et son manqué flagrant d’éthique professionnel qui nous laissant savoir clairement qu’il n’aimait pas le monde et encore moins se faire déranger par des questions pour les besoins des clients. Mon épouse a eu droit à son manqué de délicatesse quand elle devait faire réactiver sa clé pour entrer dans l’hôtel alors qu’elle fumait dehors et qu’elle avait besoin de sa clé pour ensuite entrer à l’intérieur. Il maugréait aussi car il a dû faire beaucoup de café pour la clientèle qui en raffolait durant notre séjour. Ce gars aurait intérêt à recevoir une formation pour apprendre à être souriant et aimable pour les clients. Il se nomme Ken pour votre information. Tant qu’à Jay, il a eu une belle attitude quand nous avons remis les clés à notre départ. On vous confirme qu’il n’y a plus de piscine depuis environ 5 ans et plus aucune trace de cette dernière également. Ceci est pour dissiper toute confusion possible su vous lisez des avis qui ont de la date.
Nous sommes satisfaits de notre séjour pour les besoins que nous avions et aussi selon notre budget et recommandons cet hôtel sans hésitation.

I stayed here for one night while on a business trip. You can beat the price and the location. The free parking is like a $ 20 bonus. I arrived late and Ben welcomed me and got me checked in quickly.
My room was clean and had everything I needed. When I walked in, there was the faint scent of smoke. Once inside the room, I didn’t really notice it.
I would stay here again.

Very friendly and informative guy at the front desk. Free parking, make sure to factor that into the already low price for downtown. Rooms very clean, good location. Will definitely stay again if/​when I visit Atlanta.

I had a great stay here for four nights for the American society for neurochemistry conference. The service was excellent and everything was clean and the basic amenities were there, notably the bathroom being nice. I was even upgraded to having a balcony. The neighbors were loud only a few times and overall did not affect my experience. Good place for the price !

Das Motel besticht durch die zentral gelegene Lage und den kostenfreien Parkplatz, was nicht selbstverständlich ist für Atlanta. Für zwei Tage zum schlafen war es o.k. mehr aber auch nicht. Zimmer war recht ordentlich und sauber. Ich hatte es mir schlimmer vorgestellt. Personal war auch freundlich, nett und hilfsbereit. Allerdings keinen Safe und die Tür fand ich auch nicht die sicherste.
Für einen Kurztripp ohne Schnörkel in Ordnung.

For those interested in reading the bare basics of a review, I welcome you to skim to the bottom to the ”Pros and Cons” of this review. Otherwise, details of my recent stay is as follows:
I cannot say with what I’ve read in the past reviews of this place I expected what most hotels offer as far as quirks, luxuries, and perks. I can’t say I recommend it in the least. Although this establishment has free wi-​fi, comfortable beds, and free coffee I really feel it lacks in what is most important in any hotel business; customer care and service from the hotel staff.
To keep it short, advanced reservation for a room had been made over a year ago for a weekend stay at the beginning of this month. Whether it was due to a language barrier or just some misunderstanding, it took calling the hotel itself back and then calling Customer Service of the company to drop a night from a 5-​night to a 4-​night. There was some confusion on the ”event rate” that required a minimum of a 4-​night stay. In this case there should not have been a problem.
Regardless of numerous calls and clarity, the stay was made for only 3-​nights. Which was an inconvenience as the room was being split with other people that were from out of town and were on staff at a local event.
Upon waking the third morning, we were confronted by the hotel staff and asked to leave. I went downstairs to straighten everything out. We ended up having to pay an extra night. Despite my attempts to try to work with the staff, the man at the front desk Outha (sp?) was rather rude. I can’t say I had the most pleased expression or demeanor but this was understandable. His remarks such as ”Why is this such a crazy question?” (regarding if I wanted to add another night) and ”Are you sure you want to stay an extra night? Because you don’t look happy.” were not very much appreciated.
The upgrade of the hotel is gorgeous, the beds are very comfortable, and this locations is close to a major street in the Atlanta area with much to do. I can’t say it is worth the stay working with individuals that can be disrespectful and unorganized. At least from my own experience. Also, for those that plan to reserve ahead of time, keep in mind only one parking space per hotel room. They are rather strict on this for understandable reasons. We just found it something that could have been explained when reserving.
– Pros: Comfortable beds. Nicely painted hallways. Cable. Free coffee. Free parking for customers. Fantastic air-​conditioning. Allows (caged) pets.
– Cons: Language barriers and general communication issues, only one parking spot per room (which is not explained until one arrives at the hotel), Hotel keys tend to deactivate rather easily. One must take all keys to front desk to have just one re-​activated. Barred off windows over-​looking balconies.

Immaculate and functional. From what I could see that weekend, the front desk crew consisted of two gentlemen who were just that… very nice, articulate, and truly willing to help. I only saw one housekeeper, but our room was white glove clean. Not luxurious, but had everything we needed. There was a fresh coat of paint, new hardwood floors, not carpet (a plus in any hotel) and everything else looked pretty new and especially clean. If you are looking for luxury don’t stay here. But if you need a good room at a great price with a super courteous, helpful staff then this is the place for you!

Come twice a year for Market and will be staying here from here on out. Location to market can’t be beat. Rooms were perfectly fine, slept like a rock, bathrooms were clean, had plenty of space and even a patio. Outside looks a bit sketchy but never once felt unsafe. Ben at the front desk was absolutely AMAZING! Nicest man ever. We booked early and got incredible rates. If you are coming for Market… Save the money stay here.

If an establishment will not support our military then I can look for somewhere else to stay.
Shame on you motel 6.

I decided to stay here when we drove down to see Kings of Leon (perfection by the way). The price was a LOT cheaper than anywhere else and they have free parking.
The bed was comfy and the décor in the room had been updated. The gentleman at the counter during check-​in was very nice.
They charged my card $ 20 extra which I never figured out and the guy at the desk when we checked out told me I was lying and turned his back.
The motel is OLD and it shows. They were doing remodeling while we were there. That’s fine, but it was a bit dangerous… see pictures. The area is a bit dirty. Our balcony had a terrific view of the nasty parking lot next door.
Overall I wouldn’t stay there again. For $ 100 I just want more basic safety and better customer service.

Management at this hotel on 1÷28÷14 and 1÷29÷14 would not allow stranded motorists to warm up in their parking lot, even though the city was in a declared State of Emergency, and the motorists had been stranded for over 11 hours in below-​freezing weather. When asked via telephone to please allow the motorists to use the parking lot, the manager or owner yelled that it was private property and hung up.

Pretty nice looking place. Not one of the cheaper places in the area. The rooms are clean and the service is friendly but you can find just as good a place in the same area for a lower price. Also, be careful for the Crack heads down the street.

This is a motel 6, so this review is based on motel 6 standards. The hotel staff were wonderful, and thankfully allowed me very early check in. The rooms were clean and comfortable. Small bars of soap, no shampoo or blow dryer. I am OK with that since it isn‘t the Hyatt. It was very close to the conference hotels and seemed safe. Towels were a step above sand paper, but at the decent cost if this hotel so close to everything, it was fine. I would definitely stay here again, especially if my travel budget is low. I appreciate a clean and comfortable hotel/​motel at a lower cost. Oh, and free, fast Wi-​Fi. The Hyatt charges $ 10 a day for it!

When you go to a Motel 6, you pretty much know exactly what you’re going to get. And you get what you pay for; not much, but just enough.
The room was fairly large and clean. It was also old and banged up, but everything still worked. The towels are hard and the soap was dry, but you’ll make it through the night and be on your way.
Plus, they have free parking for one car per room.

This review is basing the Motel 6 on staying there during the madness of Dragon*Con week. I am aware it may not deserve 4 stars during normal times of the year, but during Con, I think it does.
First, it isn’t an official Con Hotel, yet it is about 100 yards from both the Hilton and Marriott. It is close enough to not even blink your eye about any walk, but is somehow far enough away where the crowds don’t get to you. Compared to other Official Con hotels which are miles away!
Basically, this is like my ‘base’ for the convention. I can come here to clean up, nap, drop off purchases, and just escape the madness for a bit. The rooms have WiFi, and some have fridges and microwaves. And you get a parking pass! These 4 items at the Hilton next door would add almost $ 100 a night to your stay! It really is a no brainer. It isn’t like you are going to spend much time in the room, anyway.
As for the room itself, it was a standard Motel room. Beds were average, but not uncomfortable, and it had plenty of space for your luggage. We did have an issue with the shower head, but it was tended to promptly. Not the nicest appearing room, but things were clean and functional.
The customer service was outstanding. Any request we had was immediately tended to. They also let you reserve a year in advance without having to use a credit card. These rooms are cheaper than the host hotels by a little bit, plus factor in all the added perks. Even if I was at a different type of convention at Peachtree Center, I would definitely consider this location.

I was here for business. I will say this upfront: I’m not really a motel person. In fact, the word «motel» is kind of a turn-​off. I’ll admit to that bit of snobbery. So there’s that.
I was alerted to this hotel by a work colleague of mine who had stayed here during his last trip to Georgia and raved about it. He didn’t let me down. The service was impeccable — the man at the front desk remembered my colleague and made sure I was taken care of. He alone would make me want to book another stay here. The room, while not the most impressive thing in the world, was clean and servicable. And cheap. Let’s not forget cheap. Even with my «splurge» on a kitchenette, the price couldn’t be beat. There’s even free parking and wifi!
While this place is basic in its amenities, it is very close to Downtown, so you’re in walking distance to a lot of great places to eat. I was within a few miles of several major college campuses, a plus for my job. If you want to hang out in a fancy lobby, there’s always the Marriott Atlanta down the street.
While this has nothing to do with the motel itself, I’ll also say that all of the tenants here seem to be very friendly as well, so that’s a plus too.
No, you won’t be blown away by the fanciness. But if you want great service and a decent room at a great price, don’t overlook the humble Motel 6.

Great spot if you have pets and need to get a hotel. Not a lot of bells and whistles but clean and a safe choice. One of the best features is the free parking. Also call instead of booking online because there are some different specials they offer. For $ 70 a night you really can’t complain too much though.

For a Motel 6, this experience was pretty good.
The room was everything you’d expect. We did not notice any bug infestations.
The staff is extremely friendly – excellent customer service.
Great location in downtown Atlanta.
The pool was full of nasty things so obviously you couldn’t swim in it, but who would ever swim at a Motel 6 anyway?
