History

Established in 1997.

FORBES Accounting & Consulting, Inc. started as a solo operation in Jackson, MS in 1997 focusing primarily on individual income tax returns for students and those individuals classified as low income.

We relocated temporarily to Raleigh, NC in 2001, and we moved to our current location in Atlanta, GA in 2004.

The business has since grown to include accounting and bookkeeping services, business consulting, small audits and reviews, financial reporting, as well as tax preparation and planning for small businesses.

FORBES Accounting & Consulting, Inc. is an Atlanta, GA based boutique Accounting firm owned and operated by Jeri M. Forbes, a licensed Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA). Ms. Forbes has both a Bachelors and Masters degree in Accounting, and she started preparing taxes over 15 years ago. Since then she has gained valuable experience in Accounting and Finance roles within some of the largest corporations in the world as well as some smaller companies in the Atlanta area. Her skill set includes Accounting, Bookkeeping Services, Audit, Financial Analysis and Reporting, as well as Tax Accounting and Planning.

Ms. Forbes is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), the National Association of Tax Professionals (NATP), and the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA). She is also an Intuit Certified Quickbooks ProAdvisor.
