I was lucky enough to be a guest at Millie S’s beautiful wedding at the Houston Mill House. The garden was perfect for the intimate wedding — beautifully kept and just the right size for the party. It felt like it was a secret spot, completely separate from the busy city. The food was DELICIOUS. Some of the best shrimp and grits I’ve EVER had — not just at a wedding, EVER. There was also a good pasta bar and divine cheese platter. The house was very cozy, with the food being interspersed throughout, so you journeyed to each of the rooms on the main floor. The coziness of the house made everyone friendlier, encouraging you to talk to the other guests who you didn’t know, as you passed through the halls and up and down the stairs. When it got too hot on the dance floor(and believe me, we danced up a storm, so it did), we headed out for some air on the patio. Even the patio was social, since there’s a balcony on the main level that overlooks it, allowing for some friendly conversation on multiple levels. If you’re looking for an intimate and classy spot for a wedding in Atlanta, definitely check out the Houtson Mill House. #Yelp365 — 67⁄365

We just had our wedding at the HMH on 5÷16÷09. I could not be more pleased! The weather was iffy, so we were waiting until the last minute to decide if the ceremony would be outside or not. Finally made the call to be outside and the staff quickly set up and got everything ready. The grounds were beautiful and the food was amazing. We are still getting compliments from our guests about how lovely everything was. Hallie and Jessica were great all the way through, from the prep before the wedding through the end of the event. I love having my wine refilled every time I turned around! I never even had to visit the bar. I am so happy we chose the HMH for our venue and definitely recommend it to anyone for a special event!

This is my post-wedding review: The staff and service at the HMH are phenomenal. Jessica and Hallie made our wedding happen with ease, and chef Vince made the most spectacular food(the crab cakes are to DIE for). They all went above and beyond helping setup and planning the wedding, and at a great value. Truly could not be more pleased with how everything turned out.

Beautiful old-school home well suited for an elegant wedding reception. My buddy had his reception here and it was one of the best I’ve been to. In front is a carfully manicured lawn and well maintained fountain, perfect for post wedding photos. The house has a couple floors and a back patio. The back patio made for great spill over and was a relaxing brick-lined space, dinner was on the middle level and dancing was downstairs. The house can feel a llittle cramped at times so if you’re planning a wedding with over maybe 80 people I’m not sure if it’ll work for you.
