History

Established in 1972.

Goldberg’s Bagel Company & Deli was the only place in Atlanta for the freshest bagels for more than 20 years. That’s why, when Wayne Saxe and Howard Aaron approached the Goldberg’s in 1992 about buying their bagel store, it had to be a perfect match.

Saxe and Aaron had owned restaurants in their native South Africa and they had grown up experiencing traditional Jewish dishes passed down by their grandmothers.

Over 20 years later, Saxe and Aaron have not only held true to the tradition and core values of customer service established by the Goldbergs, but they have elevated the franchise. Goldberg’s has grown from a single bagel shop into 6 Atlanta-area locations and 4 airport locations.

Though Goldberg’s has expanded its menu offerings to include a wide range of breakfast and lunch items, bagels are still at the heart of the company. That’s why Goldberg’s staff continues to bake more than 500 dozen bagels every weekday and more than 1,000 dozen on the weekends.
