Le French Bakery

hmmm… i’m glad you guys had a better experience than I did for this joint. I’ve tried their banh mi is is ok.
I came in one day to get some sweets that are laid out on the table… for how many days I don’t know. what i do know is that i bought 2 rice thing with meat inside… the lady owner insisted that i buy all 3 since there’s only 1 left and she’ll give it to me for free… so i thought it was very nice and thoughtful of her. Got home and about to devour it… the rice was slimy and sticky… and the smell was intolerable. All 3 were rotten!!!
I haven’t been back since…

A customer recommended this Vietnamese bakery to me located on Buford Hwy. It’s not grand gourmet but a very solid sandwich shop. They have a few different choices and even a breakfast croissant available.
I forget the name but I always get the #3 sandwich. They also got a buy 5 or 6 get 1 free deal. Cheap, fast, and most important… delicious.

I went to my first banh mi place in Atlanta on Monday. The sign on this place says Ba Le. On google maps and Unilocal,it is labeled as Le French Bakery which doesn’t match but still makes sense. Ba Le is a banh mi joint. Banh mi is a Vietnamese baguette which is used for making Vietnamese sandwiches and it was an influence by French occupation of southeast Asia. I feel that banh mi sandwiches are very economical and very refreshing to eat because there are lots of crispy pickled radishes and carrots. I tried the BBQ pork sandwich at Ba Le and it was definitely tasty. I had a great experience at this restaurant. The boss lady was great. I asked for a mango smoothie and she didn’t want to serve it because it was made from powder. She had some fresh mangoes on the counter and decided to make a fresh mango smoothie for me. Yummy.
