I’ve always been a fan of this shop, but haven’t been in a while. This past weekend was my first visit in over a year, maybe 2. The clerks were too busy chatting among themselves to pay attention to my questions. They actually wandered into a corner to chat while I was in the fitting room, causing me to search for them when I was ready to check out. When I used to frequency this store, the customer service was fantastic. Helpful and readily available. What happened? It will be a while before I venture back… unfortunately, as I love the clothes. But the service was so bad, I’ll be spending my money elsewhere.

I bought a couple of dresses for the club over the weekend. My friend and I were in search of NYE dresses. It sounds like they relocated, because they are now downstairs next to Arden B. and the name of the store is Edge by KS or something like that. I have to check my receipt later. All the tags on the clothes still say Know Style, though. I always thought the name of the store was rather unfortunate(say the name out loud… not exactly ideal for a clothing store — maybe that’s why they renamed it!) and never purchased anything from there because their clothing simply didn’t appeal to me. I am pretty sure it is Asian-owned. They have other locations at Northpoint Mall and Discover Mills, I think. I ended up purchasing two club-type(skanky) dresses. My friend got a classier cocktail dress. They gave her the belt that came with it at the register. They keep all belts behind the register so people don’t steal them. I found the employees to be helpful and polite. One girl in particular checked on me in the dressing room(they checked on us several times) and saw me looking at myself in one dress in the community mirror. She advised me that the dress was too big and got me a smaller size. The return policy sucks, but that is to be expected with Asian-owned clothing stores. I believe you can exchange or return for store credit within 10 days. Certain items are final sale only, including«party wear.» Not sure if that included the dresses we bought, but they did not mention it when checking out. Isn’t it usually policy to mention something is final sale at the register? Most of the dresses seemed to be in the $ 23 — $ 33 range.

I had the worst experience with Know Style at Perimeter. The store is located upstairs near the Apple Store. They sale Urban women’s clothing yet they play music degrading to women. They were playing rap music referring to women as bit#%es and who@es along with other strong profanities. When I brought it to the managers attention(woman of Asian decent) she merely ignored me and walked away without even acknowledging my concern. I pray that Know Style will not cause Perimeter Mall to run into the ground over time. Their clothes are cheap looking and sleazy too! I will never step foot in that store again.

I’ve read the other reviews and I agree with the fact that the clothing is only for a few(maybe two or three) club wears. And yes it’s all of the manmade types of fabrics, however it’s perfect for those that party! If you don’t want to spend a grip on a quick club hop weekend… then this is the place to be! And the hip hop music being played while shopping makes it all the better.

They couldn’t have named this place more suitably. «No Style.»
