Minute Suites

When you take a red eye flight and have a long layover, what’s the one single thing you want to do??! Put your feet up! This place lets you stretch out and sleep!
The rooms are small with great white noise, temp and lighting controls. There is a small-​ish sofa that you can easily lay flat. The pillow and blanket have a strong chemical smell but once you close your eyes and drift off, it doesn’t matter any more. It isn’t cheap, but how can you put a price on comfort?
I wish I could stay longer…
Tip — make a reservation if you KNOW you’ll be there and KNOW you want a room. I was outta luck one Monday morning at about 5:15 am when all the rooms were full and all I wanted was a 90 minute nap!
I already have a reservation for my trip next week… Such a nice treat@!

I can’t. This place is amazing — can someone tell me why these aren’t at every airport??? I was super early for my flight (4 hours) and I had had a beer and was looking for a nice corner in which I could exert a death grip on my belongings while I took a nap.
Enter Minute Suites. There was a gentleman before me asking the desk attendant 20 questions before saying that the price was way too expensive so I was nervous about the price. It’s $ 38/​hr. As a New Yorker, that’s a STEAL — I’ve paid $ 38 for Seamless takeout so this is nothing. The desk attendant escorted me to a room (they all have city names) and heaven ensued.
The room has a leather loveseat, blanket, monitor and keyboard, wifi, and snacks in a sound-​proof room. As soon as the door closed, it felt like I was in a hotel and not outside of the gate to my flight. The snacks are additional but are awesome if you are peckish, which I usually am between a beer and a flight. There was an alarm clock available but you could also ask the attendant to wake you as well. I was refreshed about my hour nap and got on my flight without being a mega crazy person due to lack of sleep.

Would have been great but about 45 mins into my 90 minute stay I had people bring their kids into the room next to mine. Kids where yelling and then TV came on super loud. I’m generally very easy going but the whole point of these things is for quiet rest. When I mentioned to the girl at the desk she just looked at me like I was crazy and tried to tell me they just arrived ‘5 minutes ago’. No apology, didn’t care. Won’t stay again.

Stopped in on a 4 hour layover. I made a reservation the night before for a two hour stay and boy was it worth it. Little on the pricy side $ 82.42 after tax for two hour stay. I’d certainly use it again when I’m making a connection.

The Minute Suites cubicle made me feel safe, and provided just what I needed after a delay-​ridden day. Never good to be stuck, but Tiffany is great. Whydidn’t anybody think of this before? And it’s really clean.

Really nice for long layovers, not cheap though! They have netflix, ambient noises, lovely!!!

Time went by too fast, but well worth the money for an hour. It was cozy, clean and quiet. The gal at the service desk was also great.

AWESOME! When you have a red-​eye and a long layover this place is AWESOME. Make a reservation though, because when we got there they were full, but we got lucky and a room opened up fairly quickly

This is a great oasis in the middle of the world’s busiest airports.
First off, I would give this place 5 starts based on concept and execution of the rooms. Each day room has a couch that slides out to a bed, maybe a little larger than a standard twin size bed area. A small work desk, computer/​TV combo with access to netflix and hulu, noise cancelling white noise generator, and individual thermostat all make for a really nice getaway if you have a long layover and can’t take the crowds or if you need a quiet place to work and the Skyclubs are a zoo as usual.
Unfortunately, the price can be restrictive and so Minute Suites loses a star in my book. $ 60 ($ 51 + taxes) for 90 minutes is a bit steep when you can get a room at a standard hotel for an entire night for not much more than that. Granted, it’s a fairly captive audience and they’re charging what people are willing to pay. Personally, I’d use this place more frequently if the cost ran closer to $ 25/​hr instead of $ 40/​hr. As it is, I only use Minute Suites when I need to get some work done or for a conference call.
The other issue is that all suites were not built the same in terms of quiet and solitude. The Atlanta suite is right off the terminal hallway and directly across from the rental desk. Even with the white noise generator turned all the way up, and TV on for background noise, airport announcements and people talking at the rental desk are clearly audible. The other suites I’ve stayed in down the hall away from the terminal are MUCH quieter. If you have a choice, take the Atlanta suite only as a last resort! This place is more like a 2 star than 4 star if you’re stuck in that particular suite. Perhaps they should offer that room at a discount.

Awesome little concept– I wish one of these was available in every airport!
For those unfortunate enough to have to take a redeye with a longer layover, this is a godsend. Since we were dealing with jetlag and an extra 2 hours before our flight, we tried in vain to find some open spots in the Delta lounge to take a nap. At 7 in the morning, everything was jam packed and noisy.
I blearily looked up «pod hotel Atlanta» and found Minute Suites in the next terminal, an easy tram ride to an adjacent concourse. Their website showed 3 rooms available, and check-​in was friendly and quick. It was $ 36 dollars an hour plus extra time was available in 15 minute increments. A small price to pay for an oasis of peace, calm, and privacy!
My husband and I were able to share a room, where the sofa was just large enough to accommodate two people– about the size of a twin bed. You get a pillow with a disposable pillowcase and a medium weight quilted blanket. There is also a tv, small desk, mirror, dimming lights, and a white noise generator, which masks the noise of the terminal pretty effectively.
For a quick and easy rest, I highly recommend this place!

So thankful they have this… wish there was one in every terminal but I’ll walk to B when ever I can. Don’t be afraid to ask for a second blanket.

I had a late night function in Atlanta and an early morning flight the next day, so I only had about 4 hours to kill in the interim. I checked and was amazed to see that Minute Suites existed. At $ 32/​hour (with a 15% discount for 4 hours or more plus tax I believe), I thought it was a little pricey, but I reserved a week ahead. The day before, I went online to confirm my reservation and I saw that they had raised prices to $ 34/​hour. I was sure they would honor my reserved price, but called to be sure. I WAS WRONG! They said I would have to pay the higher price. What kind of business does that? I cancelled and I’m sure I’ll never utilize the company again in any location — not with a business ethics model like that.

This company has a concept that’s unique and very long overdue in my opinion.
There’s nothing worse than arriving at an airport, knowing you have a layover of several hours and sitting there in misery because all you really, really want to do is to take a nap and catch up on lost sleep during your travel, or refresh yourself before the next leg of your journey.
Enter Minute Suites, which are now available here at Atlanta airport, and also at Philadelphia airport. The one here at ATL has 6 «suites». each of which contains a sofa/​daybed, TV, desk, and WiFi. The rates as of this review are $ 32.00 for the first hour, then $ 8.00 for each additional 15 minutes. If you wish to stay overnight (considered 11 p.m. — 7 a.m. in this company’s rate card), the cost is $ 120.
You can come here if you want a quiet and private place to get work done, or to take a power nap, and the rates are much cheaper than the $ 50 it’ll usually cost you for a day pass to enter one of the airlines’ private clubs (which offer WiFi, but not always a private place to get work done, and definitely not a dedicated place to nap).
If only this type of facility was available at more airports! I can recall a number of times when I’d have happily forked over the $ 30 to get an hours’ worth of downtime during a long and grueling day of travel. One thing that might make this facility better would be to have at least a small sink in the «suite» where one can wash the drool off their face after a nice nap.

Great place to get some privacy and work done when passing through B concourse in ATL

Sometimes you run across something so neat, you want to tell the world. Sometimes you run across something so cool, you want to keep it as a secret for yourself. I’m right in the middle with Minute Suites.
I had read about this place while clicking around on the internet and considered stopping in a couple of months ago when I had a 3.5 hour layover in Atlanta. I thought maybe the price was too steep, so I went to the Delta Lounge instead. *blech* A couple of days ago, I had about 2-​hours to kill at the ATL. I could either wander around, try Delta again, or pony up the $$ for Minute Suites and take a nap. I opted for Minute Suites.
I approached the counter and worried that there wouldn’t be any space available since it looked pretty small. Not to worry, I guess there isn’t much need for a nap room in the middle of the afternoon for most people? I prepaid for 1.5 hours (around $ 52) and was shown to a small room with a sofa that doubles as a bed, a desk and chair, and a TV. My intent was to sleep, but I was shown how to work the TV, lights, volume, etc. and given a blanket. The prospect of being able to utilize the free wifi was tempting, but I stuck to the plan and turned down the lights and volume (yes, left the tv on) and stretched out.

Even with the occasional PA announcement from the gate across the way, I managed a pretty solid nap. There may have been some drool. even possibly some snoring. I can’t say for sure.
I had asked to have someone come knock on the door at the 1.5-hour mark, but I woke up about 15-​minutes early and made my own way out. So, yeah, paid for 15-​minutes I didn’t use. and I sooooo don’t care. It was worth it.
If the price was a wee bit cheaper, I’d seriously consider later flights and earlier airport arrivals. But, I’m weird that way.

I stayed here after a red eye flight from las vegas. after such a long night I knew I would need a place to nap and change before spending the rest of my day in atlanta, meeting up with my boyfriend prior to driving home to tennessee. I did a four hour stay and so the discount applied (my total was $ 109) – it was pricey for a nap but totally worth the sleep I got! the receptionist was very friendly and efficient. the room itself is small but the little futon/​daybed was comfortable. there is a white noise fan you can adjust to the volume you wish, and it drowned out nearly all of the airport noise. I was in the room closest to the airport terminal, and I could only occasionally hear airport noise (those little golf carts that beep when they come through). it was private and I felt completely comfortable. the price will preclude me from making many stops here, but for what I needed this was perfect.

I was stuck in ATL for a few hours after a long weekend in PR. I was not looking forward to the noise and busybuzz of the airport. I was walking around and saw Minute Suites. After a quick run through of what it was, I said WTH and paid for an hour.
I was very surprised at what you get. A small room with a bed/​couch, desk, flatscreen tv that doubles as a computer with wifi, and a drastic drop in the noise level. It’s not completely quiet (you are in an airport hello) but was definitely quiet enough to relax.
I snuck in a catnap, checking my email, watched some videos online, and before you knew it, my time was up. Depending on your level of cheapness, this is not for everyone.
The staff was very friendly. Only downside is I wish they would have had a bathroom to use in the immediate area. Freshening up in the airport bathroom is not fun.
If you are fine with plonking down $ 30 for an hour of alone time, I highly suggest Minute Suites if you are stuck in ATL for a while.

Stayed in one of the suites for an hour after a red-​eye from Orange County, CA. From now on, whenever I fly the red-​eye, I will go through Atalanta just so I can have the luxury of staying at the Minute Suites. For $ 30 an hour and $ 7.50 for every 15 minutes after that, you get a private room with pull-​out bed, blanket, pillow, chair, desk, TV, Internet, and a wonderful privacy fan to drown out airport noise. I highly recommend the Suites even for a long lay-​over when you just want to get away from all those people. Check it out, It’s worth it!
