This place is awesome. I ordered the Jerk Chicken and it was absolutely delicious. The collards were so-​so, but the mac and cheese here is great. My girlfriend ordered bbq chicken and it was good too.
This place gives you a large amount of good food for the money. You can’t go wrong.

Great spot to get an easy meal on Saturday. Been a number of years since I’ve been here, but still good food.

Customer service was good but not satisfied with the food. It was okay very bland and had an after taste.

HMMMM… I know if your reading this review your probably wondering whether you should go or not… Depends lol… Food is cheap with generous portions. The inside has not remodeled since they opened its doors in 1991. They have not used a Mop, broom, towel, pine sol or bleach since around the same time lol. If you want a suggestion from me, take it to go or maybe on your lunch break is okay. But NEVER EVER bring your date here. You’ll be single again by the time your night ends lol. All jokes aside Eats is worth a try as I live right around the corner in midtown so I walk here once a week and pick up food to go. Friday’s Jerk tilapia is amazing!!!

Eats is a safe bet if you’re looking for a relatively quick, GIANT meal of comfort food, at a really fantastic price.
The Food:
I’ve tried a variety of main dishes and sides and everything is good, but not out of this world. Jerk chicken is my favorite thing I’ve had there, but nothing stands out as SO GOOD that I need to go back for it.
Atmosphere:
It feels a bit like a cafeteria on the inside, but that’s totally fine with me. Don’t head to Eats if you’re looking for a cutesy hole-​in-​the wall with kitschy décor.
Parking:
There’s a free parking lot on-​site with a decent amount of space, so you don’t need to worry about finding parking and walking.
Service:
Just what I expected — you order at the counter, sit down, they bring you your food, and you don’t see anyone else the rest of the time you’re there.

I’ve come here so many times and I don’t know why I never reviewed them.
This place is super casual. You walk to the counter and order then you wait to be called. I always get the meat and two sides (between $ 8-​$ 9). I opted for jerk chicken and macaroni with broccoli and rice casserole.
The chicken is a whole breast, a wing, and a leg. No thigh. It was super super moist and it was cooked all the way through. The broccoli and rice casserole was superb as usual and the macaroni was tasty as well. The lemon pepper chicken in my opinion is usually dry so I don’t get that one as often. The sweet tea is usually reallly good.
You can dine in, they have quite a few seats tucked into this little spot. It’s nothing fancy but the license plates from around the country that line the walls are a nice touch.
If you can get into the parking lot without tearing up your car, go for it!

Refreshingly unpretentious. Just real good food. I’ll keep coming back for the jerk chicken.

Living nearby for 6 months and we finally made it over. (so many cool food places nearby!) Absolutely wonderful! We shared the Jerk half chicken, collards, sweet potato and broccoli casserole. With a drink it was just over $ 10. I added hot sauce to the mild collards. All totally yummy, hot and super fast. Going back very soon (for the turkey meatloaf).

The food was very enjoyable — I left embarrassingly full. It’s a little rough around the edges but the atmosphere goes really well with the food and the kitchen (s) can get it out quickly.
I had the jerk chicken with mac n cheese and greens. The chicken was hot and actually pretty moist. The greens were prepared by someone who’s clearly done this before and I also like the flavors the mac n cheese gave me — it had a smokey, almost tangy flavor too it, like there may have been some garlic involved in it’s inception.
The cornbread that came with the meal was so-​so but once I located the butter near the drink machine I felt a little more at ease.
My gf had the lemon pepper chicken with broccoli casserole. She (and I) both liked the casserole even though it was mostly rice and the lemon pepper chicken was solid but could have been crispier to help keep some of the seasonings intact.
They also have a pasta kitchen where they put out about 5 – 6 different made-​to-​order pasta dishes. I was rubber-​necking and the portions are not for the faint of heart.
I wanna say that it’s a soul food restaurant because my soul was definitely soothed upon my departure but a closer look confirms that this place isn’t trying to market the menu as SOUTHERN soul food — which is okay by me. It was good. And two people can eat for $ 20.01 w/​drinks. Would go back.
5 stars if they served breakfast.

I’ve been going to Eats since college — think it’s one of the best deals on good food in Atlanta! Totally addicted to the jerked chicken. If I do the meat plus three can usually take half home and eat again. I’ve even ordered an all veggie plate to go, in addition to my meal, just to have nice food to reheat.
Usually get the broccoli casserole, mac n cheese and collards.

Great home cooking at an even better price. The meatloaf, jerk chicken, and chicken chili are all tasty. Service is fast to boot. Always need a doggy bag because the portions are huge. There are usually homeless guys outside, but they’re no trouble. There is a mix and match pasta bar that I want to try.

Five stars based on the fact that, although it’s been 17 years since I ate here, I still remember the cheese tortellini bowl with creamy marinara! A ton of delicious food, to-​go, and cheap! Now I’m thinking I need an excuse to go to the city again! So glad to see the place is still in business.

This was very reminiscent of my high school cafeteria. From the rude staff to the less than decorative flatware. Maybe that’s how it’s always been. I dunno. I know a lot of people probably love this historic restaurant, however I was less than impressed. The food was mediocre. It wasn’t seasoned well at all. Very bland rice & veggies. Presentation is key with me. It made me feel like I was back in school. Not a good look. Some love this place. I always pass it when headed downtown & I will continue to pass it by.

If you love large portions of clean, healthy, fresh food this is the place to be! Not only is the food here very good, the servers are very friendly as well. You can get a huge meal that fits most diets for about $ 8. This is definitely one of my favorite places in Atlanta. I recommend the jerk chicken plate!

Got Eats for catered lunch at work. I wanted to love this place, but after I finished eating, I just felt parts of my meal fell a little short.
I tried the turkey meatloaf and jerk chicken, which are both very good. I’ve never had jerk chicken so this was my first experience and it was good. It is spicy so it definitely added a kick. They were both very tender well made. For sides, I tried the green beans and broccoli casserole. I think this is where they kinda slacked on. They were both just okay. Just average sides that aren’t any better than any other average restaurant. I didn’t eat it myself, but a couple people mentioned that the corn bread wasn’t very good. It was dry, and I quote «the worst corn bread I’ve ever had.» So if you want to come check out eats, definitely try the meatloaf and the jerk chicken. Solid food for a solid price.

My favorite place to eat in Atlanta since 1994. I would love to franchise this place. I always eat the Jerked Chicken with rice, beans, and cornbread. Old School, baby!

As many times I have eaten here, I am not sure how I never reviewed it!
I love Eats! I feel like it is two restaurants in one. An Italian and good home cooking restaurant messed to create this gem. I love that my family can eat here for a reasonable price and have plenty of options. I normally end up taking about half of my food home due to their size portions.
I have lots of favorites but my top two are their turkey meatloaf and lemon pepper chicken. I love their broccoli cheese casserole as a side. I always end up buying an additional one to take home because I eat it all.
The staff has always been friendly and go out of their way to ensure you are pleased. The parking lot can be a beast to get into at times when you are coming from Midtown, but it is worth it.

You get a lot for your money. The food here is good. The jerk chicken is seasoned very well I can’t say it was very spicy but it didn’t taste bad. The collard Greens were just ok I won’t get them again. The sweet potato was a actual sweet potato baked wrapped in foil, if there was some sugar, butter and cinnamon available it would have been a delicious side. For the price, if you are hungry and don’t want to eat fast food but have a small budget this is definitely the spot to go to.

Pretty solid lunch place for several reasons.
1) cheap
2) lots of food
3) ridiculously fast
The food here is definitely fresh and didn’t come frozen off a truck. Probably because of how it’s situated with its very small parking lot. No truck could get in there.
Anyhow, came in around 11:45AM. Not too many people were in line in front of us. But after 12PM, this place gets packed! Every table is filled. So come early or come later.
The menu is pretty expansive with a variety of meats and veggies/​sides. Always go for 3 sides because it’s only 25 cents more compared to a meat and two sides. Plus everyone likes extra sides!
I give it 3 stars because the food quality is like cafeteria food. Not to say it’s bad because I enjoyed my lunch! The jerk chicken was good and I loved that I got more than a kid’s meal sized serving. It wasn’t the best jerk chicken I’ve had and the chicken was dry but huge fan of the serving size. I got mac & cheese, rice, and baked sweet potato. Mac & cheese was good covered with watery cheese. Rice was nothing special and resembled more of a stove top quality. Baked sweet potato was fine.
Soon as we paid and I went to fill my drink, the food was out soon as I turned around. This place is faster than some fast food joints and you won’t feel horrible about eating it because it’s real food and not made from a shoe. No offense McDonalds.
For the quantity of food, price, and quickness, this is a good lunch spot if you’re busy and looking to leave full until it’s time for dinner.

Eats is always SO consistently amazing that it’s worth going back and back and back.
Always, ALWAYS get the lasagna. It’s fresh and yummy, and a great deal, too. You get a salad, garlic bread and a huge Manly Man-​sized portion that you won’t be able to finish.
I always gravitate to the pasta side of the restaurant, but I hear the meat side is just as good. Worth a trip, especially if you’re from out of town.
