Drescher and Cohen, DDS

The team at Drescher and Cohen was very flexible in working with my schedule and was able to incorporate previous x-​rays into their examination. They were very jovial and patient in answering any of my questions. Will definitely go back! Only downside is it can be difficult to find parking outside of paid parking garages in that area.

Always a great experience– from the insurance to the cleaning to the parking vouchers. :) Love these guys!

Work and life has kept busy to the point of going 3 months over my scheduled 6 month cleaning. I called at 12:15 on a Friday, knowing their last appointments are 1p.m., to see if they could take me last minute since I actually found a minute to myself. Yes was the answer! I came in, the staff was as friendly as always and took great care of me. They even fixed a small problem I had. I was in and out in no time.
Dr. Simion remembers me and the things we chat about whenever I come. I’ve only been going to them a little over a year, and I’m amazed with the personable touch. I’m a chatter so remembering things I talk about is special to me. I just referred my colleague and hope she falls in love with this place as I have.

Have been going to this dentist for several years. They are extremely professional and more than friendly. You can also count on them to stick to your appt time so won’t have to wait around.

I haven’t had many good dental appointment experiences throughout my life. As a direct result, I avoided visiting a dentist for many years.
Fast forward to my relocation from NY to Atlanta, and because I was completely new to the A, I took my wife’s suggestion to book an appointment with Drescher & Cohen D.D.S. I figured why not give it a try? After all, she has trusted them with her precious set of pearly whites for over a decade.
As soon as I arrived in the lobby area I was greeted by front desk assistants with a smile and was taken care of immediately. The office is very tranquil, clean and inviting and I felt very comfortable.
My first experience was with Sarah (who unfortunately does not work there any longer); she conducted my 1^st dental analysis, teeth cleaning and whitening procedure. Her personality was warm and bubbly and she really knew her craft. She did a great job on my teeth and also found «4» cavities through the x-​rays she took.
Sarah introduced me to Dr. Kamy Simian DMD, and offered me the option of filling the 4 cavities on the same day of my 1^st teeth cleaning. Now that was pushing it for me; I started having flashbacks of a dentist working on my teeth in NY who really didn’t have it together and I remember feeling like I was some kind of experiment! (lol)
On that note, I thought to myself «who is Dr. Simian and should I allow someone with less experience to drill though my teeth? Why not have one of the Dental masters (Drescher or Cohen) fill my cavities. However, at the time of my appointment (it was in July of 2014), both of them were on vacation.
I had to make a decision, and I really didn’t want to walk out of the dental office reporting to my wife that all went well except that I learned I have 4 cavities rotting inside my teeth! I also have a needle phobia, so you can already imagine I was considering bailing out on the situation.
Turns out I gave Dr. Simian a chance and I just prayed the outcome would be positive. He was very kind, patient and precise with his work. I surprisingly felt comfortable and relaxed throughout the duration of the procedure.
I had one really large and deep-​rooted cavity located in one of my bottom molars (which I was avoiding for several years due to fear), but he did really well ensuring that it was as painless as possible. After drilling my tooth open, he asked me if I could feel the air blowing on it. I could feel it, so he gave me a couple more shots of Novocain to numb it up.
There was a point in which he said that he was getting near my root during the extraction process, and mentioned that he didn’t want to get too close and cause nerve damage. So he decided to insert a medicated, mineral rich substance on the bottom of where the remaining cavity was touching the root, prior to filling the cavity up. He informed me that the tooth will get stronger with time and if I feel any pain while eating hot or cold foods to contact him immediately. He also advised that if I start to feel any discomfort or pain, there is a good chance that I will need a root canal due to the severity of that particular cavity.
The other 3 cavities were also filled with ease. It felt great to take care of those cavities while they were still very small.
Dr. Simian also conducted a follow-​up with me via cell phone. He was extremely knowledgeable, kind, courteous and genuinely concerned about my well being… which really made me feel like I was being cared for by «family.»
It is currently December 22, 2015 as of this writing, and I haven’t felt much pain or discomfort in my bottom molar after the procedure. Every now and then I feel some minor throbbing, but that is expected because that was a pretty bad cavity that I allowed to fester for about 10 years.
I am 100% satisfied and highly recommend Drescher and Cohen D.D.S. to anyone looking for the best experience in both customer service and professional dental expertise!

Dr. Cohen and Tanya always do a great job with my dental health… and they are not pushy, which is nice. Everyone at Drescher and Cohen has a smile on their face and it is a nice, clean office.

Always a very good experience! Staff is always friendly and polite and scheduling is always on time. Our family has been coming to them for years. We’ve moved to Gwinnett County but refused to change our dentist!

I’ve gone to this dentist for years. Their entire staff is extremely friendly, I’m never kept waiting, and they do a fantastic job.

I just had my first visit on Friday, and I must say I was impressed. I decided to try them one, because a coworker recommended them and it is across the street from my job. They also have early morning appointments so I don’t miss work. The staff was extra friendly and helpful. I went in for a routine cleaning. The dentist addressed a issue I had with my gums. For the record I go to the dentist every six months. I had this issue for years but my former dentist said there was nothing that could be done. Well let’s just say it will corrected in the very near future. I’m very impressed. This will be my new dental home.

i hope the people who wrote the bad review get popped in the face and their fall out and never are able to replace them.
This place is simply the best. I have been going for 6 months and it is the B E S T !! Yes it does cost money. I am getting braces but it is worth every cent. My teeth are the one thing about myself I cannot stand and they are in the process of getting them on their way to perfection. I love the people here and if they offered me a job I would work here. It is my favorite place to go to every month.

I’ve been coming here for the past 7 years ace I started working in the building. They came highly recommended by my coworkers. I’ve been very happy with the care I’ve received here from the excellent cleanings (I’m very picky!) to the crown I needed a few years ago. I no longer work at Colony Square but I still come here!

Not pleased at all by how I was treated. Plus I agree with the other reviewer that expensive garage parking is annoying. The barber shop downstairs validates parking for a $ 20 haircut. Drescher & Cohen cannot validate after a $ 300 procedure?
I’ll be finding a new dentist pronto!

I have been coming to Dr. Cohen since 1993 and I love this office. Sarah has been my hygenist for years and she is the best. Everyone in the office is very friendly. I actually look forward to my bi-​yearly cleaning!

I came in today to have a routine dental cleaning. One of our office staff members recommended the office. Well, I had the best dental cleaning that I can recall in 33 years. Sarah, my hygenist, has been in the practice for over 9 years. She was meticulous, attentive, professional and superb. As a medical professional, I was extremely pleased with her direct approach to problems and recommendations. She was on top of everything, from medical advice, to what is covered or not with issurance, and what she would do or not do. I felt that my time spent with Sarah was extremely well organized and productive.
Dr. Drescher — came in for his evaluation, even checked in while sarah was working on. He is extremely personable, approachable, and professional. He is well versed in general dentistry and also has extensive experience over 19 yeara with Invisilign. I must say, as a new resident to the Atlanta area, I am elated to be taken cae of by Dr Drescher and his staff.
Karen (who speaks Spanish) and Cindy in the front desk were superbly friendly and organized. I am just overall very pleased with my experience and will be defenitely coming back. I loved the fact that you can pre do all your paperwork online, and they were super efficient in calling me back 5 mins before my appt time to get my cleaning started!
For those people who live in the Midtown area, walking to the office is convenient.

Expensive garage parking. Hassle to get to office on upper floor 15^th floor. Small, outdated office. Front desk staff hit or miss. Dental assistant used yucky Arm & Hammer solution to clean teeth. So glad I found 19^th Street Dental! Goodbye to this place.

Dr. Cohen & Dr. Dresher are awesome. Both are extremely skilled practitioners. I have been a patient of Dr. Cohen for most of my adult life. I had a five year period that that I lived out of Atlanta in 3 different states. In each location I went to a new dentist. Each dentist commented on the excellent quality of the work that had been done by Dr Cohen. Dr. Dresher replaced a broken front tooth with a new crown that is excellent in both appearance and function. Both dentist are masters at truly painless dentistry

Everyone who goes here has been going there for years and years. Every time a patient walks by, the staff will call out their name and ask about their families — it’s just amazing how well they know their patients. They have digital xrays now and computers, but still use paper charts. Great staff, dentists are very chilled out, very sweet and knowledgeable. Love coming here!

In my memory, I have had two dentists: my childhood dentist and Doctor Drescher. I love him & my hygenist, Erin. They always bill my insurance and have worked with me when I have had to pay something off.
