G Salon and Spa

I found the Keratin treatment on Groupon… I called up to schedule my appointment, and I was able to get my appointment within 2 days. When I arrived at G Salon, everyone who greeted me were so nice. Ismael was my keratin specialist, and we also discussed my haircut. It was long and scraggly in the back, and he made a creative suggestion to take up the back, and I loved the idea! He performed the treatment in minimal time, he cut my hair in a long bob, and I love it! I’m going back to see him for Biolage color, and I can’t wait to see what my hair will look like then. Overall, I was very impressed with everything from start to finish, prices are reasonable, the salon is pretty, and I can’t wait to go back!

I came here for a massage and that is all I can speak to.
Okay I really do like how friendly and helpful everyone is here from the front desk to pretty much everyone. It was a no stress environment. Setting the appointment was also super easy.
I have been getting massages since I was 21, so I know every style and what is a good and bad one. My massage thferapist was okay at best. Bottom line is that with a good massage you get that relaxed and fresh feeling at all the problem areas (though they might be sore). With my therapist — I simply didn’t get that. The pressure, technique, and methods just weren’t there.

I went here on my birthday for a massage and facial. The young lady who completed my facial did a great job. She made the experience comfortable and relaxing. I believe her name was Crystal. I then went to get a massage by another young lady. She was very pleasant but I’ve had better massages. But that also may just be apart of my preference as well. Great atmosphere, great price (Groupon), and I was given a sense of welcoming upon arrival.

Booked a massage yesterday for Saturday… my only day to sleep in and be off. Got there 10 minutes early like requested. Was told the therapist was running late. No problem. Then was offered a blow out with a new stylist. COOL. then was told no massage today :(. Still got the blow out because why not. I asked for beach you waves and walked out with Shirley temple curls. Sweet. Now I still have to do my hair today and I woke up early and wasted an hour of my day. Granted everyone there including the manager were very sweet and nice so kudos for that. Won’t be back.

Not a good experience with their Keratin treatment

I’ve only had aesthetic and massage services here, so my review is based solely on that.
I initially came here a few years ago on a group savings voucher (Groupon, Living Social, etc). The staff has always been really nice and accommodating and I’ve personally had superb services. Parking is a bitch, but for what I’ve gotten customer service-​wise, that’s a small negative.

I should have wrote a review for this salon years ago. I was a customer for over 3.5 years. I feel like every visit there was a reason it so to get upset. Always a discrepancy in what you owe, never the same stylist twice. Etc. My last visit, will be my last visit.
I had very long hair, probably to the middle of my back. I wanted a slight change. Go red and cut a few inches off, I gave her quite a few pictures of styles I want. She cut off 9, yes 9 inches off!!! I asked for 2 – 3! I was panicking in my head but was hoping it would look different when she was done. After she finished I pointed out that it significantly shorter in one side (there’s my two inches!). She half assed fixed it and I left.
The next day after washing and fixing to myself I knew it was completely unacceptable, and now I was really upset.
I called the salon and set up a follow up appt and the master stylist trimmed it for me. It wasnt great, but now my hair was to my chin… What else could he do.
I honestly feel like, due to the situation and the longevity of my patronage they could have done a lot more to make me happy.
For one, they should have refunded what I paid. She royally screwed up. And they should of had me come in for a follow up a few months later, at no charge. My hair grew out horribly and all over the place.
G salon. You made a big mistake.

New to Atlanta area and found this salon on Unilocal.I had a scheduled haircut appointment with Wayne. I arrived 20 minutes early and witnessed a lengthy disagreement between a client and this stylist because she didn’t like the outcome of the color. Wayne argued that was the color she picked but she said She wanted more Brown. Management got involved and they were arguing with Wayne to just make customer happy. Meanwhile, he still had to finish with another customer before me and he didn’t know he had my appointment until front desk reminded him. I finally gave up after waiting 35 minutes past my scheduled appointment because he still wasn’t ready.

Tried with a groupon and glad I did.
Shelby did a wonderful job with Keratin treatment on long heavy hair. She is patient, thoroughly explained how to maintain the look, and was full of positive energy.
Parking is tight. Everything else is wonderful can wait to try out their spa.

Keratin and hair cut with Dwayne: he is awesome and always very professional and knowledgable. I don’t trust anyone with my hair but Dwayne he is new here at the G Salon but I’ve followed him from his last location at Spencer Malay. He always takes good care of your hair and doesn’t push products or unnecessary things.

Update: I have bought another couple of Scoutmob hand-​picked deals for a massage, because I though Shawn did a great job. The last time I went, I got a full-​priced facial. It was great. I had back to back appointments for a facial and then a massage. After my facial, I had to wait about 15 minutes until I could go into the massage room. I was now 10 minutes into my massage appointment. Shawn came in and did the regular run down you get at the beginning of a massage. Another 10 minutes go by before she returns to my room, then she takes another 5 to light the votives scattered around the room that I couldn’t even appreciate because my face is already smushed into this massage table, then she leaves the room again?! Long story short, my one hour massage was only 30 minutes and I felt like I got the shitty end of the Scoutmob stick. I’m over you, G Salon.

Please please do not go here. Most inappropriate massage. Got way too close if you know what I mean. Made me embarrassed to have to tell management.

This place is AMAZING. Everyone is so nice and the atmosphere is so fun! I came here after getting a groupon for a keratin treatment and now I’m never going anywhere else.
Seth did my keratin treatment and he is WONDERFUL! He has such a passion for what he does and it really shows in his work. I have really curly, frizzy hair and he just knew what to do with it, which can be really hard to find. Not to mention he’s really fun to talk to. Definitely the kind of person you want working on your hair when you’re gonna be sitting there for an hour. I’m sure everyone there is wonderful, but I HIGHLY recommend Seth!
Their prices are also very reasonable. And thats coming from a kid who just graduated college…

I love this place! After Groupon-​hopping around when I first moved down to Atlanta I found G Salon and have been coming for several years now. Everyone here is so friendly and fun, it really feels more like hanging out with friends. I usually see either Gavin or Seth and have had amazing results with both. Whether I have a specific idea in mind or just tell them «make me look good!», I always leave feeling great about my hair.

I had a fabulous experience here last weekend. I was gifted a Spa day Groupon and was very excited to use it. The package included a hour massage, hour facial, and wash /​blow dry /​and style.
The front desk associate I spoke to when I called to make my appointment was super friendly and cheerful. I made sure to mention I have natural super curly hair while booking the appointment.
When I arrived I was told my first appointment would be delayed a little because the person before me was not finished. I was offered a variety of drink choices. The facial was awesome and I was given samples to try for a product I asked about. Next I had my massage. I requested deep tissue which was an extra $ 15 but worth it. I believe her name was Shawn. She was friendly and great.
Final stop was my hair. I was a bit hesitant because of my hair being a challenge for some stylist. Ismael took great care of me and was friendly but not too chatty. I was half way in a sleep coma from the awesome services I received before. He pointed out my hair needed a trip, which I knew. After a little discussion we decided to cut it into a style since several inches needed to go. I was very pleased with my hair. It took him longer than the appointment time, which I figured it would because it normally does at any salon. I appreciate him taking his time and doing an awesome job even when his next appointment showed up.
After the amazing service I received I decided to join their monthly massage program. $ 49 a month for a massage. You can pay around $ 35 additional to get a facial too. This program includes a monthly wash and blow dry.
I will see them monthly for the next year!

I have been going to see Seth for a couple years now. I recommended him to my mom and she loves him as well. He gives a great hair cut, and he’s an absolute genius with color. I started seeing him when I had long hair, and he would do my keratin treatments (great at that too), and now with the short hair he’s still wonderful.

Had an appointment with Seth this morning for a haircut. He did a good job and gave me a fantastic blow out. He was friendly but was not overly chatty– which I appreciated since I felt like he was really paying attention to my hair and the cut itself. The other staff was very friendly as well. The major draw back is the parking situation– there are 4 hard to get into spots in the front and I am not sure if there is somewhere else to park.
Overall I would recommend both the salon and Seth.

Had an excellent massage here from Shawn. Very professional, friendly, and considerate. I especially enjoyed the little heat therapy thing she did while she worked on my legs. It was incredibly relaxing. And for a 60 minute massage, the price can’t be beat. The space is very cute and conveniently located. I do have to echo the warning about parking. Make sure to give yourself some time to figure it out before your appointment. I will definitely be back!

I got my hair cut by Amy today using a Groupon deal. One can be skeptical as to how the service will turn out.
Amy did a fantastic job and listened to exactly what I wanted. It turned out perfect. I have really long hair, and have had several bad experiences with people cutting it too short. This was not the case, she cut it to the exact length that I specified.
I highly recommend going here and having her do your hair!

After about 15 attempts (not kidding), I finally got a chance to use my ScoutMob here.
Very conveniently located, these guys are on that strip of Piedmont near the «St. Jame», «Jagoozi» and «Kamal’s 21» — yes, classy.
The location is nice — though a little problematic to get in and out of — and hopefully there will be an increase of these kinds of places versus what is there now.
I digress.
It’s okay; the masseuse (he introduced himself as a «therapist») seemed not so much young as much as inexperienced. He was okay and responded to requests to increase or decrease pressure. I probably won’t go back again just because if you’re going to get naked and lay on a table in the dark, you kinda want to have an amazing experience.
