I attend Brown College and I saws flyer for this establishment. Came here one weekend with my husband. I ordered the Nachos and he ordered the mother lover. My nachos was delicious and my husband really enjoyed his sandwich. Would definitely come back.

My coworker and I ventured to Mama Goldberg’s for lunch after searching for places nearby on Scoutmob. Only 2 blocks away, I’m surprised this was the first time for both of us. Upon walking in, we immediately stood in line while checking out the menu on the large board. The restaurant itself is much bigger than I imagined it would be, taking up the space of two retail shops in the plaza. A handful of patrons were already eating and as we waited in line, 15 more people came in. The ordering process seems somewhat inefficient, as there’s a central cashier sandwiched between two order stations, with very little distance between the three. The staff is friendly and hardworking, trying to quickly serve your order as fast as possible, which although a relief, also seems to slow down the ordering /paying /receiving process. On to the food! I tried a specialty sandwich, the Bull Rider: Roast beef and smoked cheddar cheese with lettuce, tomato and barbecue sauce served in pita bread. My pita was wrapped in aluminum and took much longer than my coworker’s sandwich, so I imagined the pita to be cheesey, melty, hot and delicious. This was not the case. Packed with roast beef, the pita was slightly under-heated, with much of the beef still cold. This is probably my only complaint and really, it’s not even that big of a deal– the pita itself was great! I also tried an order of mama’s nachos: Hot pepper cheese melted on Dorito chips.(Jalapenos are optional). Don’t laugh, these are seriously freaking amazing. Overall, a good lunch experience!

I stumbled upon this new franchise location today. The sign said«homemade chicken salad» what they served me looked like cat food. Indeed it was«homemade» using canned chicken. The salad plate served with«fresh» fruit was canned mandarin oranges, canned pineapple, literally 2 fresh grapes and some strawberry slices over wilted greens. This was a reprehensible, sorry excuse for lunch. I took a look at the sandwiches and the bread looks like super market stuff. I really should have gotten my money back, but decided to just cut my losses and run for the door. I can think of way better sandwich options in Midtown.

I was looking forward to having a new place near my work. I ordered the Signature Turkey Delite sandwich and was a bit disappointed with the size of it. It was fairly small. I also thought the quality of the turkey was on the low to mid grade scale as it gave me the stomach rumbles an hour or so later. I will give it another try being that it is so close to my work and follow up with another review.

Really good sandwiches that vary from what other delis normally have. You can choose from their signature sandwiches or build your own sandwich. The meat is good quality and bread is super soft. I tried the Turkey Delight, which is one of their signature sandwiches. It was made a nice serving of turkey, mozzarella cheese, lettuce, and mama’s sauce on a honey wheat roll. It was very tasty and light. Don’t forget to try the mama nachos with cheese! They are basically Doritos made with a pepper cheese, and while it’s a relatively simple side, it was very tasty.
