Georgia Institute of Real Estate

Been coming here for over a month to get my real estate salesperson license. The building is always very clean including the bathrooms. My instructor Alan is a really good instructor! He’s been in the real estate biz since before I was born and came from a family of realtors so he def knows his stuff. I’ve learned so much from this guy and will be taking my exam next week. I think i’ll do well on my exam next week. Prayers please! lol. Only thing i didn’t like was Alan keeps his classes sooooo cold. I brought a blanket to all classes!

Called twice to inquiry about their broker’s class. Neither call was received or returned. Their course is $ 100 more than other Real Estate schools, which I would gladly pay if it were explained to me why the extra expense was a worthy investment.
Also, they boast the following on the broker’s class purchase page,” In 2009, 90.4% of our computer-​based Salesperson Pre-​license students passed the State exam on their first attempt! (Statewide percentage passing the first time: 69.2%.)“
I was signing up for the Brokers, not the Salesperson class and secondly, this is 2015. Who cares what your pass rate was six years ago?
The school is part of the Atlanta Board of Realtors, so frankly, I’m not surprised.

I just purchased the Real Estate Dynamics, Book to study. I have a license from another state and all books have the answers, since I am not taking a class it would be nice to have the answers to use to study from?
The staff there doesn’t know the answer or the prices of their classes!

I took pre license sales person course. I can’t begin to describe how disappointed I am with the instructor. She is not structured and gets carried away. Last day of the class, she still had 2 chapters to cover and she just read through the slides. Oh did I mention I was penalized for being late twice? And here is the kicker, three of us were late for class 2 times and I was the only one penalized. How cool is that. They have no good way of tracking student attendance. Some of the students who missed the class weren’t required to take a make up class.
This is truly disappointing experience

Good luck with getting any phone calls returned. My Questions still unresolved… guess I’m just out of luck. I expected more from GIRE.

I have been trying to buy the pre-​license course now for FOUR days! I cannot get one person to call me back. It said not to submit your credit card information twice due to being double charged, but then it said the credit card did not process. I have called for 4 days straight and left a message everyday just to find out if my purchase went through or not and have received no return phone call or answer. If I can’t get help PURCHASING their product how am I supposed to believe I will be able to get a hold of someone if I have trouble or questions about the class? First impressions are everything! I am no longer going with the Georgia Institute of Real Estate to take my online class!

I took the pre-​licensing online class and it was one of the best decisions that I have made.
Full disclosure: I recently graduated from college and do not have a job so I was working on this all day everyday until i finished the course.
I wanted to complete the course at my own pace so I decided to do it online. I found the set up to be very helpful in that you were tested on the information you learned in every step. It was easy to use and it is extremely helpful when it comes time to start studying for the state exam.
In order to be successful in using the online course you have to be diligent and work hard. If you are self motivated and very well disciplined, this is for you.
I recently took the Georgia State exam for my real estate license and passed the first time!

This review is for the pre-​licensing online class. WARNING: DO NOT TAKE THE PRE-​LICENSING CLASS ONLINE, TAKE THE CLASS!
There are 20 chapters you must go through online without the book which makes it even more tedious, and each chapter is broken down into 10 – 17 sub-​sections which includes a chapter test that you must pass @ 90% and 5 – 10 quizes per chapter that you must answer 100% correct in order for the chapter to be marked as successfully completed. And I still ended up getting the book at $ 55 to make easier to navigate through the online material.
I’ve had 4 real estate licenses in other states where I’ve taken the 2 week course in class without a problem and I really consider myself a professional test taker. But I decided to take the real estate class online because I’m very familiar with real estate principles so this should be easier for me to do online. Let me tell you, that this has got to be by far the worst I’ve experienced in real estate education… period.
Like I said, I just knew since I’ve had MANY years of real estate experience and education that this would be a cake walk and its been the complete opposite. It has been EXTREMELY time consuming which is designed to do just that by the computer programmers who created it… it will waste all of your valuable time and take you a lot longer than 2 weeks to finish. Do yourself a favor, go to class for two weeks full time and be done with it…
Or find another school that doesn’t have their course material set up this way. But make sure the school will allow you to see how it’s set up before you pay if you can… This has been a huge disappointment and time waster.
P. S. The real estate book that they provide does NOT have the answers in it, nor does it show the right way to complete the CME form in Ch 13 so you WILL NOT even know if your answer is right throughout the ENTIRE book. They will email you the answers to the book AFTER they see that you have finished the course. HOW BACKWARDS IS THAT?
