They’ve done away with the growler station, but have added a ton of craft beer options instead. They’ve also done away with the small produce section (this was mostly onions, bell peppers, and some lettuces, etc.) but that is okay with me. There are still fresh dairy and deli products along with your typical gas station fare. Also I know for a fact they close at 8pm on Sundays. I have been burned by the hours listed on their website.
I live near this place and love stopping in for a sandwich ‚(I always get the grab-​n-​go since the deli usually has a long line) some wine or local beer, or just some snacks and soda. I’ve also bought some shelf grocery items and the prices on those items are marked up, as I’d expect. The wine varies in price but there is always some variety on sale.
It’s a nice little shop, all said and done. One older lady who works here is particularly nice, and the rest are friendly enough.

The market itself is typically well stocked and the help is always personable and friendly. What keeps it from being 5 stars? The deli.
From consistently being out of product (sorry, no chicken salad. Sorry, we’re out of tuna salad. No, can’t make a quesadilla — we’re out of chicken. No, no turkey either) to wait times that often exceed 20 minutes even when you are the only customer.
Of the last four times we’ve tried them the sandwiches have been wrong (wrong toppings, only half order and in one case entirely wrong sandwiches) or they’ve been out of ingredients to make what’s on the menu.
If the shop relied on the deli alone, I’ve little doubt they’d have closed long ago.

A very convenient, well-​stocked little corner store. Their beer and wine selections are truly impressive, and their prices (especially on wine) are great. If you’re in the area and need a few odds and ends, it’s a convent, cost-​efficient stop!

I live right next to Intown Market and highly recommend it! They have everything from good beer, arden’s garden juices, emergen-​C, decent wine, as well as all the random cleaning supplies you run out of at inconvenient times. They are always friendly and changing the convenience store scene in the neighborhood for the better!

I literally go to this place every day. The deli sandwiches are always good, the beer and alcohol selection surprises me every time, and they have almost every other item you need to go about your day… with out having to make a trip all the way to a supermarket or grocery store.
Regardless of the great selections, the staff is my favorite part :)

I live in the Mattress Factory Lofts right up the street from this awesome little shop and I find myself forever praising its existence. Great selection of beer, along with the growlers, and the terrific wine deals. Their sandwiches are really good, their tuna salad is the best. They sold dolmes for a while, three for a buck (the middle eastern grape leave and rice roll.) — hope they bring it back.

Everything you could ask for in a local corner store, and more. Impressive collection of beer, including craft beers, growlers and microbrews (and a walk in cooler!!). Good wine selection for a corner store, and very good freshly made sandwiches too. The folks here always have a smile and treat everyone like a friend. Love this place!

I love markets like this… ones that offer all of the basic «intown living» necessities like beer and wine (awesome selection, as well as a beer cooler), ice cream, condiments, medicine, hot food, pizza, some produce… you name it. My boyfriend was the one who first brought me here because he loves their growler selection… we also needed a quick, close place to buy dog food. :) The second I walked in… I knew this was going to become one of my go to places. And it has.
Prices are very reasonable for a market (a tad higher, but not much compared to a grocery store).
Service is top notch! Not only is everyone friendly, but if you have any questions about their beer/​wine selection… they have the answers for you.
Bonus — there are a few spots in front of the market to make it easy to get in and out. They also have a few picnic tables in front if you want to grab a bite and eat it there.
Overall…I am a fan of Intown Market and I know after you check them out… you will be too!

Been going back here a lot. A whole damn lot. My first few visits were all about beer, but now I’ve found their pizzas too, and holy damn they’re good. From personal size to large monsters, they’re fresh cooked right before your eyes. Deli sandwiches are awesome here too, fresh, just the way you want. Sooo good too. They now also have beer in growlers, 8 taps I believe of fresh beer, rotated as they sell out, for your drinking pleasure. Score.

Stopped in here to grab some brew before the performance at The Village Theatre down the street and was really impressed with the selection. This isn’t your typical convenience store fare, kids: they had La Fin du Monde in a 4-​pack!
It was much more like my beloved Savi than I had expected, and I hope that the neighborhood is supportive of their slightly upper class ways. I know I’ll be back here, as they’ve got easy parking around back, the service was super friendly, prices reasonable, and they had some beers I hadn’t ever heard of. Seriously impressive stuff for your neighborhood mini-​mart.

an awesome and super convenient market right on dekalb. truly an impressive beer selection considering from your initial outside glance it looks like just your typical corner store. I’m talkin I got some KBS AND Hopslam there! that should say it all for all my fellow beer geeks. the staff is super friendly and helpful. True it is not the selection of Hop City, but it beats the heck out of any other place in the neighborhood. plus Intown market has great sandwiches… Hop City doesn’t. ;) you should most definitely check it out, I am forever a fan and loyal customer!

For my late night wine cravings I know I can quickly leave the comfort of my home, stop in at the corner store and grab a great selection to match my pallet for the evening ;) I am always greeted with a smile and leave just as safe as when I walked in.
The owner cares, his staff is great, and there deli isn’t bad at all.

This place is a great place to grab a quick bite and some good beer in the O4W.
The deli counter has great choices for sandwiches and salads. Very solid food at great prices. Plus the beer selection there is amazing for a store of its type and size.
This is also the best place to pick up beer if you are going to the Village Theatre for an improv show and forgot it was BYOB. Just down the street and have everything you could want.

amazing beer selection, decent wine selection (the prices are great).
they carry organic milk and have a fabulous inhouse café for salads/​sandwiches as well as all the sundries you’d expect at a convenience store.
i can walk there (which i do in daylight hours) but wouldn’t do so on my own at night due to the necessity to walk through the scary grant st. tunnel.

This is a pretty new place. it’s a convenience store, but better than most.
The guys are friendly and attentive to customers needs.
They have a very good range of beers and all the usual stuff you would find at a convenience store.
No Bums or dope boys hanging outside and the place looks and feels much more decent and clean than the choices in the surrounding area.
But best of all they have like a mini kitchen that puts out good sandwiches and to-​go food! They are located RIGHT NEXT to the King Memorial train station so they are Really convenient!
They are so good, I had to come on here and add them to the Unilocal world.
Give em a try, you won’t regret it.
