Dunwoody Village

Overall, my experience at Dunwoody Village was alright. The location was nice and very close to everything I needed. My apartment was well maintained and enough space for me and my large dog. The maintenance men were always quick and helpful when I had a problem. They repsonded in under 24 hours every time. I could also have my dog at the complex, which is hard to do at most places. However the office staff is impossible. I could never get a straight answer on anything, ever. Every time I asked a question, the answer was different from 2 – 4 different workers and then it was my fault if something happened. They are friendly, but essentially incompetent at anything important. The trash problem is too real at this complex as well. The dumpsters were always overflowing and never in service. You could smell them from the pool and whenever you drove by. I occasionally saw a few rats as well. It was never fixed in the year I lived there. My experience was average

Where do I begin? How about the rusted out refrigerator that caused my drinking water to taste horrible given the smell. And then two maintenance guys who can barely be understood bring a different color refrigerator, end up fixing the one I have and leaving their other one on my porch for a week? And here’s the real kicker, BLACK MOLD!!! I’ve had to contact them a few times because of a black mold problem that still exists and is only getting worse. And then maintenance has the nerve to blame it on me for not running the air all day and letting the humidity in the apartment! That’s okay because I’ve alerted the Dekalb County Environmental Board of Health and if the black mold keeps negatively affecting my health and it’s not removed, they will be hearing from a lawyer! Let’s face it, they just wanted my money, knew I was getting a crappy place, never bothered up to inspect the place and forgot all about me. Don’t rent here. Simple as that. Your health and sanity could be at stake. No joke.

Don’t waste your time or money. Unprofessional and rude is an understatement! It Is NOT worth the money! Go up the street to brookhaven or buckhead! My lease is almost up and I can’t wait to get out of here! They do not respond to service requests. Nothing is ever fixed. There are mosquitos and centipedes and mice everywhere. It’s disgusting!

Expensive but worth it, especially if you are a single professional. Extremely quiet, close to everything you need including a mall.
