My husband went to see Dr. Kramer for the first time to get a prescription renewed and was immediately scheduled for a colonoscopy even though his ulcerative colitis and arthritis have been in remmission for years. That’s OK, but after the procedure he came in to give the good news that everything looked good(no surprise) and we started discussing what has been keeping my husband healthy. I mentioned he was taking tumeric(a natural anti-inflammatory and a common spice used used in Indian food) in pill form and we thought it was helping with inflammation. Dr. Kramer immediately dismissed it even though there is some science to back it up. He even went on to say that it doesn’t matter what you eat. I asked if it was OK to eat junk at Burger King everyday and he said it would only shorten your life by about 3 days(or weeks… can’t remember exactly). With all the literature and proof that a healthy diet can prevent many common health conditions, this guy, A DOCTOR, knows best. All he had to say was to keep doing whatever works and encourage healthy diet and exercise. Instead he was a pompous _ss. I also agree that he is herding people in and out of procedures… ch ching! Oh and we got his bill(the physician’s bill only) for his stupid advice. Almost $ 600 and that is what is contracted with the insurance company.

No. No. No. No. They say that if you have to share something negative, you should end with a positive. Here it goes. Negative: Dr. Kramer treats you like a farmer herding cattle, trying to shuffle the next patient in as quickly as possible to make the most money as possible(my feelings on my appointment). Negative: There was no time spent discussing how to deal with any medical issues I had. Positive: His nurse Yolanda is really nice. It should be the doctor explaining things to me and not her. Positive: I got an appointment as a new patient really quickly. Summation: Don’t bother. Find another doctor.
