Excellent. In and Out Fast, friendly and inexpensive. Why go any where else…

My first time at this place… its small and right on the side of the Exxon gas station. the guy there was mike. really nice.great customer service and he’s quick! Had me in and out! I’ll be going there again and referring ppl to him as well

I went in October (birthday) and had a great experience! For one, I’m pretty sure this is rock bottom for price and two, the gentleman who owns this place could not be nicer.
I always make sure to go to these places when no one is in line, so I don’t have to wait on others. I did that here, and was oddly sad to end my conversation with the owner.
Happy to support quality local business owners like this one. Since we all have to do this, might as well go to Lobga (which I found out means miracle– and was the name of his son– so cool!)!

I was in and out in 10 minutes. The man who took care of me was extremely friendly and efficient. It was only $ 19 which was a major steal! It’s in the same parking lot as the Exxon gas station! I highly recommend!

YES!!! This was so painless. Jerry is über friendly and I was in and out in less than 10 minutes. It’s located on the same lot as the Exxon. You won’t be disappointed. I highly recommend them. Tell him the Unilocalers sent you. :P

I must add to the 5-​star reviews. Since I had the day off, I just went at 10 a.m. on a Tuesday and had no wait. I was out in less than 10 minutes. The guy who runs the emissions is super friendly.
You can get to Lobga very easily by taking the Maynard Terrace exit off I-​20 since this is right at the intersection of Maynard Terrace and Memorial.

Super fast and super friendly. I went at like 11am on a Monday and was outta there in no more than 20 minutes.

Stopped in on a Friday morning. No wait. The inspection was fast and the service was excellent. I had a very enjoyable conversation with the service guy. Definitely the most enjoyable emission check I have ever had.

There are only a few things I ask from my emission place: have reasonable lines and don’t be an asshole. Surprisingly hard standards to meet, apparently. This place had both and smiling servicemen as an added bonus. I’m definitely going to return to the attached shop for additional service.

Stopped by on a saturday with the fear of never ending lines lingering in my stomach. However, only one other car was there in front of me. The service is very fast and the inspector is a cool guy and very fun to talk to. Plus, all for $ 19. Higly recommendable, the little hut sits to the side of the exxon in memorial dr.

I went back again recently to have another car checked up and it was even faster. I think it’s all about choosing a good time to go!

So I didn’t have the great experience that people have raved about.
I went on a Thursday after work on the recommendation that Friday and Saturdays would be the busiest days. I got there around 4:30pm and I was in a line 5 cars deep. I wanted to go ahead and get the check done because I had been postponing so I decided to wait. The first car was finishing up and left pretty quickly. The second car also was relatively fast. The third car took forever. After a while in the bay it pulled off to the side of the garage. The next car pulled into the bay and sat for a good 15 minutes without being looked at. The owner was dealing with the owner of the car that had pulled off to the side. I’m not sure what the problem was but it contributed to my 35 minute wait. Finally the car ahead of me was seen and I pulled up. The owner really didn’t chitchat but apologized for the long wait.
At this point the wait wasn’t really that big a deal. I waited for that amount of time at the Jiffy Lube in Decatur for an emissions test last year. What did irk me happened the very next day. My car started to smoke and had a burning smell coming from under the hood while I was driving. I found out I had an oil leak from both my right and left gasket covers. Now, while I know this is not the responsibility of the emissions inspector to inform me (hell, he may not have even noticed) I have a hard time believing that someone looking around under my car wouldn’t have seen oil dripping and let me know. If he in fact did not notice it then that poses a whole different question…
Also this place now costs $ 20 for an emissions inspection which really surprised me because I went just a week after one review had posted that they only charged $ 18. Maybe more people are born in February?

Only $ 18 for a fast emissions check! I’ve been hunting around for a couple of weeks for a place less than $ 25 in the East Atlanta/​Decatur area and stumbled across this large $ 18 emissions sign at the corner of Memorial Drive and Maynard Terrace (just off I-​20) — the gas station next to ithe Emissions hut has closed up so I’m guessing lots of folks are missing this gem! Mike, the inspector, was polite, efficient and professional. I was in and out in less than 10 minutes. Mike says Fridays and weekends tend to be busiest so come earlier in the week. I’ll be recommending this place to all my friends…

Based on Google reviews and Unilocal reviews I drove out to get my car tested. Yes, I passed a few places but I drove out here because overall high reviews I found online. The gentleman owning the… hut… did not disappoint. It was fast and easy… not to mention cheaper then the other places I passed. He was very nice!

Great emission check spot! The service was above and beyond what was called for and the value is excellent. The Emission Check sits directly behind the Exxon station at the corner or Memorial Drive and Maynard Terrace. Very convenient to Kirkwood/​Oakhurst/​East Atlanta/​I-​20. Couldn’t have been a better experience. Can’t wait to go back next year!
