The first time I tried Mirko Pasta was at the location in Buford. I’m not sure if it’s still there, but my first time there was amazing. If you’re new to Mirko Pasta, this place has really good egg or spinach pastas ranging from short, long, to ravioli pastas. Typically, they will bring out the different types of pastas on a display pan. When you order, you choose your pasta, sauce, and meats/seafood. Pasta and sauce $ 6/ea., and extras ranging from $ 5-$ 10, depending on what and how much you order. Your total for your entrée will typically be around $ 20-$ 25 per person. I always get Egg or Spinach tagliolini or tagliotelle, pesto sauce, and shrimp. I think it is so yummy. I brought three other friends here for the first time, and two of them got ravioli. Their ravioli’s were undercooked/hard, so they remade it for them. This took a really long time, and me and another friend wanted to wait til their food came, so our food got cold. They got their orders, and one said it was slightly better, while the other said it was the same. Sorry guys. I’ve never gotten their ravioli’s so I didn’t know. Anyway, this place has many other combinations if you don’t want to «make your own pasta.» They have a lot of salads, and they have gluten free options for pasta as well! Oh, I forgot to mention that they also have complimentary bread that comes out with a bean/olive oil sauce. Tasty, but not as good as I remember from the one in Buford. Service was good. Our server was new, but she was friendly and pretty attentive. After paying, two of my friends had already headed out the door, while another friend and I were headed out the door. The manager stopped us and offered the two friends who had gotten undercooked ravioli a free dessert(Tiramisu). It was nice of him to offer them a dessert to compensate for their undercooked pasta. Service overall was good, and my food was delicious. The only downside would be the number of pieces of shrimp in the pasta(~4−5 pieces). I come here every now and then when I’m craving pesto pasta.

We’ve been here a few times and the manager is nice and the food usually tastes good and fresh. The waiters we had before this visit were good. The waiter on this particular visit was terrible and he seemed to hate kids. This time we went, we had a waiter who was snobby, sarcastic, a jerk, and acted like he didn’t like kids. He looked down upon us with a facial expression like we stunk. Everything we did with our child he gave this snobby, side-eye stare, like he was saying… what in the world you alll doing and I really don’t want to wait on you all. When you eat out with a toddler, it’s not the most graceful event. So you hate when people just stare at you with a snobbish frown while you’re trying to persuade your toddler to finish their meal or trying to clean up the peas they decided to put on the table instead of in their mouths. We went ahead and ordered for our toddler first while then looked over the menu and decided what we want. The waiter didn’t hesitate to give a judgemental frown at our tactics. We explained why we ordered for our child first. In a sarcastic, snobbish way, he responded… I understand, but ahh… I don’t understand. Then he slightly rolled his eyes and walked off. His face epression looked like he was a snob looking down upon us. He’d also look over to our child like he had never seen a toddler before. When he came back, I said I take it that you don’t have kids. He responded in his(I’m better than you, snobbish attitude) Ahhhh… take it… that you’re right. His snobby facial expressions, and snobby way of talking, side eye stares combined with frowns at my little one was really getting on my nerves. He barely came back to see if we needed anything. We needed alot, including silverware to eat. He acted like he didn’t want to be bothered. He brought our food and quickly left. We were sitting there for the longest without utensils. I told him he didn’t bring us any silverware so I grabbed one off the table next to us. He responded in a sarcastic way… that’s what I was going to do anyway. He just stood there and stared. We needed more and he didn’t get it. I had to go to the table next to us and grab more. When we got home, our whole family had the runs. We all got sick. This was the first time we all got sick after eatting here. We’ve eaten here many times before and had not gotten sick. When I returned for a to go order on a different day(few weeks later). I saw him and said I think you waited on us before. He responded in his usual snobby(I don’t like kids manner) with the sarcastic, frowny facial expression like something stinks… you were the ones who put that Mickey Mouse kids place mat on the table. Of all things, this is what he «says» he remembers us by… the«Kid stuff» the place mat(along with is sarcastic, snobby tone). It shows anything to do with kids he seems to not like. I told the manager, but at the time, the manager was very busy. At first he thought I was talking about someone else then I explained who it was. The manager then told me in a lively voice to tell him something good. I don’t mean to complain. But that waiter was a snob and seems to look down upon people who has kids. The waiter was a very tall caucasian, male. He looked like he was between 26 and 32 years old. I’m not predjuduce. I just don’t remember his name and wanted to describe him. I don’t want any other customers with kids to have their dinner ruined by this arrogant, judgmental, snobby, sarcastic prick. Maybe, they’ll get the opportunity to ask for someone else early on, before their dinner experience is completely ruined by this guy.

Really relaxed environment, aesthetically pleasing, exposed beams, fireplace, a really great mix of contemporary and rustic décor. Great selection of pastas(spinach pasta, wheat, etc.) and sauces. Really affordable! Just loved it overall! Loved the bread they give you before your meal comes and the bean paste dip to dip the bread! Really good!

Mirko is smart. He figured out how to expand and franchise. Don’t hold it against him because this original location has the best execution of them all. Arguably, pure and authentic. Fresh Fresh Fresh. Everything Fresh. Everything freshly prepared. Vegetarians and old school Italian lovers must try the Eggplant appetizer. Salads are perfect every time. Great vibe and atmosphere. Great for date night. Nice lunch menu. These guys excel at service. Coolest IHOP ever!

My husband and I just had dinner here and it was perfect! We started with the Carpaccio — delicious! I had one of the specials: Chicken and mushroom risotto and my husband created his own pasta: fettuccini with bolognese mixed with pesto. Both meals were incredibly good! His pasta was perfectly cooked and on point! We will defining come back to try something new!

I’ve been here three or four times and I’m a fan. What I love most about this place is that you can mix and match your pasta and sauce — basically a customized order every time. The wine selection is robust enough that everyone can find something they enjoy, and their desserts are incredible. The service has been great every time I’ve been. Really a great place.

Great fresh Italian food! You’ll find them in what appears to be an old IHOP building. They have their own parking lot. Not a huge place, but great for our group who have eaten dinner there a couple of times. Most recently a party of 10. Pick your pasta, pick your sauce. Our favorites are the pomodoro, bolognese, alfredo. The chicken parm, eggplant and steak were fantastic. Prices are reasonable. Wait staff are all great. It’s our go to place now especially when family comes to town.

My husband and I had lunch here and I’m so upset we didn’t try Mirko before today! The atmosphere is so warm and inviting. The space is just homey and cozy. I can’t wait to eat on the patio. The food was just incredible but I want to make some honorable mentions. My husband’s chicken parm was PERFECT; the blueberry cheesecake was the best cheesecake I’ve ever had; DONOTLEAVEWITHOUTTRYINGTHEBRUSSELSPROUTS! We will definitely be back for dinner! PS-the service was spot on also

I revisited Mirko on Roswell Rd. with friends last night and I am so happy that I did! My last visit was a couple years ago and I think I unfairly misjudged them. We had a large group last night and our server Carlos and the manager were spot on and very gracious. They took very good care of us even though it was a full house. I also apologized to the manager for my not so flattering review a couple years ago. The food was excellent and such a fun atmosphere! Perfect way to end the week.

We come here for one specific dish, fettuccine Alfredo. Their pasta is truly special. I have been to other restaurants claiming to make their pasta fresh in-house but never found it to be this unique. I have also had the Gouda stuffed ravioli, but with the Alfredo sauce, and it is yummy too. My next favorite item is the fried brussel sprouts. I am not a veggie person but I sure enjoy the sprouts. My wife orders a side of broccoli that looks like it should be used for menu photos it’s so well prepared. And it’s good, not because it’s covered with cheese and butter, because it’s cooked so well and is obviously fresh and high quality. Last, I enjoy my time here because it is always peaceful… and most of the time, at least as long as I have had my drink refilled recently, I am an optimist. And that’s an inside joke for Mirko diners.

I was so pleasantly surprised. I was passing by Mirko’s east Cobb location for years thinking that it’s a fast food place. Everybody in the neighborhood was talking about how they made it into tradition to go there there once a week the whole family for dinner. So finally one day I decided to give it a try, I went into the Buckhead location one. It was this cute little place, it felt like I’m eating in my dining room food made by the best Italian chefs! I’m there now at least twice a week and I wish I went in sooner

I was surprised by how good Mirko’s is. This is a pasta place where you choose what type of pasta then what type of sauce. A few weeks ago I had penne with arrabbiata sauce. Nonna had gnocchi. This past weekend we started with an appetizer of melanzane(eggplant) that was absolutely terrific, followed by skirt steak(it didn’t need the cheese) accompanied by spinach(good) and Brussels sprouts(excellent). We finished up with an five star chocolate mousse. The mousse was worth driving across town for. The service is personal. You want something changed or substituted? No problem. The portions are huge. Unless you are a teenager, each disk is large enough to split. Most of the diners were leaving with food they couldn’t finish packed to go. For what is essentially a neighborhood Italian place, Mirko’s is remarkably good.

I can’t even begin to explain… my taste buds were rocked out of this world. I’ve been here twice and ordered lamb the first visit and fettuccine the second visit. It was excellent. The pasta is homemade and the sauces are paired nicely with the pasta. The environment is a great casual atmosphere for a date night, family time, or a girls night out. They have so many options to choose from. I would come here again

I went to Mirko pasta for the first time last week and had an awesome experience. I’m really Into pasta so learning that all of there pastas are made daily and cut at the moment the order is placed fascinates me. The service was perfect and our waitress was very knowledgeable on the wine choices as well as offered and recommended that we try samples. My friends and I went on a Monday night we also learned that they bottles of wine are half off. I’m giving Mirko pasta 5 stars because the food was good service awesome most importantly the food was priced very well not to expensive. So I’ll definitely return.

Visited Mirko/Buckhead recently(1st visit) at the suggestion of a friend who loves the place. Walked in, much nicer & trendier inside & outside(porch) than looks from the street. Service was good & friendly considering a late lunch and barely anyone there. Agreed with other reviewers that the food is subpar/ok(meh) at best. Went in thinking would get the ravioli, which sounded tasty. However, the $ 9 lunch combo containing Panini sandwich, soup & salad was the best deal so friend & I both got the combo. Despite the good lunch price, the food was overall bland and the minestrone soup was basically tasteless. Campbell’s Soup version is better than Mirko’s version! Spinach salad w/goat cheese was good(tho a bit too sweet & heavy on the dressing). Chicken Panini’s bread was waaaay too thick, could barely bite the crust it was so thick & crispy/hard, and the chicken inside the Panini was flat & «ho hum» at best. Am very much debating whether would be worth it to give Mirko’s 1 more try to try the yummy-looking lasagna or ravioli(photos look nice at least). Anyone for/against the lasagna/ravioli ? PS: If this place is truly a Figo-related chain, by all means go to Figo any day! I’ve been to Figo many times over the years and it has always been consistently delish(unlike Mirko’s the 1 time I visited there). PSS: Agreed w/other reviewer that the soup & sandwich both also came out lukewarm(not hot at all)! … in addition to the food being mediocre at best. Save your $$ and appetite and go elsewhere for sure.

Pleasant service. Nice outdoor patio. Subpar food. We tried Mirko on a Friday evening. The place was packed, making it seem like a good choice. We got a table outside. The hostess and waiter were super-nice. I’m starting to think this might be a great choice. The food was a real let-down. The spinach and artichoke dip was watery and served with stale, chewy bread. The chicken Marsala had a strange aftertaste. Perhaps the chef just had a bad night. We aren’t likely to find out, as there are really good Italian restaurants nearby.

Fresh made pastas are the best! On Thursdays they have the best sangria, not only because it’s just a dollar, it tastes fantastic. Food is consistent and the service is great!

Gross!!! I’ve been here several times, one of my vendors at works likes this place so I go with him. Every single time, we wait forever for a drink and then when your food comes out, it’s always COLD! It’s pretty much flavorless as well. They should regroup and revamp their menu to offer more feasible options since they can’t manage to get the current ones out of the kitchen successfully. I’m sure that I’ll be back… Sigh… I hope I eat a big breakfast at home that day!!!

I had a good experience here today. We came at a really off time for eating(4pm-ish) so it was slow and we probably got better than average service, but that aside… Food 4⁄5 — Bread was warm and soft. I didn’t care for the messy oil hummus mixture. I think they would do well by putting a small oil and vinegar set out on each table instead for those who want it. Spinach salad was awesome. Full size is big enough to split between two or for a full meal. Additionally I ordered the spinach pasta with the salmon sauce. It was a great choice, though rich. I could only finish half and had to go for a long walk after! Service 5⁄5 — On point all day, quickly brought drinks, took orders, checked on us etc. Atmosphere 3⁄5 — The inside seemed nice but we opted for the patio on such a pretty day. Unfortunately the patio sits right on a very busy road. It would be really cool to put up some ivy or some kind of bushes around the fence facing the road so that while you hear them, you aren’t actually viewing the cars passing by. Just a thought. Overall I would come back. Good spot. I enjoyed it better than Figo if that is the comparison people are drawing. I think this restaurant has a great deal more variety on the menu.

Our brunch party gave up on the long Buttermilk Kitchen waiting time and trotted over to Mirko, next door. Initially, I was impressed with the fancy ambiance and sit-down style, which is not what you would find at a typical Mirko. But the upscale characteristics ended there. Our party ordered pasta + these sauces: Bolognese, Carbonara, Granchio(crab), San Remo, and Salmon. San Remo was by far the best sauce. I highly recommend it. It’s the only reason I’m offering up 2 stars for this review. I always thought Mirko was supposed to be better than FIGO. But I was wrong, based on some comparisons. Just some tips for improvement and I would be a happy camper: — The bread was cold, not fresh. — The bean dipping sauce didn’t go well with bread. So we asked for the typical olive oil with salt + pepper. — The salt + pepper did not come from a fancy grinder, like at FIGO. We had to do it ourselves. — The Parmesan cheese came from a bowl of Parmesan chunks vs. freshly grated Parmesan(again, like at FIGO). — We expected a quick lunch, but it took 1.5 hours. 30 minutes probably spent on the payment process.(note: they weren’t that busy…) But that San Remo sauce was delicious.
