Our community recently had interaction with this developer, seeking to find common ground on a potential new residential development near ours. Multiple neighborhoods expressed concern over the multi-​family, high-​density plan vs. the low density of established neighborhoods on the same street. There were numerous meetings held with concerned residents and EAH’s CEO and their lawyer. Current residentswho attended the meetings found them to be condescending, arrogant and not amenable to concerns expressed about the impact of the proposed development on traffic, schools, and particularly sewage and runoff. Ultimately, after strong community-​led participation, this was voted down by the Roswell City Council. This post in no way should impugn the quality of any homes potentially built by this developer, as that was not an issue. The issue was their unwillingness to build homes that align and/​or enhance the value of the other communities (as perceived by current communities), rather than detract from it and have potential negative impact on public utility infrastructure. Perhaps other concerned communities will benefit from this experience: hopefully EAH may be more open minded to input from affected residents rather than threatening lawsuits against the city council. My understanding is that they did try to have an «11^th hour» revision to review with the current neighborhoods, but after numerous weeks of trying to find common ground, it was too little, too late.
