History
Established in 1971.
When the Inn opened in January of 1971, it contained twenty-six units with two twin beds, a table, and full kitchens. The room rate was $ 11 per night for a double and $ 7 per night for a single.
In 1980, the company purchased nearby property (Thomas Courts) on North Decatur Road that created seventeen additional rooms in the area known as the Guest House. These rooms received further renovation in 1988, creating twelve suites. Six additional units were added in 1983. In further expansion, the current Oxford Hall was purchased in 1985; the units in this facility provide a longer stay option.
The Inn provides a warm, inviting atmosphere to guests of Emory University, the Emory Medical Complex, Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, and CDC. The location of the Inn is central to most of the attractions of the greater Atlanta area and provides a home away from home for those who visit this great city of the South.
