I love going into Joseph & Co. to marvel at all of the beautiful dish ware, table ware and fine specialty foods! They have a lovely assortment of gifts and tasty treats. Honeysuckle gelato is superb and the baked goods are delicious! Such a gem in the neighborhood!

This new specialty food store is «the best little corner in the world.» Their salads, food, desserts, and household items are awesome. The store is elegantly designed and decorated. I bought an antique platter for my daughter for the holidays and she just loved it. Their chicken salad, egg salad, and quiche varieties are superb. Their coffees are delicious. I cannot stay away from this place. I just love it! Joseph is sophisticated and so is his store. The service is great!

I first discovered J&Co while visiting a friend who lives in the neighborhood. We walked there just before going to dinner in the nearby area. The shop is very quaint. Well organized, well lit and has a variety of merchandise. There’s a wide range of items including from dry goods(such as pastas, beans), sauces, gourmet spreads, quality salts and oils, bakeware, kitchen utensils and linens, decorative stoneware/pottery. They even have prepared food items and desserts, perfect for entertaining or for those nights you don’t have time to cook or just don’t want to cook. The price range is moderate to slightly high end, but not excessive. During our first visit, we bought two glass water bottles(that restaurants often use to serve tap water). They were a perfect addition to our kitchen. They staff is very friendly and helpful.(We had the chance to meet and talk with Jason.) You can actually walk around the store without being hounded by some overbearing associate like you might encounter at other moderate to high end shops. My most recent visit was to get host gift for an upcoming weekend trip to some friends who live out of state. I thought J&Co would be the perfect place for a gift. I should confess that we don’t live in the area at all. In fact, we live about 25 minutes away. So to drive«into the city» for a gift says a lot. I must really like the place. I definitely recommend going in to browse and see what catches your eye for yourself or for someone else. Try it. You’ll like it.

Adorable new place in Glenwood Park! The only reason I’m not giving them 5 stars is because they are still refining their mix of pastries, prepared foods, specialty food items and housewares. The store has a refined yet approachable style… like your super stylish friend — the one that always had fresh cut flowers and the most interesting ceramic dishes from their travels to Europe, only you wish they had a big comfy chair you could curl up in to read a book. You want to live there! They make some delicious baked goods… toll house chocolate chip scones, ginger and date scones, decadent giant-sized brownies, tomato tartlets, quiches, and the absolute best best best homemade caramels I have ever had in my life. They also carry meals to go, like pasta dishes and eggplant Parmesan, that you can take home and reheat, teas and jams, risotto, and Ice cream. I would like to see them have more prepared foods– salads, soups and things that were delicious but a bit healthier. If they did more of that I’d probably stop there every night I didn’t feel like cooking. Really can’t wait to see how this place evolves though. Such a great addition to the neighborhood.

Cute new business across from The Shed and Gunshow in Glenwood Park. They carry lots of packaged food supplies, like Bella Cucina spreads, dried risotto, and organic peanut butter. They carry beautiful items for the kitchen such as casserole dishes, wooden cheese boards, and Emilie Henry plates. They carry fresh desserts like scones. They serve coffee, tea, and gelato. They have some premade salads, side dishes, and mains for you to eat in or take home with you. They have a quiche of the day. Prices aren’t the cheapest so it will be interesting to see how they do. *I got their riff on a 7 layer bar and a small side of farro with feta and cranberries. Both were delicious.
